Yay! It worked! Using the Command ID tool tips, I was able to identify the Map Analysis tab and added my group there, and I can see it! Thank you!!!

Wow! Is that 2.6? (Guessing from file name) I'm running 2.5.1 and the command ID only shows the tab name...which I can already see. I also don't have check boxes nor the cool icons that show up on the left column. Oh, but wait, I've been getting to the Customize the Ribbon windows using the method in an Esri article, where you click Projects > Options > Customize the Ribbon. If I do it your way, I do see the actual code. Yes, this helps a lot. I see know that I added my custom Group to the Core Analysis Ribbon. Soooo, what does that mean? And would I need to add it to all of the Analysis tabs? I've decided it is much easier to just create a New Tab and put my New Group there, but do want to understand how this works. Thank you!

"each of the Analysis groups" How many are there? I'm trying to add a Group to the Analysis tab and selected the first one under MAIN TABS on the right. But it doesn't show up. Then I noticed that there are more than on Analysis tabs. Do I need to add my new group to each one? Where do these other Analysis tabs show up on the ribbon? "There is some pending development work to improve the customize ribbon experience." That's good to know because I'm really confused about all these duplicate tabs that are all MAIN TABS! I just realized why there are multiple tabs, one for each view, map view, layout view, etc. But it would be REALLY nice if we could tell which is which when looking at the right hand column in the Customize the Ribbon window. Thank you.

Just so you know, I am having the same issue in ArcGIS 2.5.1. Created new domains, opened the Domain view, they aren't there. I do have features added to a map, though they are only in the Contents, not actually on the map because there are no records in them yet. I am using a file gdb. The only way I could get them to appear was to close Pro and then open it up again, open the Domain view again and there they are.

The Catalog Pane pop-up that appears when you hover over a layer shows the file name, type, modified date and location. Could you add the Summary? That would be most helpful. If it would take up too much screen space, I don't need the Location. I'm in Catalog Pane. I'm looking at it! It would save time Viewing the Metadata.

Yes, that's where I was aiming for, but I see that I missed. Don't know if I can MOVE this, but will create a new post in Ideas and cancel or delete this one! Thank you! Cathy

Whenever I create a new Feature Class using ArcGIS Pro Catalog Pane, I want to add it to my current map right way. Could we have an option in the Create Feature Class Geoprocessing Pane to Add to Current Map?

I have a map series that I had created in ArcMap. I just imported it into an ArcGIS Pro, then Shared the Layout as a PDF Map Series. I have the Legend set to "Only show features visible in the map extent." Then I opened up my PDF and I was actually pleasantly surprised that it worked fine the first try! The legend resizes as needed as I switch to different pages that have different features showing. I realize this isn't quite what you are doing. You are manually turning on and off layers, so I also did an experiment with a layout, turning on and off layers and the legend adjusted appropriately. The issues I posted about in May of last year regarding the Fitting Strategy seem to have been resolved. In Layout view, in the Contents pane, double-click your legend which will open the Format Legend pane. In the Format Legend pane, under Legend Items, click "Show properties..." Under Feature Display Options, check "Only show features visible in the map extent" Click the back arrow at the top of the pane Select the next icon, which is the Legend Arrangement Options. Under Arrangement, Fitting Strategy, select "Adjust columns and font size" I hope this helps!

If you are looking for the folder that your ArcGIS Pro project files are in, it is in the Project folder. I agree that it would be nice if it also showed up in the list of folders where it resides in Windows, but the easiest way to access it is to simply click the "Folders" folder under "Project" at the top of the window.

We are using an iPad mini and have a TruPulse blue tooth laser rangefinder. Years ago, I used ArcPad on a Trimble GeoXH and the same laser rangefinder and was able to collect a point on a bush that was halfway up a large dune. To climb up there would have been a lot of work and would have disturbed the ground. We were surveying plant locations that are dune beetle habitat. Often a creek or other vegetation keeps us from getting to a location. Now, I just take a point near the item I want to collect with a note, then correct it once back in the office, but it isn't accurate. We recently purchased a Bad Elf GNSS Surveyor. It would be nice to be able to get this in the workflow.

According to this article, it should work. https://community.esri.com/ideas/14329-scale-legend-contents-automatically-with-change-in-size?commentID=56559#comment-56559 But it doesn't. It is unacceptable that the only way to resize a legend from the default too-small-for-a-poster-sized-map, to a size that is readable from maybe 4 feet away, is to either make all of the text bigger, which makes them all the same size; or convert to graphics and manually resize each element. If I change any of the Fitting Strategy items (Format Legend pane, Legend tab, Legend Arrangement Options icon, Arrangement, Fitting Strategy dropdown box) and then resize the frame, the frame gets bigger, but the legend itself doesn't change. The only Fitting Strategy that does anything different is "Adjust frame" and all it does is make the frame match the legend. Surely this isn't the way this setting is meant to work. Please fix this. Thank you!

It seems to me that when I'm connected to a subfolder, Pro won't show the parent folder. Maybe it thinks I'm already connected to that folder. The workaround that Lance Kirby offers works like a charm! Just connect to the parent's parent folder, then you an navigate to it in the Catalog pane.
