Hi, I am using an infoWindowRenderer to a graphic. Following is css used. supportClasses|InfoContainer { background-color: #ffffff; font-size: 12; info-placement: upperRight; } The pointer of the infowindow starts from the center of the PictureSymbol. How do i make the infowindow pointer start from the top right hand tip of the PictureSymbol. I tried the info-offset-y and info-offset-x, this setting just offsetting the entire window and not the pointer.

Hi, I'm glad to hear that you resolved your issue. Consider this post an FYI. This behavior is correct as the configuration files are created by the Business Analyst Server Setup and not by the Data Setup. Chris

Hi Prashanth, At BA Server 10 sp 2 we are only supporting SQL Server ArcSDE Geodatabases. Oracle is not fully supported at this time. The plan is to fully support Oracle as a BA Server Repository at 10 sp 3. Chris Thank you Chris. I guess we will wait for 10SP3. Thank you for the time you spent with us at the User Conference. We were able to successfully upload the custom report. Best Regards Prashanth Sukumaran

Hi, We are in the process of migrating our GeoApp from Flex 3 to Flex 4 and Flex API for ARCGIS 2.1. We would like to keep the changes to minimum and also take the advantages of the new Flex API for ArcGIS 2.1. We have enabled the "Flex 3 compatibility mode". This is throwing the The dependency com.esri.ags.layers.GraphicsLayer from C:\....\flex_libs\agslib-2.1-2010-09-17.swc has a minimum supported version of 4.0.0, which is higher than the compatibility version, 3.0.0. BaseWidget.as /GeoApp/flex_src/com/esri/solutions/flexviewer. Is there a way around this. We have a lot of Flex Code. If i uncheck/unselect the "Flex 3 compatibility mode", do i have to do a lot of changes to take advantages of the Flex 4 and ArcGIS Flex 2.1

Before running any python scripts on unix, you must first set the proper environment. This can be accomplished by sourcing the init files provided with ArcGIS Server install on unix. These init files are present in <arcgis install dir>/servercore/.Server . There are init files for different shells. So if you are using bash shell, you can use source /arcgis/servercore/.Server/init_server.sh Now if you run your python script, it should work fine. Hope this helps Deelesh

You can also do this. Just in case you want to add custom menu items to the map. disabling right click will not work.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<mx:Application
creationComplete="onCreationComplete()"
xmlns:mx=http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml
xmlns:esri=http://www.esri.com/2008/ags>
<mx:Script>
<![CDATA[
privatefunction onCreationComplete() : void
{
var contextMenu:ContextMenu = new ContextMenu();
contextMenu.hideBuiltInItems();
myMap.contextMenu = contextMenu;
contextMenu.customItems.push(new ContextMenuItem("Custom Menu Item",true));
}

]]>
</mx:Script>
<esri:Map id="myMap" width="100%">
<esri:ArcGISTiledMapServiceLayer
url="

</esri:Map>

Hi, First, Address Coder is a program built on the same geocoder that is in ArcMAP. Second, Address Coder itself does not have an API that can be called. It does however have a command line mode that maybe you can use via a "shell" command. The following is taken from Address Coder's help file on the Command Line Feature:
Sometimes it is necessary to code a file without interaction from the user interface. Perhaps you require one program to start an Address Coder job running without interaction or you have a series of saved projects that need to be run automatically. This can be done by using a command line parameter. Address Coder accepts one command line parameter, an Address Coder project file. Address Coder project files are created with the user interface. Set up a job the way you normally would, selecting the input and output files, data items, and reports. Click Save on the toolbar to create the .cpr file. This file can then be used during batch processing or from the command line. Command line use has a form similar to the following: "c:\Program Files\ESRI\Address Coder\acoder.exe" "d:\My Projects\Project_01.cpr" The parameter containing the .cpr file should always contain the full path. The .exe string and .cpr string should be enclosed in double quotes (" ") if they contain any spaces. If you have a number of projects, you can place a series of statements like the one above in a .bat file that can be executed from Start > Run or a command prompt. Address Coder project files are text files that are in an .ini format, are easily edited with any text editor (for example, Notepad), and can be accessed programmatically if you need to generate a large number of project files.
HTH

Thank Prashanth, this is work fine. Do not use it because the image obtained is of low quality. Alexander Mena. Try PNG, you should see a good quality output. JPEG is lossy compression and would not be good.
