I am also experiencing the same issue. # Convert pandas dataframe to Esri's spatially enabled dataframe
sdf = pd.DataFrame.spatial.from_xy(df1, 'longitude', 'latitude')
from arcgis.gis import *
gis = GIS()
m = GIS().map()
m.center = [36.081179, -79.556955]
m.zoom = 9
m
# Add sdf to the map
sdf.spatial.plot(kind='map', map_widget=m) Line 13 returns True with no update to the map. Any guidance or tips would be appreciated. #arcgisapiforpython #arcgisapi #arcgis api for python 1.6.2 #python3.6

Good morning all, I am looking for some clarification on an issue I'm having with Survey123 and Operations Dashboard. I have built a survey using Survey123 Connect version 3.5.166 and a dashboard that visualizes the results from the survey. I am using the List widget in the dashboard to display details from the survey. When the survey first went live, everything was configured nicely in the dashboard. Now that I have made a few updates and changed a few attributes, the dashboard displays the value from the name column and not from the label column as it did when it was first implemented. I have attached two images to highlight my issue. In the image, list_transit_alert.PNG, you can see that the bottom most survey from 10/14/2019 at 11:30 AM has a Status of 'Suspended Service' and Length of Delay 'More than 30 Minutes'. Those were configured in the first version. If you look at the top two details, you can see Length of Delay for the first survey as '11_15_minutes' and Status from the second report as 'on_time_shuttle_hold'. Both of these values as well as others have been added in subsequent versions. In the second image, Survey123_connect_transit_alert.PNG, you can see how I have configured the choices in Survey123 Connect. The first version displayed values from the Labels column on the right, but now that I have added choices, the values from the name column in the middle are the ones being displayed. Does anyone know how I can get the values from the Label column to display in the dashboard as they did in the first version? Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks, Miguel Fernandez

I am trying to analyze commute patterns using LODES data from the US Census. I downloaded a table that contained fields for home_census_block, work_census_block, and num_of_jobs. I joined that table to the census block geography using home_census_block as my join field. I then made a selection of census blocks that I wanted to analyze as the starting location for the commutes and made a new layer from that selection. I then created a relationship between the census block geography layer and the census block selection. The parameters for the Add Relate tool are: Layer Name: census_block_geography Input Relate Field: census_block_geography.GEOID10 Relate Table: census_block_selection Output Relate Field: work_censusblockID Cardinality: One to many The Add Relate tool runs fine with no errors but I can't seem to get what I want. What I'm trying to see is what census blocks people are working in that live in the selected area. I have tried using the 'select related records' from the attribute table menu but nothing happens. I'm wondering if this is the right approach or is there something different I should be doing to get the desired results. Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks, Miguel

Good morning all, I work at a transit agency and have developed an alert system using Survey123 Connect and Operations Dashboard. Dispatch uses the form to submit alerts that is visualized in a dashboard and used by our Call Center. The first line in the form is a Date/Time that is auto-populated using the now() function. The issue I'm having is Dispatch opens the form and it could sit there for 20 minutes or an hour before they submit a form and the time stamp is populated with the time that they opened the form and not when it was submitted. I know we could instruct them to refresh the form before they fill it out but they already have a lot going on so I'm trying to keep this simple for them. I also suggested removing the now() function and having the Date/Time question at the bottom of the form that Dispatch would have to manually fill out before submission but management does not like that idea either. My question is, is there another work around that I'm missing? I would think that Esri knows when the form is submitted because that's the event most would be really interested in. Any guidance or suggestions would be must appreciated. Thanks, Miguel Fernandez

Good afternoon, I am struggling with creating a nested if statement in the XLSForm for Survey123 Connect. I have a select multiple question that I am trying to count the number of times a selection is made. This is done through a hidden question type with a formula. For example, I have options in the select multiple list for Route 1 EB, Route 1 WB, Route 2 EB, Route 2 WB. Then in a dashboard I have a serial chart with counts for Route 1 and Route 2, etc. I am wanting the counts for Route 1 EB, WB, etc to be added in the hidden question total_route_1. In the survey, Route 1 EB could be selected, Route 1 WB could be selected, or both could be selected. This is the formula I have written and I can't seem to get it to work. if(selected(${routes},'route_1_EAST') and not(selected(${routes},'route_1_WEST'),1, or (selected(${routes},'route_1_WEST') and not(selected(${routes},'route_1_EAST'),1, or (selected(${routes},'route_1_EAST') and selected(${routes},'route_1_WEST'),2,0))))
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Miguel Fernandez

Good afternoon all, I have what seems to be a fairly straight-forward task and epitomizes GIS but I cannot find the right tool. I have a list of locations across a state and I need to create 5 roughly equal regions in the state. Here's the kicker, I only have access to an ArcGIS Basic license so I know that severely limits my capabilities. I do however have credits through ArcGIS Online and could use Network Analysis but I don't think the tool I'm looking for is in there. Any help pointing me in the right direction is appreciated. Thanks, Miguel Fernandez

Hey James Tedrick, I have reached out to my Customer Service Rep because there seems to be an issue with my account and submitting tickets. I alerted her to both issues and hopefully it will be resolved so I can submit a ticket. Thanks for reaching out.

Using Survey123 Connect 3.5.166 I have created a survey. The first question is a Date/Time field that is auto-populated when the form is opened using the now() function. There seems to be an issue during the 12 noon hour where the survey is populated with 12:xx AM instead of 12 PM. When 1 PM comes around, the form is populated with the correct time. I am using the latest version of Google Chrome to view the survey and the form is stored in my organization's ArcGIS Online account. Has anyone else experienced this or is this a bug? Thanks, Miguel

James Tedrick ichivite-esristaff I'm hoping to implement Survey123 and Integromat as an email notification system. Can you confirm that when a survey is submitted and triggers the webhook to send three emails, that is considered three operations? Or is that considered four operations with the submission of the survey counted as an operation? Thanks, Miguel Fernandez

I have a feature layer that represents bus stops. This feature layer is used in Collector Classic by our Operations department who inspects the bus stops. The stops are symbolized by a square and by a field called "Current" which lets the Ops. department know if the bus stop sign is current (green square) or not (red square). If the stop is a park & ride lot, a field titled "Rotation" gets a value of '45'. If it is not a park & ride lot, the field is populated with a '0'. This is used in the ArcGIS Online rotate symbol function that requires a field to rotate on turning the park & ride symbol to a diamond. The symbol is displayed correctly in ArcGIS Online, but the rotation is not honored in Collector. Is there a fix for this?
