Hi Kirk, I am having the same issue but with the geocoder. A custom geocoder can only be accessed in the webform if a organisation user is logged in but not available to public facing surveys (as far as I know and correct me if i'm wrong). I think this stuff is on the road map of future releases. Cheers, Simon

Hi Kassandra, I am using PyCharms IDE with a python virtual environment. When adding python-docx from pipy repository I am getting a invalid ssl certificate error. I think this is an issue with my internal firewall so I have contacted my it department. I tried adding a ssl certificate to list of those trusted in pycharms but that hasn’t worked either. Strange tho that I was able to upgrade the pip and requests modules but not able to add python-docx? Thanks, Simon Allard GIS Analyst Bay of Plenty Regional Council Toi Moana

Hi Kassandra, Could you share how you are importing the python-docx module. I keep getting an error in my script saying. import python-docx File "<ipython-input-6-d71ba5c26d0b>", line 1 import python-docx ^ SyntaxError: invalid syntax Cheers, Simon

Is this the same bug as this? Select by attribute not working on hosted layer because of the timestamp expression that is automatically populated via clause creation.

Hi James, Thank you for your reply. I can’t seem to get the correct syntax for populating the geocoded address from a lat long coordinate using the rest end geocoding service that we’ve created from LINZ data https://gistest.boprc.govt.nz/server/rest/services/LINZ_Street_Address_Locator_Test/GeocodeServer/reverseGeocode Here is the feature service (public) that is used to store the records from the survey. https://services1.arcgis.com/TWsoAGve3wb3oFHK/arcgis/rest/services/service_6d293b9993ab4a708a05940c8f52c079/FeatureServer I have repeated the same test using the same address. 6 Mair Street, Matatā. See Object ID 51 and 52. I have entered similar data both in the webapp and in the desktop field app of survey123 and the results are different. The X and Y lat long fields are populated everytime in both apps using the esri geocoder with simply the pulldata function but the reversegeocode.location and reversegeocode.adress.Match_addy only seem to be working when being run out of the desktop app (tested using both ESRI and our test LINZ geocoder). Is it possible that this could be a bug? hidden PWaterTake_LINZRevGeocodeAddy Reverse geocoded address at primary water take location pulldata("@geopoint",$,"reversegeocode.address.Match_addr", "https://gistest.boprc.govt.nz/server/rest/services/LINZ_Street_Address_Locator_Test/GeocodeServer")

I was wondering if reverse geocoding using the pull down function published out of Survey123 Connects works in the the Survey123 web form. I have tested this in the Survey123 field app for desktop and it works but it does not seem to be pulling the location info from our geocoding service through the webform. Another issue is the default value for a select_one type question is not working in the webform either when it is working fine in the Survey123 field app for desktop. Any ideas? Let me know if I need to provide additional information. Survey is public and can be accessed here: https://arcg.is/0LDLSe but the geocoder used is not accessible if not signed into our organisation but it is a public geocoder so should still populate the address in the database even if you are not able to select it in the map address search. Thank you, Simon

Hi Seth, Thank you for writing this script! You mentioned that this script needs to be run from an Arc Toolbox. Do you mean a python toolbox or a normal ArcToolbox? I don’t have much experience creating my own script tools and was having some difficulty getting the toolbox to fetch the input and output parameters. Also, what version of ArcGIS/ArcGIS Pro have you tested this script in? Any chance you could set this up in an ArcToolbox and package it up in a .zip file? Thanks for the answer Shaun, I know know how to read from the .lyr file or a direct connection to enterprise geodatabase. What about writing back to SDE using R, is this currently possible? Cheers, Simon Allard GIS Analyst Bay of Plenty Regional Council Toi Moana

Thanks Mike, We ended up downloading the Desktop App of Survey123, loading the survey, and pasting the .sqLite database in the parent directory for the database of that survey. We then clicked on the 'Fix Database' button and that seemed to reconcile the database changes and we able to ship on those surveys that were stored on the device to AGOL. Cheers, Simon

Hi Mike, Thanks for that. The ‘copy runtime to file geodatabase’ doesn’t run on .sqlite database – the tool fails. I changed the extension to .geodatabase and the tool ran but the result is a table – the same table that you can view directly as a .sqlite database in ArcCatalogue. When I used this tool on a .geodatabase file from Collector for ArcGIS – the output is a feature class with the relationship class and attachment table (if attachments are enabled). Therefore, this isn’t really working for me. Any other tips? Cheers, Simon Allard GIS Analyst Bay of Plenty Regional Council Toi Moana

https://community.esri.com/thread/183922-download-survey-from-device-after-upload-failed Has anyone developed a python script to extract the feature class data from the sqlite database? We had a schema change in a survey which overwrote the data on the hosted layer in ArcGIS Online and we would like to recover the data from the device and append this to the new survey layer. Thanks for any help, Cheers, Simon
