Hi Jon, as the iOS and Android versions of this app are retired and there are no on-going development efforts being made for Collector Classic (Windows), it is probably a given that we will see unexpected behaviour as time goes on. Although this whitepaper is aimed at Esri's more contemporary mobile apps, it may help with your MDM deployment: https://downloads.esri.com/resources/enterprisegis/esri%20whitepaper%20-%20arcgis%20secure%20mobile%20implementation%20patterns.pdf Alternatively, has any thought gone towards ArcGIS Field Maps on Windows 11? https://support.esri.com/en-us/knowledge-base/how-to-install-arcgis-field-maps-on-windows-11-000030715

Hi @mjennings323 , couple of questions: What version of Survey123 Connect are you using to publish the survey? Are you publishing to ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise? Do you have a sample of the XLSForm?

Hi @AndrewMulford1 , the message you've described is discussed here: https://support.esri.com/en-us/knowledge-base/problem-the-message-no-visible-layers-is-displayed-in-a-000028433 Could it possibly be that you're working with layers that have relationships?

Basically, do I need to have all of my field staff sync their edits in existing offline areas before adding a new field to a feature service in order to prevent orphaned replicas? - Yes, if you want to play it safe. This is the advised workflow. Any time we make schema updates, offline map areas need to be re-created (regardless of whether they were pre-packaged in ArcGIS Field Maps Designer, or packaged on demand in the field app). You could try it, and it may work on some occasions. But more often than not, it's better to make sure the schema of the replica matches the online parent.

Hi @AlixPower1 , Seems like the replica geodatabase (where your edits get stored) might have become disconnected from the parent feature layer. This can occur if some schema updates have occured in the online feature layer (such as adding/deleting a field). If this has occured, the web map owner would need to re-create the offline map areas and the field user would need to re-download them again... Can you comment if anything like this might have occurred?

Hi @MarcelBeckmann , To my knowledge, in the configuration you've described, there is no setting that we can establish to restrict how many surveys (related records) can be submitted per feature. However, you could set up the layers in your web map to behave a certain way to prevent additional edits to geomtries that have related records... Create a Spatial Join (using Map Viewer) between the feature layer and the related table, and output a joined view layer. Apply a filter to the view layer so that you're only rendering geometry that without a related record Add your Survey123 URL to the pop-up of this layer Now users will only be able to see geometry and complete surveys for records that are yet to be surveyed. And once they have been surveyed, the filter will remove the feature from the web map. Keep in mind, these joined view layers don't work offline unfortunately.

Hi @DeniseVachon , Yes, if you add a new field to a feature service that is already present in some existing offline map areas, then you will need to re-create the map areas in order for the new field to be present. This also means your field users will need to re-download the updated offline map areas to their devices as well. You can read a bit more about it here: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/manage-data/take-maps-offline.htm#ESRI_SECTION3_BF5D138B28C642D68137FA417C952160

Hi all, This behaviour isn't currently recognised as a known defect with ArcGIS Field Maps. As @RhettZufelt mentioned, it doesn't look like what you're describing can be consistently replicated; as I'm also seeing bi-directional sync as expected... Some troubleshooting questions: Do you have other offline dedicated web maps that you can test with? Is this behaviour affecting all of your offline web maps, or just the one? Next, is this occurring in all offline map areas within that web map? Can you add another editable feature layer to the same web map and test whether the same issue occurs? (i.e. narrow down whether all feature layers within the web map are affected, or just one) Thanks, Glen.

@AlGrant Are you creating the offline map areas on-demand in the mobile app? or have you pre-packaged an offline map area, using the ArcGIS Field Maps Web Designer? As mentioned by @ChristopherCounsell , it would seem the offline web map might now be misaligned with the schema changes (e.g. domain/choice-list) that have been established. For troubleshooting purposes, if possible, create a new offline map area (either in the mobile app or through the web designer) and try your editing workflow again.

Hi @KatieAndrews , In your use-case, is there no down time at all in which your survey could be republished? This ArcGIS Idea has already been implemented (see above post from James Tedrick). Are you saying you'd prefer to update the domain in ArcGIS Online via the feature layer's 'Data' tab, with the expectation that the Survey123 form item automatically inherits the choice list changes?

@danbecker - it certainly looks that way May need to double-check that the root certificate and all intermediates have been imported to both Portal and Server components. Perhaps look at importing the certificates from arcgis.com as well. It might pay to reach out to your region's tech support.

Hi @AmberKelly , If you see my comment above, you need to place an 'f' in your script. In the example here, it would be on line 19, immediately before the message "Unable to delete item. This service item has a related Service item".

@DanielMurillo - this is currently a known limitation of the Survey123 website. ArcGIS Online/Survey123 uses hosted feature data store functionality for the export operation, and even with the 'extract' capability rnabled for your referenced feature service, there will still be no capacity to use the export function from the Survey123 website's 'Data' tab. There will be a software enhancement request lodged for this, as well as the associated documentation.
