Hello, This going to be a very basic question - sorry about that. Currently I'm working with the Utility network demo dataset (Naperville) and I'm wondering how I can add some new ElectricLine (Medium Voltage Conductor) that will be connected to a subnetwork? I've tried a number of things, but I cannot figure it out. At this point I added a couple of new ElectricLines starting from an existing ElectricLine that is already in a subnetwork. The network validates successfully after the edits, but no connectivity. The Subnetwork Name on the new ElectricLines are "Unknown" - which I'm sure is part of the problem, but I cannot figure out how to set that either. If I start a trace from the existing ElectricLine it traces, if I start a trace from the end of this new ElectriLine, it does not trace. Are there are easy to follow beginner tutorials I can use to perform this simple task? Here's a screenshot - the highlighted ElectricLine is new. Thanks, Mike...

Totally my fault - I think we're good on this one now. I told you it was the silly question of the day... Thanks, Mike...

Hello, Ok, silly question of the day: We've got an ArcGIS Pro Add-in we're working with and I've managed to do something to that window and I can no longer find it when I active that Add-in. The Add-in activates, but the window is no where to be seen. I tried to "Reset Panes" in ArcGIS Pro and even deleted the add-in and installed if again, but no luck. Is there a way to "find" that Add-in Window, or to reset it's position? Thanks, Mike...

Thank you for the response – I guess the description is a little misleading. Here’s what the group permissions say: What items in the group can its members update? Members can update all items, including changing the item's description and content. This ability was defined when the group was created and can't be modified. Group membership is limited to the organization. So at this point only the owner of an item can update the content? Mike Hamsa Chief Technology Officer - GeoSpatial Innovations, Inc. P: 512-982-6735

Hello, I've got a file geodatabase and a hosted feature layer published to our portal and we are trying to update the file geodatabase with a python script - something similar to this. gis = GIS(portal, user, password) sdItem = gis.content.search(query="title:" + item_name, item_type="File Geodatabase")[0] print("Found SD: {}, ID: {} \n Uploading and overwriting...".format(sdItem.title, sdItem.id)) sd = "path-to-zip-file" sdItem.update(data=sd) fs = sdItem.publish(overwrite=True) print("Complete!") The items being updated by the script are not owned by the account (user/password) used to connect in this script. We've got a group setup in the portal, and group members are allowed to update all items. The account being used to connect in the script is a member of this group. The items we are attempting to update are in the group as well. sditem.Update works. sdItem.publish fails with this error: You do not have permissions to access this resource or perform this operation. Any ideas on how we can fix this? mike...

I really appreciate all the assistance on this - maybe not what we were hoping for, but it certainly does help. Hopefully we can find a solution to make this work. I'm going look into publishing a service directly from our data source (SQL Server) to see if that may solve our problems. Thanks again, Mike...

Thank you very much - is there anyone we can confirm this with? Maybe on the ArcGIS Server team? We've already spent quite a bit of time making sure our Web Feature Services support queries and filtering (thinking that would allow it to be used in the Dashboard), so before we spend anymore time, I'd like to confirm that this would work. Also, what about the custom widget path - if we developed a custom widget for the Dashboard, would that be an option to display certain types of data outside of Esri on an Operations Dashboard? Thanks again for the help, Mike...

As an example, could we develop an ArcGIS Server Object Extension (SOE) that consumes the data from the another system and exposes it in a way that the Operations Dashboard would be able to use? Thanks, Mike...

Thank you very much for the response, I did find that reference in the documentation. I'm wondering, do we have any options to use data from the WFS to populate other data elements on a Dashboard? Is it possible to expose that data through a native feature or map service? We would like to consolidate the data from different systems for specific processes - like storm damage assessment - in a single Operations Dashboard. Using data published through a WFS from another system is a fairly straightforward way to do that. Thanks again, Mike...

Hello, We are trying to utilize layers from an OGC compliant Web Feature Service on a dashboard and we are running into some problems. The map obviously shows up fine but when we try to add another element, like in Indicator that sums up features from one of the WFS layers, we are getting a message that says "the map doesn't have any layers that can be used." The WFS we are using supports query and filter capabilities (Basic Level Compatibility), what capabilities is it missing that is prevent it from being used with elements like an Indicator? Thanks, Mike...

Hello, When sharing data for runtime (MMPK), I'm wondering if there's an option to strip out an unused attributes when the mobile map package is being created. In ArcMap, there is an option to only export "attributes used for rendering data" (something like that) when you create the runtime content and I'm wondering if there's a similar option in ArcGIS Pro. Thanks, Mike Hamsa

Hello, I think I've read that it's possible to hide (and show) fields on different Asset Groups in the utility network but I can't really verify that so I thought I'd ask. I know you CAN'T do this with Subtypes, but I'm seeing some confusing messaging with this capability on Asset Groups. So, is it possible to do this and if so how do you do it? Thanks, Mike...

Hello, On the final step of setting up the Utility Network and we've run into a problem. I'm trying to deploy the "Electric Network Viewer v3.2" solution (Deploy and ArcGIS Solution) and when I hit the "Deploy" button, it runs for a bit then stops with a red X. When I hover of the red X is says: "Feature service <service name> layers and tables must match the source Feature Service Electric Utility Network v3.2 - Master Service" We ran through the setup guide and deployed the Electric Utility Network Foundation v3.2 asset package and then published our feature service from there so I'm not sure how things could be off. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike...
