Hi Alison, I believe you should be using RegAsm not esriRegAsm. If you are expecting to run this step only on Desktop you can register it with this - C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\RegAsm.exe and for server (64 bit) register with this - C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\RegAsm.exe Thanks, Tope

Hi Alison, The auto run tool has been replaced by the run tool. When you run a step, we check if it is set to run multiple steps and just run the tools. We hoped that this will reduce confusions on when to use the "double play"/"autorun" tool or the run tool. I hope you find using the new behavior more intuitive! Thanks, Tope

Hi Alison, I am happy that you have decided to go with the JavaScript viewer. This capability is not exposed on the UI of the JS viewer, so you will have to customize the create job widget. Here is a sample that you can use to set that after creating the job - this.wmJobTask.createJob(args, user, function(data) { var jobIds = data; // array of jobIDs console.log("Jobs created successfully: ", jobIds); // Update the first job var prefix = "PrefixName"; var suffix = "SuffixName"; var newJobName = prefix + jobIds[0].name + suffix; var params = {jobId:jobIds[0].jobId, name:newJobName}; this.wmJobTask.updateJob(params, user, function(data) { console.log("Successfully updated job"); }, function(error) { console.log("Error updating job"); }); }, function(error) { console.log("Error creating jobs"); }); I hope this helps! Thanks, Tope

Hi, I will try to answer your questions as best as I can since I don’t know how your environment is setup. Follow this link to learn how to setup a workflow manager server service http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#//003800000031000000 Once you have a service up and running, you will update the configuration of the web application you want to deploy. The latest web application can be downloaded here - https://github.com/esri/workflowmanager-viewer-js There are also instructions on how to deploy this at this location. After reviewing these steps, let me know if you still have concerns. Thanks, Tope

Hi Ulises, The number of named users you will have for AG Pro is equivalent to the number of concurrent ArcGIS desktop users that you have on your account. In your example, that means you will need to identify 20 users/logins in your organization that will be authorized to use the software. AG pro Workflow Manager will work with the WMX application. Think of it as another client to use Workflow Manager in. You will use a single repository for the standalone WMX desktop at 10.3 with your ArcGIS Pro jobs as well. All the configuration of your workflows still happen in the Workflow Manager Administrator and is available for use in ArcGIS Pro and WMX Desktop Application. If you have the server extension of Workflow Manager, the same jobs will be available via the web. For licensing, if you already have Workflow Manager licenses and are current on maintenance, then you are still entitled to using the extension in Pro. ArcGIS Pro is fundamentally a new application in the ArcGIS family and is compatible with ArcGIS server. I hope I was able to help clarify your questions? Thanks. Tope

Heather, That message is a generic windows OS error when a user is unable to access a file. I wonder if you have the workflow manager jobs folder set to a location that you/your users do not have access to. If you want to submit a support ticket, we can have one of the support analysts take a closer look at things. Thanks, Tope

Hi Heather, I suspect this is caused by a the maps or the task assistant workflow associated with the job. The workflow manager logs should tell you exactly what is wrong. I would recommend turning up the log level to 5 and review it to see what is happening. Here is link to help that shows how to enable the logging in workflow manager - http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.2/#/Workflow_Manager_Advanced_Settings/003800000032000000/ Thanks, Tope

Hi Heather, One of our colleagues developed some tools that can help with managing large volumes of jobs. There are tools for deleting jobs, creating jobs, and other job management capabilities. I believe you can run these scripts as scheduled tasks using windows schedule. Take a look at the tools here and see if it helps - http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=387ce7914cde4744b549b934959a0b5f Thanks, Tope

Hi Heather, The "version is currently in use" is a lock at the DBM/SDE level where something is created a lock on the database. The "operation is not allowed while editing" means that you have to explicitly stop an active session. If you have started an editing session, you will need to stop it where you are getting this error. Thanks, Tope

Heather, You are not able to pause the execution of a step in current version of Workflow Manager. Closing the application doesn't seem like an acceptable work around, unless the steps happen at different times in your workflow. You can try running the steps one at a time (disable auto execute) and then inspect the database locks after each step that you execute in the workflow. This could help narrow down the culprit. Is your reconcile and post step using the GP tools or did you create a custom step for this? If it is, you can get the developer that created it to debug to ensure there are no locks after completion. Thanks, Tope

Heather, Let me know how your tests go. I can also try out a few tests here too. What types of layers do you have in your map? When you get these locks, can you take a look at the task manager to confirm that there are no applications (ArcMap/ArcCatalog) keeping the lock active. Thanks, Tope

Heather, I am unable to reproduce this using a workflow that has the following steps - Create Version, Edit Data and Clean Up Version. In the past we have seen issues if you have complex layers in the map causing the lock to the version maintained beyond need. Can you log a tech support incident on this? I think we will need to troubleshoot this to figure out the source of the problem. Thanks, Tope
