Hi @JohnathanHasthorpe, thanks, when is 5.1 this due to be released? The blog post from April mentions that it will be out in Q2, so by the end of this month?

I've just updated AppStudio to v5 and the templates for QuickCapture and Survey123 are no longer available. Does anyone know why this might be? I posted about it in the appstudio forum but no replies so trying here https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-appstudio-questions/can-t-find-quickcapture-template-in-appstudio/m-p/1067744#M3949

Hi @XiaoxuLi, yes I'm very familiar with this method which is great for occasional use but not ideal for what I want to achieve. I want to automated creation of work orders in Workforce and automatically create a corresponding project in QuickCapture with the appropriate map. How could I do this through the REST API? That would work fine but I'm not sure how I can edit quickcapture projects this way?

Is it possible to create a quickcapture json manually and upload it to arcgis? I want to reuse the same project but with different basemaps. I'd like to be able to automate this so I don't have to go into quickcapture designer. The use case is that I only want field workers to see features on the basemap that are relevant to their current assignment so for every assignment I need to create a new quickcapture project with a different basemap.

I upgraded AppStudio to v5.0.148 and can no longer see templates for Quickcapture or Survey123. Below is a screenshot of what I see. I have an old version of quickcapture tempate (1.5) and am getting AppRun Errors Any ideas?

Johnathan Hasthorpe So I've been doing some testing with this. It only appears to be an issue when I create a feature class in Arcgis Pro and add the GNSS meta data fields using the "Add GPS Metadata Fields" Processing Tool. I've tested the following 3 methods which are all ok with GNSS fields being successfully populated. Create new Hosted Feature Layer in AGOL - Tick the "Capture GPS receiver information" Create New Hosted Feature Layer in AGOL - Add the GNSS metadata fields manually in the Data tab Create Feature Class in Arcgis Pro - Share to AGOL and manually add GNSS metadata fields As I say, the only time there is an issue is when I use the Geoprocessing Tool in Arcgis Pro to add the metadata fields. Bizarrely if I do this and then delete the fields in AGOL and add them back in manually (like I do in 2 or 3 above) the issue persists. So I think my workaround for now is to avoid the "Add GPS Metadata Fields" tool in Pro and just add the fields manually in AGOL.

Hi Robert I'm filtering the layer based on the logged in user (from my own authentication system) in a web app so can't filter the web map in advance like that unfortunately. Has to be done at runtime. I can build an app from scratch in JS but was hoping I could save a lot of work by modifying a web appbuilder app as this is only a short term app. I think my workaround will be to have all layers turned off, filter my data as above and then make the layer visible. It's just odd that it's happening with these one specific webmap. With other webmaps I've tested this with I don't see this behaviour, I only ever see the filtered features. Anyway, thanks for your help.

Robert, I'm having a little bit of an undesired effect with this. Depending on the webmap/layers I use in the webapp, the full layer will briefly be visible before the filter is applied. Is there any way to prevent this? I'd imagine applying a server-side filter by setting the Feature Layer "definition expression" as described in the Javascript API documentation here would be what I need but is it possible to do this in a Web AppBuilder App? Any ideas? Filter a feature layer | ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.16

Erwin Soekianto, can I ask what is the point of implementing a login/user registration system like in your example above if the maps/data behind it need to be publicly shared anyway? What good is having your own login system if the data is public and the login system can therefore be bypassed. Maybe I misunderstand something but this seems really counter intuitive and contradictory to me.

I have a polygon feature layer with a related points feature layer. When I filter the polygon layer I want to automatically filter the related points so that only the points related to the polygon of interest are visible. Is this possible to do in Web AppBuilder?

It would be nice to be able to adjust the % of the screen devoted to the map and the buttons when in landscape mode on a tablet. The current 50/50 split is a little unnecessary and it would be nice to be able to devote more of the screen space to the map e.g 25/75

One of my use cases is collecting the locations of sampling points. The sampling points are all related to one main sample ID which I assign with the Project User Input. So for example, for Sample 100, I update the user input field as "100", and then mark the sampling locations as I move across the site. I then move to another site to collect Sample 101, update the user input field to "101", mark the sampling locations and move to the next site and so on. I often forget to update the user input when I move to a new location so some of my points can get the wrong value in this field which means I need to manually correct it. It would be useful when collecting points in groups like this to have a Start/Finish button which prompts me to update the user input field. I could achieve this by making the user input field required and closing and reopening the project after each set of points are collected but this is not ideal.
