Paul, I got it to run through – I think I see what the problem was. I used the ArcGIS Enterprise Cloud Builder v10.7.1 for Microsoft Azure to provision a new ArcGIS Enterprise environment. When I was setting up the servers I choose to use a self-signed certificate - which works well for the most part but when you connect to it from ArcGIS Pro you always have to answer that question “Do you trust this cert.” That’s perfectly fine for this development environment. Yesterday when I was trying to add the step in the script file to SignInToPortal, I could not get it to connect – it would error out every time I ran it. I tried a number of different URL combinations and it would never connect successfully. So, I went ahead and just installed that self-signed certificate into Trusted Root on the desktop machine I was using (so the machine would trust that cert by default) and everything ran perfectly. I was able to complete the steps for the script that Applies the Asset Package to my enterprise geodatabase. I think I’m going to just start over again with a fresh enterprise geodatabase, stage the utility network and apply the asset package using the geoprocessing tools in ArcGIS Pro to see if that resolves the problem from there – I have a feeling it will. If not I’ll just finish it off with the script again. Thanks for the help. Mike Hamsa Chief Technology Officer - GeoSpatial Innovations, Inc. P: 512-982-6735

Paul, I’m not sure, but it looks like we’re getting the same error after I comment everything out up to ImportAssociations. “Must be connected and signed into the portal” (arcgispro-py3-clone) C:\Users\EsriVmAdmin\AppData\Local\ESRI\conda\envs\arcgispro-py3-clone>propy.bat C:\Users\EsriVmAdmin\Documents\ArcGIS\Packages\ElectricUtilityNetwork_1f52e2\p20\AP_workspace\main.py ImportAssociations 1/18 Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Users\EsriVmAdmin\Documents\ArcGIS\Packages\ElectricUtilityNetwork_1f52e2\p20\AP_workspace\main.py", line 21, in return lambda args: val(gp_fixargs(args, True)) arcgisscripting.ExecuteError: ERROR 002119: Must be connected and signed into the portal. Paul, So what happening on my machine is that I go to the AP_Workspace folder, modify the main.py and comment out the steps that have already completed, then run the Apply Asset Package geoprocessing tool again. When I do that it creates a new AP_Workspace# (1, 2, 3, 4, etc, based on the number of time I run it) and it copies the original main.py script file in that new AP_Workspace folder with all the steps back in it. I get the feeling I’m doing something wrong. Do I need manually run that main.py script with the python console after I modify it? Mike Hamsa Chief Technology Officer - GeoSpatial Innovations, Inc. Paul, Thank you VERY much for the information – any idea when that release is going to be available, or if there are any workarounds we can use now in 2.4 to get past problem? We are kind of stuck right now and we’d like to get this environment setup so we can continue with our development. Thanks again, Mike Hamsa Chief Technology Officer - GeoSpatial Innovations, Inc. Melissa, Thank you very much for the response. I just double checked and there are no maps opened in the ArcGIS Pro project we are using to run this Geoprocessing tool. It is basically just an empty project with 2 database connections – one connection to the asset package GDB and one connection to the enterprise geodatabase we are applying the asset package to. Hello, I'm in the process of setting up a new Electric Utility Network environment using the Electric Utility Network Foundations asset package and I'm running into an error when I'm applying the asset package to our enterprise geodatabase using the "Apply Asset Package" Geoprocessing tool. The error is "Must be connected and signed into the portal". I'm fairly certain I'm connected and signed into our portal and I've tried to do this a couple of times now and I've run into the problem both times now. Any ideas would be very helpful. Thanks, Mike...

Hello, I know this has been posted on GeoNet in the past but I wanted to revisit this issue again to see if there were any updates from Esri on the topic. Right now we are facing some fairly serious issues printing from the Runtime (using client-side API's in WPF, like ExportImageAsync) as the output is very low quality and does not meet our customer's needs, especially for larger print/plot outputs. Higher quality printing was available in some form in 10.x and I was hoping to get some updates from Esri on when that would be available in the 100.x version of the Runtime. With Esri's focus on cartographic excellence, I'm somewhat surprised by the results we're seeing. This is causing us some major problems rolling out software to our customers. Thanks, Mike Hamsa

Hello, We've upgraded to version 100.7 and now were seeing some problems with code that was working in version 100.6 The code is using FeatureTable.QueryFeaturesAsync to get all the features within an envelope. var selectionEnvelope = new Envelope(X1, Y1, X2, Y2, MapSpatialReference); var queryParams = new QueryParameters(); queryParams.Geometry = selectionEnvelope; Task<FeatureQueryResult> tResult = Task.Run(async () => { FeatureQueryResult q = await ftrTable.QueryFeaturesAsync(queryParams); return q; }); FeatureQueryResult queryResult = tResult.Result; When that last line of code is executed, we're getting an exception: "Not implemented: operation does not support curves yet" at Esri.ArcGISRuntime.ArcGISException.HandleCoreError(CoreError error, Boolean throwException) at RuntimeCoreNet.GeneratedWrappers.Interop.CheckError(IntPtr errorHandle, Boolean throwOnFailure, GCHandle wrapperHandle) at RuntimeCoreNet.GeneratedWrappers.CoreTask.Get() at Esri.ArcGISRuntime.Internal.CoreTaskExtensions.TaskCompletedCallbackHandler`1.OnCompleted(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter.ThrowForNonSuccess(Task task) at System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter.HandleNonSuccessAndDebuggerNotification(Task task) at Esri.ArcGISRuntime.Internal.CoreTaskExtensions.TaskCompletedCallbackHandler`1.<CreateInternal>d__7.MoveNext() at System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter.ThrowForNonSuccess(Task task) at System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter.HandleNonSuccessAndDebuggerNotification(Task task) at Esri.ArcGISRuntime.Data.FeatureTable.<QueryFeaturesInternal>d__71.MoveNext() at System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter.ThrowForNonSuccess(Task task) at System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter.HandleNonSuccessAndDebuggerNotification(Task task) at System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter`1.GetResult()

Morten, Just looking through your last response again, and I wanted to add that the mmpk seems to be OK - we can open it using MobileMapPackage.OpenAsync in other places. There just seems to be something interesting occurring when we attempt to open an mmpk through a class library. Again, you can really just plug in the name of any mmpk you have and I'd expect that you would see the same problem as you step over the call to MobileMapPackage.OpenAsync. If it works for you then I can dig in a little farther on my side. Just wanted to add those details. Thanks again, Mike Hamsa

Morten, Thanks for the response. You can basically use any mmpk; just change the path and file name in that code. I really just kind of quickly put that app together so we could use it to reproduce this problem. I’ve got most of the debugging options enabled right now, and I’ve set Visual Studio to stop at just about any kind of first chance exception that’s thrown (including javascript exceptions). I’ve not sure there are many other debugger options I can use on my end. Mike Hamsa Chief Technology Officer - GeoSpatial Innovations, Inc. P: 512-982-6735

Morten, That’s kind of the issue – it really doesn’t throw an exception. I’ve got the call to MobileMapPackage.OpenAsync wrapped in a try/catch but when you step over that line with the debugger, execution jumps completely out of the method. It’s a very strange issue; that’s why I wanted to try to put that little app together so you can try it for yourself. As for your other question, yes it does work in a more conventional setting. I have a WFP app that makes the same the call to MobileMapPackage.OpenAsync and it is successful. In that WPF app I’ve even referenced the same class library and when I make the call to MobileMapPackage.OpenAsync in the WFP app it works, then on the next line I call into the OpenMap function in that class library, which call also MobileMapPackage.OpenAsync, and it fails the same way. I really think it you ran the app I attached and stepped though the code you’d get a better idea about what’s going on. Mike Hamsa Chief Technology Officer - GeoSpatial Innovations, Inc. Morten, Here's the debug output - you can see that RuntimeCoreNet.dll and runtimecore.dll are both getting loaded, however execution still stops unexpectable when the call to MobileMapPackage.OpenAsync is made from the class library - as if something is going on the ArcGIS Runtime that isn't expected. I hope you will take another look at it and see if you can figure out what's going on.

Morten, Also, it looks like migrating away from Packages.config, as you suggested, did not resolve the problem.
