Thanks for the suggestion. I don't think I can do it that way - my polygon layer is stored in a file geodatabase so I don't think it's possible for me to create the query layer.

Hi everyone, I would like to use dynamic text to display the number of points that fall within a polygon feature class in my ArcPro layout (*bonus points for an expression that only counts distinct ID values from my points layer*). Is this possible? This is what I have so far and keep getting an error: var point = $feature;
var polygon = FeatureSetByName($datastore, "Buffer_of_Site_Address_Points_500m", ["BufferDist"], True);
var STA = Intersects(point, polygon)
var cnt = Count(STA);
return cnt;

I would also like to do this but I would like it to display as dynamic text in an ArcPro layout. I am currently using a Count function to display the number of points in my layout but I need it to count the number of points that fall within the polygon in my layout.

Thanks David! I see the folder path now. Do you know if it is possible for me to export the models to my new default gdb and delete them from the old one?

Hi everyone, Wondering if it is possible to export a toolbox or set of models into a different Default toolbox from ArcPro. I mistakenly created a new project in the same folder as an old project and either changed or deleted the default toolbox and geodabase that is automatically created with a new project. I moved the old project to a new location and the models that I created in the new project completely disappeared. I wasn't able to find the folder path to the toolbox's source like I can do with feature classes (right click in the contents pane, properties, source) but was able to track it down in the old folder that I moved. I would like to know 2 things: 1. is it possible to find the folder path to the toolbox from catalog or somewhere else using ArcPro? 2. is it possible to import/export the models to a different toolbox?

The Get Field GP tool only returns the first row according to the ESRI documentation (Get Field Value (ModelBuilder)—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation). If you are trying to copy a field value from one table to another I believe you need a common ID field to join the tables together before you perform the field calculation.

Is it possible to create an Output Name parameter from the Summarize Within GP tool in ModelBuilder? I have tried the usual right click on the tool name, hover over create variable, from parameter but I'm not seeing an Output Name option like I do with some of the tools in my other models (Feature Class to Feature Class). I need to run multiple iterations with slight changes so it is important that I have the option to change this without editing the model every time.

Hi Jasmine, You may want to created a new post in the Survey123 questions board (ArcGIS Survey123 Questions - Esri Community) to reach more people with your request. I would suggest looking into experience builder and the Survey123 widget. I recently launched an experience that automatically populates the geometry, road name and asset ID of a road segment in a survey widget using the send data to this survey function. You can find some of the details in this blog: Using Experience Builder and Survey123 to pass attributes and geometry from one layer to another (esri.com).

It sounds like the dissolve tool would work but my data is stored in a series of tables, not feature classes, so I'm not sure if it will work. My workaround for now has been to export one of the tables into a new table (Final_SCORE), join the score field from each of the other tables (2 joins) and then run a series of calculations to get my final score. I would like to slim it down if possible though since I will be adding more factors in the near future.

I am creating a model in ArcPro for a suitability analysis. I have 3 factors that will influence my final score. Right now I run a series of calculations to determine a score for each factor. What I would like to do is add up the score from each factor to determine a final score (Score A + Score B + Score C). I would like to use a join/merge or other tool to create a table that contains 1 polygon feature for each area of interest (OBJECTID) populated with a score fields from 3 separate tables. The merge tool appends all of the tables together like this: OBJECTID A_SCORE B_SCORE C_SCORE Final_SCORE 1 0 0 0 0 1 0 2.5 0 2.5 1 0 0 18.13 18.13 2 5 0 0 5 2 0 5 0 5 2 0 0 21.8 21.8 but what I would like to see is 1 row per OBJECTID which should look like this: OBJECTID A_SCORE B_SCORE C_SCORE Final_SCORE 1 0 2.5 18.13 20.63 2 5 5 21.8 31.8 Which tools should I be using to accomplish this? I am currently only including 3 factors but will have 9 in total so I'm hoping there are some batch tools available to make the model less complicated.

Thank you! Works perfectly. There is one attribute that I cannot change this setting on though. Is there a reason for this?

Is it possible to constrain AGOL feature layer edits to a single attribute field? I've been searching for a way to allow a coworkers to populate a flag field in a line feature layer. Editing in map viewer does not seem intuitive and comes with the risk of someone editing the wrong attribute field. It takes quite a few clicks to get into the editing menu (...more -> Edit -> Edit feature -> select feature) and once there my configured pop-ups are not honoured so 20+ attributes can be edited with the flag field listed at the very bottom of the scrolling window. My other idea was to use experience builder with a Survey123 widget. The user can click on a line segment and submit a survey that indicates whether that line segment should be flagged by answering a yes/no question. My problem with this approach is that if someone makes a mistake or submits multiple surveys for the same line segment, I won't know which one is authoritative.

Do you have to store the pattern in a feature class or do you just want to symbolize the inside of your polygon in a zig-zag pattern? If you need to store the feature classes you may be able to do this manually. Create points at equal intervals along your centerlines (Create point features along a line—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation). Create a line feature class. Snap the line to the centerline points. Repeat across your study area. Not perfect but you might be able to make something useable: If you want a Patter Fill in arcpro you can format the polygon symbol. Choose add symbol layer and change the symbol to a v. Shift the x & y steps until you have something that resembles a zig zag

Thanks, I was able to achieve the results I was hoping for using the Feature to Point tool but I bet multipart to single part would work as well. Feature to Vertices isn't the problem. Using Intersect and changing the output type to point left me with a multipoint feature class. I get an error when I try to merge that with a point feature class.

Is it possible to explode the features of a multipoint feature class into a point feature class using modelbuilder? Or is there a better way for me to create a point layer that stores the start, end and all intersection locations of a roads feature class?
