Hi @ryanEvanczyk , Sounds like there's a fair few factors in play here. First of all; have you enabled 'Standard' Map settings on the mobile app? Survey123 mobile app > Profile > Settings > Map > Map types = 'Standard' If we've added the web map to the survey's linked content via ArcGIS Survey123 Connect, then this should enable us to see the pre-configured offline areas in the basemap switcher... Was the feature layer added after the offline areas were created? We may need to update the offline areas from the web portal side. What else can you tell me about the web map in question? Esri Basemap or your own published tile layers? What editing settings are enabled on the feature layer? Are there other feature layers present that work? If you open the web map in the ArcGIS Field Maps web application and go to the 'Offline' tab, are there any errors next to your feature layer?

Hi @erica_poisson , I've read the bug you mentioned and as this is defective behaviour attributed to JSON edits without any currently known workaround, I'm sorry there's not much I can help with regarding the pop-ups. As for your case, I work for the Australian branch of Esri and don't have access to casework from other countries unfortunately. It's certainly curious behaviour that you're describing. Some troubleshooting suggestions: Go through all the fields in the troublesome view layers and check for the "properties: overridden" message mentioned in 'Scenario 2' above Reverse the remove/hide related table changes that you made. Double-check that the AOIs have been deleted Publish a new test copy of your parent hosted feature layer and go through all the same steps to create your view layers to try and track where the disconnect occurred. Think about what has been done to those 3 view layers at any point in your workflow and strip back those changes (where possible) to see what might've broken the inheritance... Being that there are a lot of moving parts to your workflow (i.e. updated hosted feature layer, six views, related tables, JSON edits) it would be quite difficult to diagnose over discussion board comments. I'd reach out to technical support again and outline everything that has been carried out with this content and/or allow them access to your organisation to take a look at the items' Settings. You can email me as well if you like.

Hi @erica_poisson , 1. Are you saying that these view layers do have the new field in their attribute table but you are only unable to see it in the 'Define Fields' list? 2. Do you mean you're now unable to use the "configure popup" option as described here: https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000022958 ? The following document describes what supported schema changes we can make to the JSON of an item via the REST endpoint: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/How-to-Update-Hosted-Feature-Service-Schemas1.pdf?rmedium=bulk-arcgis-files&rsource=http://blogs.esri.com/esri/arcgis/files/2014/10/How-to-Update-Hosted-Feature-Service-Schemas1.pdf Unfortunately, this does not include re-ordering the fields of an item and understandably for a view layer, this would likely break the relationship with the parent hosted feature layer... Following up from removing/hiding the related table, did you open a new case with Esri Technical Support for this issue?

The ability to generate and export troubleshooting logs from our map-centric ArcGIS mobile applications was introduced with ArcGIS Collector (for iOS), and continues with ArcGIS Field Maps on both iOS and Android platforms. Exporting this log file might be helpful when looking to narrow down what is interrupting particular workflows, or if troubleshooting an issue with Esri technical support and the support consultant has requested the log file for diagnostic purposes. We can carry out the following steps to export this file: Log into the ArcGIS Field Maps mobile app and go to your profile menu Go to 'Troubleshooting' Enable 'Logging' Next, repeat the workflow that is causing the unexpected behaviour in your map. Then: 4. Go back to the 'Troubleshooting' settings page and click 'View Logs' 5. Use the button in the top-right hand corner to export the log file

Has this been resolved for your use-case Garrett? I think you would need to make the web maps (and any content therein) shared with everyone if the survey is going to be consumed by the public, who will use the basemap switcher to access this linked content.

Hi @DanteLee , sorry for not getting back to you sooner. So there seemed to be some sort of permissions issue on a view layer preventing your from seeing a linked content web map in your basemaps for the geopoint question?? Are the users of your survey able to work with it as expected?

Hi @GarethBaker1 , I'd certainly recommend setting up a trial project where you can monitor how the feature class updates and web application respond to multiple users streaming new features. If you had a completely separate feature class for each user, it would probably perform better than multiple users streaming updates/edits to a single feature class. But how well this approach works will all depend on a variety of factors: streaming intervals refresh intervals network connections number of users submitting to one feature class or individual feature classes etc... I'd roll out a test environment first and consider whether the behaviour suits your organisation's needs.

Hi @MattHuser , Apologies for the delayed response, are you still trying to work with this issue? I've just been testing and confirming the behaviour in ArcGIS Online. Unfortunately, we're looking at a current limitation of the 'Overwrite' method for updating an existing hosted feature layer with pre-configured view layers and a bit of a grey area between the 'overwrite' and 'append' methods for updating our GIS data. If we're adding feature classes to feature layer during an overwrite, these new feature classes will only appear in subsequent view layers built after the overwrite has been carried out. Meaning that we would need to re-configure new view layers to see the newly added layers. If we're appending new records to an existing layer within the hosted feature layer (via the 'Update Data' option in ArcGIS Online), then we would see new feature layers within the views "as soon as updates are applied" - Documentation: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/manage-data/manage-hosted-feature-layers.htm#APPEND But unfortunately, the 'Append' method can't be used to add new feature classes into a grouped feature layer. Hence, the "grey area" I mentioned... I've submitted a bug and enhancement for this behaviour: ENH-000141026 - "ArcGIS Online: add ability for the 'Update Data' method of appending to add additional feature classes to a grouped hosted feature layer." BUG-000141027 - "ArcGIS Online: If the "Overwrite" method is used to add new feature classes to an existing hosted feature layer, any pre-configured view layers will not inherit the newly grouped feature classes" Hopefully future development efforts can address this behaviour.

Hi @KevinMacLeodCAI , Thank you, we're certainly in agreement on that sidenote. There are currently enhancement requests and defect records lodged for this behaviour, so fingers crossed 🤞 Hi @MattHuser , Can you elaborate on your hosted feature layer; is this a series of feature classes grouped into a single feature layer and you are updating records within them? Or are we adding a completely new feature class to the grouped layer? How is your update method carried out?

Hi Craig, We're looking into the issue at Esri Australia technical support. We've also replicated slow response from the ArcGIS Workforce application (on Android 11 devices) when trying to view Assignment photo attachments. About 5-10 seconds. However we're also seeing a failure to attach photos via the camera capture method (uploads work fine). Have you ever encountered any strange behaviour or errors when the ArcGIS Workforce Project feature layer has views built off of it?

Thanks for providing your resolution to this issue Emily! For any other people coming across this issue, we've also noted another cause: ArcGIS Pro allows us to add a domain to a field and then subsequently add a subtype over the top of it. I'm not sure of a use-case for this performance, as we would usually do this the other way around (i.e. add a subtype to a field and then add domains to the subtype options). Applying a domain and then a subtype, prevents the domain from being removed from the field. It also causes performance issues after this layer is published to a web portal and consumed through ArcGIS Field Maps: Android - "Domain Already Exists" iOS - "Layer Failed to Load" The workaround for this, is to remove the subtype from the field, remove the initially applied domain, then re-apply the subtype.

If you're working in ArcGIS Online, is this a Hosted Feature Layer or a View Layer? If you're working in ArcGIS Portal, is this layer published as hosted or referenced? and is it a view layer we're using? I've replicated a field similar to yours: With Domains where the descriptions and codes differ: My Survey XLSForm has no choice list configured for the corresponding question/field And a similar URL scheme in my Dashboard: https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/f0f49fbf66ed487883ece613d465ec1c?field:pad_username={username}&field:prop_name={CCCODE}&field:paddock_name={PadNum}&hide=navbar And the description passes successfully: I think we need to get more information about your layer in order to understand why it's not working. Can you answer the questions at the top of this reply?

Hmmm, I'm not able to replicate the issue on my end... Are we using ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Portal? (if Portal, what version?) Can you provide a screenshot of the 'CCCODE' field configuration from the 'Data' tab of the feature layer in your web portal? Displaying the List of Values (Domains) and their codes? If you open the attribute table in a web map, do the codes display under the 'CCCODE' field? or do the descriptions display?

Hi Kirsten, Are you able to upload a higher quality screenshot of your Dashboard and embedded Survey123 element? It's a bit hard to make out but if your 'Station' question is getting prefilled by the CCCODE attribute of the selected feature in your map, is that alphanumeric entry not what you would expect? Seems quite long for a domain code? Thanks, Glen.
