Is the beginning of the 2nd paragraph supposed to say "During the first quarter"? Are those statistics from the Q1 2021 or Q3 2021? Thank you. 🙂

When working with Experience Builder's tablet and mobile layouts, it would be very helpful to be able to design the layout to work in a "landscape" orientation, as opposed to a "portrait" orientation. It would be even better if we could choose, or swap between those options.

You could try writing a custom widget that specifically loads in the webmaps for each page on start up. You'd need to use the widget communicator to interact with it. A note of caution though, if any of the widgets you're working with are pointed at different maps and have methods that do things when the active view changes, you'll need to make sure the proper view is the active one after everything loads.

Hello, (cross posting from the Experience Builder community, in case another dev might have some ideas) We are writing an application in Experience Builder and trying to use the select component to allow the user to determine which county they are looking at. The list of eligible counties is returned from a service query. The code in question is below: let countySelectOptions = [];
results.features.forEach(feature => {
countySelectOptions.push({
label: feature.attributes.Cty,
value: feature.attributes.Cty
});
});
let countySelect = <Select
id="countyInput"
className="querySearchInput"
placeholder="Please select county to search"
>
{countySelectOptions.map((countySelectOption) => { return <Option value={countySelectOption.value}>{countySelectOption.label}</Option> })}
</Select>;
ReactDOM.render(countySelect, this.countySelectPlaceholder); This works for HTML <select> and <option> tags, but breaks when using the Jimu-ui Select and Option. We'd like to go with the jimu-ui components, since they look a bit more polished and are consistent with our app overall. Any advice?

Hi, Amy - There are a lot of online resources for learning how GIS works (like Esri training). Additionally, each community has a Q&A board, where you can ask specific questions to get help. (For example, here's the Q&A board for Learn ArcGIS) You will probably have better success there than asking for help in a reply to a post.

There's a free tool in the marketplace called Admin Tools that might help you out. It offers a lot of different functionality, but one of the things it does is allow you to view all of an items dependencies. You can select an item (like a webmap) and see all the items it uses (like layers) and all the items that use it (like webmaps).

You could set up a "friendly name" webpage that just redirects to the longer url. i.e. You could set up https://www.stmaryburialmap.com to redirect to https://stmarymagdalenec.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=f55896901f1340cd816fcc7dfec... on page load. (This is what sites like fb.com do when they redirect to Facebook).

Is the webmap shared in such a way you could link it here? We haven't encountered this issue in any of our EXB dev projects, but I'm not 100% on if any of the projects had labels on the map to begin with.

It seems like the table has built-in functionality for listening to changes in the selected items. https://developers.arcgis.com/experience-builder/guide/action-triggers/# Is there a way to set up functionality in a custom widget to trigger that change?

Does anyone have an example of developing a custom widget that interacts with an out-of-the-box widget? I've been looking at Data actions, widget communication, etc, but an example would be really helpful. For more context, I have a custom widget that allows the user to select a few different layers, then search those layers for features that intersect with a geometry on the map. In the same experience, I have a table widget with those layers as data sources. When the user performs the search, I would like to set the table to look at the searched layer, and filter the results based on what the search results returned. I feel like my custom widget needs to emit some sort of data action and the table needs to listen for it, but I'm not sure exactly how to do that. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
