It is good to know that the images are compressed. But are they also resized (iOS). I am not able to test it currently, but I remember that sometimes images where quite large in pixel size and some were smaller. Is there any algorithm on how and when the images are resized? If they are resized what size are they resized to?

Hi Anna. I am sorry for a late answer. The solution I have tried was described in the following post: Geocoding in Europe - House number on the right side of address

Currently when user want to use "find locations by web map option" functionality in ArcGIS online, only the text fields can be searched. Is there going to be possibility to also choose from numerical fields. It would be really nice if user could search for object ids, which are often of numerical type. Martin

Is there no workaround for this? Or are there any plans to change this. It would be great I do not have to create cache for very large scales, and when user zooms closer in than the cache level, the image would disappear, or would just zoom digitally, even though there would not be more detail shown on the map.

I would like to create a map on ArcGIS online account where one of the layer is cached (aerial image). However, I have experienced that when I add a cached service to the map, a user can only zoom in to the last level created in cached layer. However, I would like for a user to zoom in without setting any limits. Is this possible?

You can try to republish the service, if you have problem editing. Also make sure that "allow geometry updates" is checked when publishing the service.

Save button at AGOL is used to save the map settings not the edits. Your edits are saved immediately, after they are commited.

Choose one db as source db. Once a day create a checkout (export data to filegdb) send it to the other gdb. Than at the end of the day send checkout back to first db and synchronize. Afterwards you start the circle again. Python script which runs in defined interval would be way to go.

I can see, that there aren't many answers to question about geocoding in Europe. Can somebody from ESRI try to answer my question or let me know who could I contact in order to get some response to my question? I believe that it shouldn't be so difficult to create new geocoding style for someone who was developing the styles. I have tried to alter the xml files of the geocoding style, but only with partial success. (It worked when I entered an address in geocoding toolbar in ArcMAP, but when I tried to geocode via python script, the address in format [street name] [house number] didn't worked.

I am wondering, is there really no address locator style in ArcGIS which can be used without any tweaking for European addresses, which are written in the following format: [Street Name] [House Nr.] [ZIP] [City] eg. Kastanievej 15 8660 Skanderbort Especially, the street name and house number line is important. I have build my own geocoder based on style "US Address—Single House", the house number is prior to streeet address in this style, thus it requires the address to be grammatically changed, before it is send to the locator. It is usually not really a big deal, but sometimes it can give you some headaches. So I really wonder, why there is no style defined in ArcGIS for this widely used European address style? Some of the countries which use this address format in no particular order are: Denmark Norway Sweden Finland Germany Austria Faroe Islands Netherland Slovakia Czech Republic Italy Belgium Russia and others Do we, ESRI customers in these countries, not deserve a build-in address style (template) we could use for our geocoding services?

Does this mean that I have to remove Z-values from the published datasets? Hopefully this will be soon resolved by ESRI.

We are experiencing the same issue. Our data are stored in ArcGIS server. We started to experience this issue firt yesterday. We are experiencing following scenarios: Some of the older feature services can be edited in AGOL and on mobile devices Some of the older feature services can be only edited on mobile devices and not in AGOL Services published yesterday and newer cannot be edited in AGOL and won't show up in ArcGIS collector. Can this be some issue with AGOL September update?
