Hey all, Is there an alternative to the ST_PointOnSurface operation that returns a point inside of a polygon? We have this operation in a query and it is running really slow for us (as in 48 hours slow - and never finishes). This is running in an Oracle enterprise geodatabase. ST_Centroid won't work for our particular purpose, as it sometimes gets a point outside of the polygon. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Hey all, I have recently changed my password for a database connection. I am working in an ArcGIS Pro (3.0.3) project that uses this database connection and it asks for my credentials to the db every time I open the project. I will enter my credentials and ensure the "save username/password" option is selected. It still asks me for my password every time I open the project. Has anyone encountered this before and know how to resolve this? Thanks!

Hey all, I am attempting to create a script that rebuilds indexes and updates statistics on tables on a regular schedule. I am using an Oracle enterprise geodatabase. I am using this post from Esri to try and recreate my script (see the Rebuild indexes and update statistics section): Using Python scripting to batch reconcile and post traditional versions When I try and run my code (below), I get this error which is noting the dataList variable as the problem: TypeError: unsupported operand type(s) for +: 'NoneType' and 'NoneType' workspace = r"A:\File\Path\dataowner.sde"
userName = arcpy.Describe(workspace).connectionProperties.user
dataList = arcpy.ListTables(userName + '.*') + arcpy.ListFeatureClasses(userName + '.*') + arcpy.ListRasters(userName + '.*')
for dataset in arcpy.ListDatasets(userName + '.*'):
dataList += arcpy.ListFeatureClasses(feature_dataset=dataset)
arcpy.RebuildIndexes_management(workspace, "NO_SYSTEM", dataList, "ALL")
arcpy.AnalyzeDatasets_management(workspace, "NO_SYSTEM", dataList, "ANALYZE_BASE", "ANALYZE_DELTA", "ANALYZE_ARCHIVE") Thanks - Josh

Hello, I am looking to update data of a feature class that belongs to a topology. I am using a basic Truncate and Append Python script to do this. I have tried TruncateTable, DeleteRows, and DeleteFeatures to delete features but I get the error: ERROR 001395: Operation not supported on a feature class in a controller dataset. Is there a way to do this? Thanks, Josh

Hello, I am using ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8 and have a Composite Address Locator that needs to be updated periodically. This composite locator has 3 address locators associated with it. Since composite address locators cannot be rebuilt, is it ok to just rebuild the address locators that the composite locator uses and then republish the composite locator? I guess my main question is: Does the composite locator need to be re-created or will it work appropriately when the associated address locators are rebuilt? Thanks, Josh

@Amir-Sarrafzadeh-Arasi @BlakeTerhune Thanks for the suggestions! I was able to resolve my issues by using code similar to @BlakeTerhune example. import smtplib
from email.message import EmailMessage
fromaddr = 'from@email.com'
toaddrs = 'to@email.com'
subject = 'SUBJECT'
mailtext = 'EMAIL BODY TEXT'
msg=EmailMessage()
msg['Subject'] = subject
msg['From'] = fromaddr
msg['To'] = toaddrs
msg.set_content(mailtext)
server = smtplib.SMTP('111.111.111.111')
server.send_message(msg)
server.quit()

Hello all, I am trying to send an email after a script completes. The email successfully sends but the To, From, and Subject of the email are all blank. Additionally, the "To" email that gets put into the body of the email has commas after every letter. Code I am using is below. Any ideas? fromaddr: 'from@from.com' #example only
toaddrs: 'test@email.com' #example only
subject = 'SUBJECT TEXT'
mailtext = 'EMAIL BODY TEXT'
msg = """\
From: %s
To: %s
Subject: %s
%s
""" % (fromaddr, ", ".join(toaddrs), subject, mailtext)
server = smtplib.SMTP('111.111.111.111') #sample IP
if "Connection information provided was for a non-administrative user" in msg:
server.sendmail(fromaddr, toaddrs , msg)
else:
server.sendmail(fromaddr, toaddrs, msg)
server.quit()

Hello, I have a web application created using Experience Builder. All of a sudden, a user is experiencing a "Creating Map Failed" message when try to access the web application. The user has been using this application for the past couple months with no issue. We have tried clearing the browsing data/cache with no luck. A screenshot of the browser error can be found below. I (the creator of the experience builder) can access this web application with no issues and it doesn't seem to affect any other users. Thanks, Josh

I think I figured it out. I used AGOL Assistant to look at the JSON for the web maps that is consuming the services. The JSON shows the layers as using the URL from Service B rather than Service A. Does anyone know if and how it will impact my web map if I change the URL in the JSON?
