Just a minor follow-up on this; depending on the complexity of your feature (especially dense, un-simplified multipolygons), reducing the precision of the WKT could cause some vertices to become coincident, break topology, or otherwise create invalid geometries that will make your table un-selectable within the ArcGIS Pro GUI. I was dealing with some coastal polygons and this issue tripped me up and I ended up needing to move up to a precision 7 to negate the issue. Also, relevant XKCD: https://xkcd.com/2170/

Sorry for the delay with an update, I was able to get the datasets updated. What I did was delete the old dataset folders and their contents, then re-create the empty dataset folders. And finally use the arcpy.management.CopyFeatures function for each feature layer in each dataset. It does take a long to run this update, but it does work so i will live with it. Thanks for all the suggestions!

Thanks Dan. I believe even ListTransformations isn't available in the pre-3.0 version of the ArcPy library. It just seemed surprising to me that prior to 3.0, there was no option to read/write Map Transformation information, when that has been available on the DataFrame class in ArcMap for a long time. Regarding updateTransformations, does this actually set a transformation on the Map, or just limit the dropdown list somehow that you'd still need to pick from manually, do you know? Also, will Pro automatically use the first transformation available in the list if none is explicitly specified, or simply not use one at all if a transformation is required?

Hi! Just wondering if there are suggestions on what else to try when getting this error message. I have tried to run the fill tool with several different DEMs and get this error each time. I started having this issue after the most recent update.

Yep - it's just the Network Analyst extension as you've shown. I do most of my python work using IDLE or within Pro itself. I've never used Jupyter Notebooks or Visual Studio Code.

Select Data (ModelBuilder)—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation The Select Data tool selects data in a parent data element such as a folder, geodatabase, feature dataset, or coverage. The tool allows access to the data stored inside a parent container, such as feature classes or tables inside a geodatabase. With the final note When building models where the input to Select Data does not exist, the name of the child data element may need to be typed in. So if it can't find the parent, check the parameter for the input to the tool and confirm

Same issue with Python the Field Type seems to vanish as a selection. I switch to Arcade which has helped. For your distinct issue, I used Add Field so that I can be specific of the Field Name, Field Alias, and Type, before I ran the next Calculate Field.

Hi Dan, Yeah feature class works 🙂 I am also not sure what the "embedded" option is used for. It is automatically filled. I can't delete it. Thank you!

There is also the interrupt Kernel button in the ribbon. I think this is even more effective and cutting off the process.

This was the issue! I was passing in a complete sde path to the table into my SelectLayerByAttribute instead of just passing it the table name of the table I wanted to use, which was open in my ArcPro project!! Thank you very much.

Are you licensed for it? it is a separate purchase ,as well, and not part of the Advanced license for arcgis pro. General information about the Image Analyst extension—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation

I have had a similar issue with an ArcPy script that is part of an ongoing project. ArcPy script in a Notebook run in ArcGIS Pro. Mine is intended to automate cartographic production; it cycles through calc'ing some fields based on imports from an Excel file, then exporting a layout, wash rinse repeat. My issue was that not all the layers would draw/refresh in the automated map export. I confirm that the data has actually been updated, and if I refresh the layout manually in Pro, the symbols/labels update per calculated data. But during troubleshooting, often there was a single stubborn layer that would not show up in the automated layout export. For my first iteration of the script, I was never able to nail down exactly what the issue was, but I defeated it by including an extra map frame, hidden beneath the main map frame, and if that frame was active during the script run, things exported correctly (I know, bizarre 😅). Incorporating additional functionality into the script now and my old nemesis is back. This is a new thread since I last searched here, so following to see if anyone comes up with any insight on how to force the layout to refresh before exporting it. Initial iteration of script.

@ZachBodenner Not an entire parent and child dataset - just a subset of each (separately) as new data is entered. The "original" data is uploaded as a result of the entire sampling process, then I narrow it down and import data from another source for my experience page. The original data has pictures associated with it that I do want for the experience page, but the "preserve GlobalID" option not working has really made the process more difficult. It'd only have to work for the feature class, really. Then I could append the related table data from the "original" related table (without preserving the GlobalIDs from the "original" related table) and everything would/should work. The hosted layers not working for the workaround is just an extra pain. Doable, but exporting a new FGDB whenever I want to update the feature class and table for the experience page slows the process down as it's a big dataset with attachments. Oh well, sounds like I wasn't missing anything. Thanks for your help.
