Hello, I may be missing an important detail about how Python works, and I wanted to see if anyone could help clarify. Short story short I needed to obtain a string list of domain values for a certain domain of a featureclass I was using, so I put the following code into python window after looking up the necessary classes/functions I needed to obtain said information. [x for x in arcpy.da.ListDomains(r'Path_To_Geodatabase') if x.name == u'dPubFunctionalClass'][0].codedValues() This gave me the following error: Runtime error Traceback (most recent call last): File "<string>", line 1, in <module> TypeError: 'dict' object is not callable Removing the parenthesis after .codedValues does the trick. My guess is that .codedValues is not a method of the class Domain, but rather just a variable (a dictionary object) stored within that class. Is this why I get an error message when I attempt to type the .codedValues() instead of just .codedValues? Thank you!

Hi, I'm having difficulty setting the IDE used opened by ArcGIS pro when I right-click a script and select Edit. I have tried to enter the filepath to pyscripter.exe in under geoprocessing options, but even so only the standard text editor opens. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thank you!

Hi, I am looking to upgrade to ArcGIS 10.6 and was wondering if ArcHydro will work with ArcGIS 10.6? In the downloads section, I only see downloads leading up to ArcGIS 10.5.x. Thank you!

Collector (as it often happens in my experience) failed to sync offline edits back to the hosted feature service. I retrieved these offline edits to a new geodatabase (offlinesync.gdb). I have also retrieved the current version of the hosted feature service (featureservice.gdb) to add a new field and change symbology in ArcMap, so currently there are no further edits being made in the field and featureservice.gdb will replace the current hosted feature service once it is ready. I would like to sync the edits in offlinesync.gdb to featureservice.gdb, is there any way to do this? Problems: There were two editors out in the field, and they edited the same records at different times for different (and sometimes the same) fields and added attachments (photos) to related attachment tables. I would like to keep all attachments and all edited fields from either editor with the newest edit taking priority. is there any way to do this automatically, or am I going to have to get dirty? Thank you!

I used the "Burn Stream Slope" function in ArcHydro and the results are.. strange. When I use the identify on the previous DEM and the resulting DEM at the top of a hill (not at a stream) the entire DEM has shifted elevation by over 44 feet! Is this normal, or did something go very wrong? Note: I used the default values for Assign Stream Slopes (High number for starting elevation = 1000 and Elevation drop value = 10) as I would get error messages for out of range values if I changed these. Thank you for your help clarifying this!

This is very frustrating.. because there is apparently no reason for it. I finished uploading a hosted feature service that contains 7 different featureclasses, additional attachment tables and some relationship classes. I have enabled editing in the hosted feature service settings and all layers in the web map I created to contain them: This allows me to add new features in the web map, however, when I attempt to do the same in Collector, I can only add features for HEP_Lines and Locations.. **UPDATE** I have discovered that I cannot create new features in collector for features with relationship classes (excluding the relationship classes esri uses for relating features to attachment tables). This only affects creating features in the Collector app, NOT in web maps. It seems quite inconvenient, and I wonder if there is a workaround other than removing all relationship classes from the geodatabase except those for attachment tables.. Any suggestions are welcome and greatly appreciated!

Hi Randy, thank you for the suggestion. I checked and have the Advanced license, so this should not be an issue? I can find all of the attachments in a separate folder, but they just won't show up in ArcGIS or AGOL when I copy the features to the hosted feature service..

Hi, I hope the title is explanatory. Some edits were stuck on an a mobile device after disconnected editing in the Collector app. I followed the instructions here to obtain the offline edits from the device and turn them into a file geodatabase. I see a featureclass containing the 16 edits and a separate table that contains information for attachments, but they are not related with a relationship class like a normal attachment table would be, and when I try to view the attachements of a feature in ArcGIS or ArcGIS Pro, they are not visible. I need to update the hosted feature service with the 16 edits AND the attachments, how do I do this? Help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hi all, I'm running into an odd issue with downloading a hosted feature layer from AGOL to a file geodatabase. I export the hosted feature layer to FGDB, and then download the resulting FGDB. However, when I complete the download, and try to unzip the FGDB, the file is currupted. This has happened three times in a row and the entire process takes around 45 minutes each time. So.. has anyone encountered an issue where the hosted feature layer they are trying to download as an FGDB is currupted, and were you able to resolve this issue? Any pointers/suggestions for troubleshooting would also be welcome. Right now I am attempting to export the hosted feature layer in ArcPro to a File Geodatabase as a featureclass, but it is my second attempt after the first attempt resulted in error (could not acquire data lock when trying to display in ArcMap). If this second attempt fails, I will try to export as a shapefile. Thank you!

Hi, I'm struggling to get a line to draw in my map document using a custom toolbox created with the Python add-in wizard for ArcGIS. The purpose of the toolbar is to select a DEM from a combobox of current rasters held within the opened map document, and then draw a line using the line button which is then converted into a 3D line and the profile of that line is copied to the windows clipboard for use in another program. The copying to clipboard part works fine, but when I try to have the currently drawn line display as a layer in the map document I get the following error message: Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Users\zieglerhm\AppData\Local\ESRI\Desktop10.5\AssemblyCache\{9B995FC4-0120-42F1-B20B-EBA53140BC41}\CopyProfileToClipboard_v4_addin.py", line 64, in onLine pline_lyr_mem = arcpy.management.MakeFeatureLayer(dddline, "ProfileLine") File "c:\program files (x86)\arcgis\desktop10.5\arcpy\arcpy\management.py", line 6965, in MakeFeatureLayer raise e arcgisscripting.ExecuteError: ERROR 000622: Failed to execute (Make Feature Layer). Parameters are not valid. ERROR 000628: Cannot set input into parameter out_layer. This is the entire code with the exception of the function definition for copy(), which is used on the last line in the code to copy the profile to the windows clipboard. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong here? I'm stomped.. been trying to crack this for hours. Thank you for any help!

Paul Lohr, Hi Paul, I never did find a solution to this problem, good to know QGIS can handle it. I ended up drawing the bounding box manually since it wasn't a very large area, but having it done automatically would still be nice.

Okay, I've found the problem, and it's not a bug or anything complicated, just an oversight. Earlier in the script, in order to minimize processing time I set a custom extent around each input point to work with only a small piece of the larger input raster. I forgot to reset the extent to arcpy.env.extent = "MAXOF" at the end of this processing, and so it was stuck on the extent of the last item processed. GetCount and InterpolateShape both honor the processing extent, while the InsertCursor (or rather the list of geometry objects I feed it) does not. Problem solved. *EDIT 10/24/2017* ^ I was in a rush when I posted this, thank you all for the suggestions and help on cracking this!
