Hmmm... Getting the same error message: Child process [11048 - E:\ArcGIS Monitor\Server\node.exe --harmony "E:\ArcGIS Monitor\Server\node_modules\node-windows\lib\wrapper.js" --file "E:\ArcGIS Monitor\Server\app.js" --log "ArcGIS Monitor Server wrapper" --grow 0.25 --wait 1 --maxrestarts 3 --abortonerror n] finished with 1 And the Mongo data and log folders are at E:\ArcGIS Monitor\Mongo\ I'm at a loss... It was working and then it just stopped working.

It's a bug that continues to persist and esri's workaround is basically to keep trying until it works... We've been getting 500, 502, 503, and 504 errors. I was told that the 500 and 504 errors are rolled into the 502 bug. Our process tries 3 times, and even then it still fails. Hopefully esri will realize that retrying multiple times is not a valid "workaround". I've also ran into these errors even through their ui when viewing data on a map and looking at the data table. After talking with some guys at the UC last year, it sounded like it might be a symptom of their back-end scaling up and caching an error response while it is. Kelly Gerrow "Re-submit the requests to resolve the intermittent errors. Scripts or tools can be set up with retry on failure logic." BUG-000124290 Making 'query' and 'applyEdits' requests to the ArcGIS Online hosted feature service intermittently return the 502 error. BUG-000123780 Making 'query' and 'applyEdits' requests to the ArcGIS Online hosted feature service intermittently returns 503 errors.

We've had this occur several times for public web app builder apps on ArcGIS Online. I think I narrowed it down to an esri bug that pops up when they are having load/scaling issues. It usually seems to last about 5-10 minutes when it does happen and then disappear after that. I suggest you submit a support ticket.

It doesn't make sense how esri sells increased/private database throughput when there's always going to be the REST API bottleneck, which is currently shared/scaled on AWS, but has issues scaling. Would be nice if they offered a "premium" offering that increased capacity from the front end all the way to the database.

Was going to post another idea, but think this is similar to mine. I was hoping that the "Last update: an hour ago" text in the info graphics would show the most recent time that the data was edited (if editor tracking is enabled) or to fall back to the current default of showing the time the page was last refreshed if editor tracking isn't enabled. This is critical to have for dashboards as data that gets updated very little, as if I open a dashboard and see "last update: a few seconds ago" I would expect the data to be up to date when it may not be. The other idea is to keep the existing and have a toggle for "Data Last Updated" and have that utilize the most recent edit from editor tracking.

Hi Hilary, Mainly looking to avoid accidents where someone with admin privileges could easily delete a collaboration. Maybe change the place where you can delete a collaboration? Put it on a page that's nested a bit deeper than right on the surface or having a pop-up to verify deletion.

Amanda Huber your method works good if your ArcGIS Online user also has an account in Portal. And agreed about distributed collaboration... The biggest thing to note in testing and working with esri support to confirm (as we had the same mindset that "workarounds" defeat the entire purpose of "distributed collaborations" and keeping things in sync): Distributed Collaborations are NOT meant to keep things in sync in real time. The fastest edits can be synced if you share as a copy is once an hour. As Amanda's workflow points out, items should only be sent as references and NEVER as copies.

Would be nice to be able to have delete protection for Collaborations that would remove the "Delete" option in the drop down.

The best way that I have found is to create a new item from the Portal hosted feature service in ArcGIS Online (with the portal credentials stored in it). Then you create a second Survey123 that writes to the proxy ArcGIS Online service. This way, all the data from both your Portal Survey123 and ArcGIS Online Survey123 gets written back to the single Portal hosted feature service and you don't have to worry about collaborations or syncing issues. Once you get the json config data files for webmaps/webapps exported/backed up, is there a way to reimport them? I was looking at the additem or addpart API calls. What is the best way to do that? Also, I know that I'll have to deal with updating the item IDs of web maps in the app configs (any ideas on best practices to do that)? Can't wait until the ArcGIS online team can support backup/restore of entire orgs

In regards to applications, I think I've figured out that I can just export these 2 jsons: https://ORG.maps.arcgis.com/sharing/rest/content/items/ITEMID and https://ORG.maps.arcgis.com/sharing/rest/content/items/ITEMID/data to get most of the configuration data for each item. The big question I have for you Kelly Gerrow, is there a way to reimport the jsons relatively easily? I suppose we'd have to re-attach map ids and maybe reconfigure the maps, but the configurations of the maps/apps/services should be relatively good.

James, I just tried to create a survey in AGOL and put it in a distributed collaboration group with Portal, but am getting the Invalid Token error that Amanda was getting.
