We have a case with Esri support on this now and have a first workaround. As Ken Buja correctly stated, it is also a transformation issue. Our data is in projected coordinate systems (ED50, UTM zones), and as default in our Pro project do we have the topographic basemap (WGS 1984 Web Mercator (auxiliary sphere)). Because your basemap is a different coordinate system, you also have a transformation. By removing the transformation in the map properties (change it to <none>), the calculations are correct. So the short workaround is: remove the transformation.

Hi there, I am observing differences in how ArcGIS Pro calculates geometry/coordinates in DMS (degrees minutes seconds). The process in ArcMap was very straight forward: While in ArcGIS Pro, you have to also double check and set the environmental settings: Now these are the results: ArcGIS Pro ArcMap The seconds are always different. Sure, it is just a couple of seconds but still, why is there a difference in the results of the calculation? The issue is that we are providing colleagues and customers with the coordinates who themselves plot them into their software and then we get quite some deviation.

I have googled my request in many different wordings but can't seem to get it right. I would like to have a predefined shape for my features, such as a default editing style for line features, in my case, and it would look f.eks. something like this: Right now, I just copy the lines from the feature class and move them to the right location. Ideally, I would like to have this template in the Create pane, I choose it (instead of choosing the line edit feature) and then simply click on the map to place it where I want to have it. Is there such a thing in ArcGIS Pro? If yes, what is it called and how can I create my predefined editing shape

Hi, I am wondering if it is possible to display the WKID in a dynamic text in a layout. Starting with this code in ArcMap: <dyn type="dataFrame" name="Layers" property="sr" srProperty="name"/><dyn type="dataFrame" name="Layers" property="sr" srProperty="projection" preStr="" newLine="true" emptyStr=""/><dyn type="dataFrame" name="Layers" property="sr" srProperty="datum" preStr="" newLine="true" emptyStr=""/><dyn type="dataFrame" name="Layers" Which results in: Now, I would also like to have the WKID for this projection, which is 23031. Any tips on how to achieve this?

Lorenz Meyer, how did you resolve the issue in the end? I tried to change my regional settings back, as described here by Antigoni but now I can't open the createadmin.html site anymore after I did a restart.

We do the same. Upgrading to 10.7.1 as we speak (and I got the same error message, so that is why I am here), even though 10.8 got released yesterday. It is the safest to wait for the first patches, always.

Randy, which ArcGIS Pro version are you running? There a some versions that are simply unworkable with (I think it was 2.4.1 or .2) and others work just fine. If it keeps crashing, it is worth trying an upgrade OR a downgrade (you will have to uninstall Pro first for doing the latter). Hang in there

Asking the great Esri user community: We like to label lines with the text at the end of the line and it appears, that it is not possible in Pro? These are the settings used in ArcMap: And in Pro, I am missing the "Location" part: Running ArcGIS Pro 2.4.0

Update: I talked to Esri support consultants and two of them worked on my screen for some hours and fixed it in the end. They set up a Webcontext URL and tried a lot of other stuff. In the end, they changed the federated server from hosting to standalone in the Portal Admin Directory, unfederated that server and federated the server again with the DNS name on Portal settings. All fixed now!

I moved our ArcGIS Server and Portal installations to new servers. I feel like I am very close to get everything up and running properly but have problems with federating the server with Portal correctly. I had troubles unfederating the old machine (error saying, that the server can't be unfederated and while I wanted to add the new server, it was stating, that it is already federated). So i then went to this page: https://portalurl:7443/arcgis/sharing/rest/portals/self/servers, registered the new server, and unregistered the old server. Restarted the Portal and all looked good in the Portal settings too. The old servername was gone and the new one appeared: Same in the Portal Admin Dir: Would it be safe to change the Portal properties under this link: https://serverurl:6443/arcgis/admin/security/config/update Where do I find the PortalSecretKey and the webgisServerTrustKey in that case? Any help is highly appreciated!
