I have a related table that is referenced in my dashboard for multiple elements (multiple charts and lists). All of these elements now has a yellow triangle error that says 'Cannot Access Data'. I have not worked on this dashboard in a couple of months. The only change to the related table has been the amount of data that it contains. There are over 8400 records to date, and I'm expecting to double that number in the coming months. Could the number of records be causing my error? What else should I check? Thank you, Dan

Hi Ajeng, I also had ESRI Support looking into this error with no resolution. We got as far as discovering that the forminfo.json file was the issue (although it had no noticeable variation from a working version), but did not get a clean solution. In addition to the solution that Joe shared above for creating a new form from the existing xls, I also discovered that if you create a new survey from the existing survey's feature service that I could then view the data that was already collected from the Survey123 website. This solution would allow you to have a working Survey123 form that uses the existing feature service for data submission and reporting. Dan

Hi John, Thank you for the workaround. I reformatted my survey to have a 'pages' style, put all of the species questions onto one page, and then grouped the 40 species questions into groups of 10. This way there was only 4 relevant statements. This seemed to work. It is still not ideal, but will allow us to continue to use Survey123 until the bug is fixed. Thanks again, Dan

If you have time, I would welcome an opportunity to share my xls with you and/or the app studio log files that I have collected that capture the occurrence of the data loss. Dan

I have 2 surveys that include multiple (up to 40) select one questions within a repeated group. Both of these surveys are used to count species occurrence. A user selects a species from a list (select one) and then enters the number of observances for that species. When 5 or more species are selected and the user taps the '+' sign in order to repeat the group of species questions at a new location Survey123 crashes. This takes place with versions 2.4 - 2.7 of Survey123 for iOS and desktop. When a user first goes back to a previous repeated record and then taps the "+" sign the app does not crash. This is not a feasible work around when your first repeated record contains more than 5 species. I believe this issue is addressed in BUG-000111086. Any suggestions for a fix? Thank you, Dan

The file is there now. The file is only present when autosave is actively in use. Once I opened a survey, added some data, and then closed survey123 - the autosave.json file was visible. Once I submitted that same survey to AGOL the autosave file was gone. Good to know. If my data collectors are experiencing data loss occasionally using the 'save as draft' function, would you recommend that we rely on autosave? As mentioned above, our surveys take multiple days, so we need to be able to save data, reopen a survey, and continue working. Our workflow would be to work for an hour, close survey123 (without saving), re-open survey123 and click on 'Continue Survey' when the 'Survey Recovered' screen appears. Then at the end of the day, they can submit to AGOL. Next day they would access that record using Inbox and begin collecting data. Thanks again, Dan

I recently uninstalled connect version 2.7 and reinstalled version 2.5. When I re-publish my surveys using 2.5 I still get this error and cannot access the data. When I delete the form's folder in AGOL (form and feature service) ,and delete the info, iteminfo and forminfo json files, and then publish the form again with 2.5, I can access my data. Any thoughts on why I might be experiencing this error? I have a couple of forms that I cannot delete and then republish, but I still need to be able to access the data and produce reports on. Any thoughts on how to fix this error on these forms? Thank you, Dan

We have also experienced data loss when a survey has been submitted to AGOL. This makes me skeptical that the autosave function is actually writing the data to a temp file at the frequency expected. I have been trying to figure out where the autosave function saves the data? It does not seem to write it to the sqllite file that is used when a survey is saved as a draft. I republished my survey using Survey123 connect version 2.5 and data is being collected using version 2.5. This has reduced the occurrence of data loss for all but one of my data collectors. Using App studio, I have captured the data loss in a log file 3 different times and submitted to ESRI for review, but have not yet heard anything definitive back.

Hi James, Thank you for your reply. I sent you an email with my xls. My issue is not the same as the issue in your referenced post. I can see the icons for my surveys in survey123.arcgis.com but when I click on the icon to access the data, I get this error message: This only happens for the surveys that I have published in the past 2 weeks, which roughly corresponds to my installing Connect version 2.7. Thanks again, Dan

No, I haven't modified the .info file. This is happening now to three of my surveys - all of which were published using the latest version of Connect (version 2.7). 2 of those surveys are multi-page and the other is a single page. Thank you for your reply

I am having the same issue with a survey that was recently published using the latest version of connect. I can submit data, view the data in the feature service, but cannot access data through survey123.com. I get the error message "This survey does not exist or is not accessible". I need to be able to analyze this data and export reports. Any suggestions? Thank you, Dan

My team is experiencing the same issue. We do not have any calculations in the form as mentioned above. In my testing it seems that this behavior is random. Sometime, this happens on my first attempt to save as a draft, sometimes on my 10th. The form was published using the latest version of Connect and is being completed on the latest version of Survey123 on a windows PC. My survey contains 5 pages. One survey record often requires at least a day to complete, so we are saving often. When the save as draft is successful, it takes us to the expected 'Draft' folder and I can see my recently saved draft. When the save is unsuccessful, it takes me to page on of my survey and all input since the last save is lost. Any additional thoughts? Thank you, Dan
