Great solution! Yes, I agree that some sort of desktop or server solution to share out markups would be very beneficial. Maybe suggest it on the Ideas page?

Alix, Yes, you're right! I was on the wrong screen. I see the screen you are talking about now and I was able to delete the extra markup layers. Thanks! Where can I make a request to delete multiple markup layers at once? I had 30 layers to get rid of. That was pretty tedious doing them one at a time. Thanks again for your help! Matt

I'd be curious if it is in fact a bug or as-designed. It might be worth a call to Support to ask them.

This will be fixed in 4.19 and you can test against our next build today. https://github.com/Esri/feedback-js-api-next

Thanks @ReneRubalcava! I really wanted to make this work for a PWA. It seems it is technically possible, it is unlikely to work on iOS where there is a 50 MB cap. In case others are interested, we found that switching to ES Modules inscreased the size of our js folder by 32 MB, and the assets folder is 22 MB. With that alone, you are over 50 MB. The ArcGIS Javascript API is so powerful, and I understand why it is large, but it would be nice in the future if we could get an optimized version just for the few small methods we are using in our applications.

Perfect! Thanks for the quick response. I was just missing content: document.getElementById("info"). For others who may be interested, the following also works: const expand = new Expand({
view,
content: info.$el
});

You can't use a renderer on a GraphicsLayer, "Each graphic must have its own symbol since the GraphicsLayer cannot have an associated renderer". That's a real bummer. It was a nice feature in 3.X.

I have a hosted feature service where I would like some of the attribute fields editable and other non-editable (view-only). How can I do that? I see I can create a view of the feature layer, and in the view I can select which fields are viewable. I want the fields viewable, just not all of them editable.

Erwin, 1. That worked great for me. I also a way to set it in my sendRequest function (see below). NetworkRequest {
id: req
url: "https://somedomain/someEndpoint"
method: "POST"
responseType: "json"
onReadyStateChanged: {
console.log("readyState: ", readyState);
if (readyState !== 4) return;
if (status !== 200) return;
console.log("Response Received!");
}
onError: {
console.log("********************** Request Failed >")
console.log("errorText:" + errorText)
console.log("errorCode:" + errorCode)
}
function sendRequest(portalToken) {
var payload = {
"access_token": portalToken,
"portal_url": "https://www.arcgis.com"
};
headers.json = {
"Content-Type": "application/json"
};
send(JSON.stringify(payload, undefined, 2));
}
} 2. It turns out in the Udemy course they were using a custom library. I'm sure the just built something on top of XMLHttpRequest. For anyone else who is interested in using a promise-based approach, I ended up using this post as a guide to create my own custom network request function. It turned out great. Thanks again! Matt

OK. I thought I would check. Some how I got an email list from Qt and I wasn't clear on what they provide vs. what is available from AppStudio. Thanks.

OK. That feature isn't a big deal for me. I just tried it since it was already and there and wanted to make sure there wasn't some big change I should be aware of about switching from a scene to a map. Thanks again!

Hi Ben and Noah, Both great points. Noah, yes it's true, I'm sure it is all there using the REST API, it just would take a little bit of work. Ben, that is what I was looking for. The answer seems obvious now that you point it out. I don't need a map and layers and all that, just a quick query and create a graphic. Perfect! Thanks again!

Hello Matt, From the ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Qt QML documentation link on Credentials object, Credential QML Type | ArcGIS for Developers , it can be composed of user account information (username and password), OAuth client information (OAuthClientInfo), or a secured token. On the side note, would you be able to create both Survey123 Portal object and ArcGIS Runtime object(s) together when the user first logins? Thank you, Erwin

I have a web app that uses OAuth2 to authenticate Esri named users. I have an access token for the user and, if the feature service is "secured" (not shared with public), I append the token to the feature service to load it (e.g. "[feature service url]?token=[token]") . It used to be that if I appended the token to a "public" feature service (share with everyone), then I would get an error and the service wouldn't load. That meant I would have to track which services were "secured" and which were "public" and request the data accordingly. I noticed on AGOL the other day when I looked at the details page of a "public" feature service that an access token was appended to it. I thought that was interesting, so I started experimenting. It appears that I can now append an any Esri access token to a "public" feature service and it will still load as long as the token is valid. I have 3 questions on this topic: Is my understanding correct, that you can append an access token to a "public" feature service and it will still load? If that is correct, when was the change made? Is it documented somewhere? Will that always work in the future? If so, I am going to simplify my codebase and always append an access token to feature services. If it is uncertain, I might need to leave it all in "just in case". Thanks!
