I have several questions that have default answers that don't change or are calculated from previous questions. Currently in 3.9 or below I can't hide these questions by making them irrelevant and still populate the answer. During the UC Q&A about Survey123, I was told that i would be able to populate an answer for a hidden or irrelevant question? I would like to know how to do this now that I have the newest version of connect 3.10.

Hello I am having a very similar problem to the one reported in this post. Hanging when trying to publish update to Survey123 form I created a log file and have attached it to this post. James Tedrick Any suggestions on what maybe going on I am all ears. I am trying to publish to a 10.5.1 portal. I made a simple form and was able to publish so I am wondering if the form is too complex for the old portal. How would I simplify the form. The form has groups and and use pages styling. I also use a repeat to capture pictures within each group of questions. Michael

Thanks James I will email. I need to make a test survey to show both issues that doesn't expose any proprietary information. The jist of the problem is that I loose data with any questions that is conditionally relevant. This causes two problems the first is similar to the above where data is lost after entering it on the form. The second is that if I set a default answer or calculate a default answer for a select one question (question with domain list) then I can't hide the question with a relevant condition. I was reading the survey 123 documentation and it explicitly states that select one questions have to be relevant to set an answer. I have created a workaround for what I was trying to do in both cases but I would like to do what I thought was logical and efficient. Michael

So I had a hunch that there were path issues with proenv etc because it would always go to my cloned environment even though in ArcGISPro I had switched back to the root. I deleted my cloned enviroment and then recloned the root environment. Now in ArcGISPro when I activate the cloned enviroment the python interpreter works just fine. I may just install as me from now on.

This is how the getting started notebooks (Click on link Using Oauth 2.0) showed me how to access portal content. Create a Python application on your portal 1. Sign In to Portal 2. Go to My Content 3. Click on Add Item and select application 4. Dialog appears and select Application 5. Name the application Python and give it a tag Python 6. Go to Settings under the application you just created and grab the client id After you create the portal python application, Use the following code in your notebook import arcgis from arcgis.gis import GIS gis = GIS("https://<portal address>/portal",client_id='###########') #client id is the id assigned to the python application

We have a model builder routine for locating surface water and saturation that we would like to convert fully or partially to ArcGIS API for Python to analyze imagery services. We are having difficulty finding examples of how to apply the iso-cluster image classifier using the API There do not appear to be any examples of using the raster analytics functions in the docs and online (see links below). https://developers.arcgis.com/python/api-reference/arcgis.raster.analytics.html https://developers.arcgis.com/python/api-reference/arcgis.raster.analytics.html#arcgis.raster.analytics.classify We are interested in getting some help or documentation that shows an example of using the ArcGIS API for python to perform unsupervised classification like Iso Clustering.

I have a mosaic dataset with 10 images with different Acquistion Dates. I want to populate a layout with a time-lapse series of images, so that I can show how an area changes over time. I have written the following code to Make a new image layer by querying the Mosaic Dataset's Footprint for a specific acquisition date. #initialize arcpy and create project / map objects import arcpy aprx=arcpy.mp.ArcGISProject("Current") cmap=aprx.activeMap() #get unique values from field def unique_values(table, field): #returns all the unique values in a field with arcpy.da.SearchCursor(table, [field]) as cursor: return sorted({row[0] for row in cursor}) vals=unique_values("S_Mosaic_Vendor_ComSat\\Footprint","Acquisition_Date") # Grab the unique acquisition dates #Create new raster layer from Definition Query def_query = "Acquisition_Date = timestamp '" + vals[5].strftime("%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S")+"'" #definition query string lyr_name="Image_"+vals[5].strftime("%b-%d-%Y") #layer name string arcpy.MakeFeatureLayer_management('S_Mosaic_Vendor_ComSat\\Footprint',lyr_name,def_query) The problem is I only get the first image date to show up regardless of what Date I query for. Am I missing something or is this part of ArcPy still buggy? I am running ArcPro 2.3.4. I am going to try upgrading to 2.4 next week.

I am filling out a form that is linked to an existing feature service with attachments. I have add several columns to the attachments table to store exif information. I am wondering if I can use the method described above to push the exif information to the attachments table? First of all is it possible and how would I do it? No worries if this functionality isn't possible. I have exifread and could populate the table after the fact.
