Hi @BrandonGuo - the current release of Field Maps does not support Popup Elements - the newer fully-featured popups created by the Map Viewer. This includes the new options for displaying Attachments as a list or a gallery within their own element in the popup instead of in a separate tab. That support is coming in the 22.4 release this fall. However, if you'd like to try it out early Popup Elements are supported in the current Beta, you can find out more here: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/field-maps/field-mobility/arcgis-field-maps-early-access-release-august-2022/.

Hi @TillemaSimonTillema , We are actively working on more LRS capabilities for Field Maps. Can you tell us a bit more about your use case and workflow and what behaviors you would like to see in the app? Some things that would be helpful for us to know; - Would you be selecting the polyline layer manually that you'll be collecting against or should it happen automatically using the closest feature? - Do you need to derive the start and end measure in the map using your location and/or dropped pins or will they be coming from a different source? Any details you can share about how you would like to use the LRS capabilities would be very helpful. Thanks! Chris

@pauline1985 - conditional visibility uses the Constraint profile, so building on what jcarlson posted above, if you change the profile in the Arcade Playground to Constraint, you'll be able to see which functions will work and which ones will not. The profile is based on where you are working, it's not something that can be changed - for instance if you are adding expressions to a popup, it will use the Popup profile, if you are adding expressions for labels it will use the Label profile, etc.

Hi @pauline1985 , Where in Field Maps web are you adding the arcade expression? Each arcade function is associated with one or more profiles which determine where the function will work. The Feature Set functions work with the Attribute Rules, Dashboard Data, Popups, Field Calculation, Form Calculation, and Task profiles. If you are trying to use them someplace other than those areas they will not be available. Chris

Hi @Mitch_East - you're in luck. At the top of the map screen there is a GPS Banner which displays the GPS accuracy. If you tap on that you will see the toggle to turn Location Sharing on or off from within the map so you won't have to go back out to the browse maps screen to change it. I hope that helps! Chris

Hi @JustinReynolds, While m-values are not currently returned by the Map Viewer api, runtime will properly evaluate Arcade expressions with m-values, so they should work in Field Maps, even if you can't test them thoroughly in the Map Viewer. There are active discussions on our end around adding support so expression results will be consistent across the platform. Chris

@LindseyStone enhancements typically go through ArcGIS Online first and then are moved to Portal in subsequent releases, so it will come to portal as well. For anyone experiencing this issue, I believe the following steps will give you an option to keep over zoom capabilities in your maps without using ago-assistant: 1. Create a map in pro with the basemap you want 2. Set the max scale to 0 (not none) 3. Save as a web map 4. Open the web map in the online Map Viewer 5. Move the basemap up to the layer section of the web map 6. Save it as a layer item You will now be able to add that layer item to a map and move it to the basemap and it should honor the maxScale of 0 and allow you to over zoom. While this does require a few extra steps up front, it will at least create a re-useable basemap so you won't need to change the maxScale setting for every map you create. I hope that helps. Chris

Hi Kevin, I have a few follow up questions - Does this workflow involve offline areas or are you online while collecting data? And does the GPS location work before capturing the photo or does it never acquire a location? And as Robert mentioned, can you confirm that location is enabled for Field maps for that user? Also, what happens between steps 2 and 3 above? You select the parcel, but then do you start editing the polygon to add new photo attachments? Or are you adding related records or linking out to another app like Survey 123? Chris

We are currently working with the ArcGIS Online team to expose this setting in the map viewer UI, I will provide an update when we know more and/or when we have a timeline for it to be released.

Field Maps is available on both iOS and Android and it has a lot of bug fixes and stability improvements that are not in Explorer - it was designed to bring together Explorer, Collector, and Tracker capabilities into one app. You can find some more information here: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/field-maps/field-mobility/announcing-arcgis-field-maps/

Hello, Do you know if your organization recently started using the newer map viewer in ArcGIS Online? Some of the enhanced popup features in the new map viewer are not yet supported in some mobile apps and the best option will be to continue using map viewer classic for the time being. Support for more advanced popups will be coming to ArcGIS Field Maps, but as ArcGIS Explorer has been deprecated on iOS and Android those apps will not be updated to support the newer popups. It will be worth checking to see if the maps work correctly in ArcGIS Field Maps whether or not you are using the newer map viewer as any potential bugs would be addressed in future versions of Field Maps. HI @David , The ability to zoom in beyond the maximum visible scale of a basemap and have the basemap still visible was actually a bug (albeit a useful one for many people). Field Maps now honors the MaxScale setting in the json for the webmap so the basemap will disappear when you zoom in beyond that scale. The current easiest way to get around this and keep the basemap showing when you zoom in is to use https://ago-assistant.esri.com to change the MaxScale for the basemap to 0. This will keep the basemap visible no matter how far you zoom in. I hope that helps. Chris

Hi @kaww02 , Have you tried opening the MMPK in Field Maps? Explorer has been deprecated and is no longer in active development, there have been some changes between Explorer and Field Maps that I believe will resolve this issue for you. Chris
