Dear All, We are planning to develop a mapping application using ArcGIS API for Flex, instead of using trail version of Flash Builder 4.7 we are planning to buy full version. But there are two editions available with Flash Builder 4.7 i.e. Flash Builder 4.7 Premium Flash Builder 4.7 Standard Flash Builder 4.7 Premium edition price is three times morethan the Flash Builder 4.7 Standard edition. Which edition I need to buy? and what are the limitations in Flash Builder 4.7 Standard edition. Please suggest me. Thanks, Uday

Hi All, I have developd a map with TOC, Navigation Toolbar and some other query options using Javasctipt API in .aspx page. When I run it individually, it is working perfectly, but I want to embed it into another .net application. In .NET application I have a page with one dropdown with various options. Upon selection of option from dropdown I need to show the above said map. Iam getting below error. **Message: Could not load class 'dijit.layout.BorderContainer Line: 15 Char: 133114 Code: 0 URI: http://myserver/arcgis_js_api/library/3.1/jsapi/** I have hosted Javascript API in my local IIS. Dear All, Currently we have Geodatabase on ArcSDE 9.1, we are plannig to migrate it to ArcSDE 10.0. My plan is 1. create Geodatabase on ArcSDE 10.0 and 2. Copy datasets from ArcSDE 9.1 Geodatabase and paste it into ArcSDE 10.0 Geodatabase. Is it right approach? if not please suggest me correct approach. Note: Our Geodatabase on MS SQL Server. Thanks in advance, Uday

Hello Vince, Thank you very much for the response. If I do not use spatial types -- GEOMETRY and GEOGRAPHY in my database, is this combination is fine or any other problems may araise? Thanks, Uday

Dear Vince, Thank you very much for the quick reply. Eventhough SQL Server is 2008, the SDE database Compatibility level is SQL Server 2000(80). And Iam able to edit the feature classes and save to database. Could you please let me know what spatial type support this combination does not support. Thanks, Uday

The format of the 'file=' file is documented with both 'shp2sde' and 'sde2shp', though it's unlikely the full range of features documented for 10.0 online were available at 9.1. You'll need to look in your local documentation for the features avaliable. Given that you are working with a view, it makes more sense to construct the view that will cause the least trouble at export (including limiting the column names to 10 characters). What does 'sdetable -o describe' report on your view? - V Hi Vince, Finally my problem is solved Iam able to export SDE feature class to shape using -a file option. Thank you very much for your support. Thanks, Uday

While not supported, the easiest way is to create empty templates of the tables in the current database, use 'sdetable -o create_view' to build the spatial view, and then edit the view definition to point to the other databases. If the table uses GEOMETRY/GEOGRAPHY, then just define the view yourself, and register the result with 'sdelayer -o register'. - V Hi Vince, Thank you very much for the response. Iam doing this task as you suggested (first create view and export it to shape file). Iam able to create view and Iam able to see point feature class in arc catalog. When I try to to export this view(feature class) to shape file Iam getting the following error C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>sde2shp -o init -l Wells, shape -f E: \Wells.shp -t point -i 5151 -a all -u wysde -p wysde ArcSDE 9.1 SQL Server Build 2101 Thu Mar 3 18:55:48 PST 2005 Layer Features to Shape File Administration Utility ----------------------------------------------------- Truncating column FACILITYNAME to a width of 254 from 255. When I installed, it has installed successfully. But Iam not able see the tool neither in ArcMap nor in ArcCatalog nor in Add Remove Programs. What could be the problem? Please can anybody help me?
