Another role like Publisher or the role has permission to use Perform Analysis and publish result as result layer in the web map/app. Share the created web map/app to the User role. The User role then use the result layer's run analysis (See the the pdf page 15 ~ ) It's more like pre-configured tool. It may have other ways to use Spatial Analysis as a User role that I might not knowing. Hope this help.

The Perform Analysis tools The administrator of the organization must grant the user the following privileges: Create, update, and delete content Publish hosted features Spatial Analysis Members of the Publisher or Administrator organization roles have these privileges by default. Certain tools need additional privileges, such as Network Analysis and GeoEnrichment privileges. User role cannot publish hosted features; thus USER cannot perform Analytics tool in map. Once the Analysis result is shared in the web app, USER can run the analysis tool with the result layer. https://www.esri.com/content/dam/esrisites/en-us/about/events/media/UC-2019/technical-workshops/tw-5835-641.pdf

The solution for the gray out due to the certification issue. the corporate certificate generates an issue that does not recognize by the ArcMap. Update the Internet Option could be the workaround. Internet Explorer -> Advanced -> uncheck the "Check for server certificate revocation". This will not check for all browsers' certificates which is not recommended by organization IT and against the security policy. To solve the root cause needs to allow each ArcMap client able to validate the certificate by the root certificate issuer.

The workflow for upgrading geodatabase and migrating data using SQL Server backup file. The requirement is for Geodatabase 10.3 upgrades to Geodatabase 10.9.x Source database cut off (no more editing on the production geodatabase) All GIS users checked in their version data to the default base version. Do a Fully compress a geodatabase which has enable the versioning. The compress command to reconcile and post all outstanding changes in the child version to the DEFAULT version (eg. I*, a*, d* dataset) DBA to create the Geodatabase full Backup file (*.bak) Create the relevant SQL user accounts in the new SQL Server 2019 if not exists Restore the backup file to New SQL Server 2019 with its identical name Pre-process for Geodatabase Upgrade Run the premigration SQL script to enable Allow_SNAPSHOT_ISOLATION and READ_COMMITTED_SNAPSHOT options to be ON (the options are required after ArcGIS geodatabase 10.6+. ) ALTER DATABASE Geodatabase_name SET READ_COMMITTED_SNAPSHOT ON GO ALTER DATABASE Geodatabase_name SET ALLOW_SNAPSHOT_ISOLATION ON GO Run SQL script to link the user account with current SQL server 2019 (ensure the source geodatabase’s user account is created in step 5. This step to link the restored database with current SQL server instance. ) EXEC sp_change_users_login 'Update_One', 'sde', 'sde' go EXEC sp_change_users_login 'Update_One', 'GeoDatabaseCreator', 'GeoDatabaseCreator' go Execute geodatabase upgrade using ArcGIS Pro. Create database connection file to destination geodatabase with the sysadmin right (not geodatabase admin user) Right-click on the database connection file Expand the Connections section Expand the Upgrade Status Click Run Upgrade Checked options for Perform Pre-Requisite Check and Upgrade Geodatabase Review the dataset in the new geodatabase. The above workflow for geospatial data types includes the feature class, tables, dataset, and relationship class/tables. If there is the requirement to upgrade raster_storage or geometry_storage for SDEBINARY will need to add extra steps in the pre-process for Geodatabase upgrade.

Hi @ManueleMesseri, Not sure about the Upstream/Downstream button via ArcFM Web 4.11. You could create workflows for the trace function using the Utility Network ArcGIS REST API. Pass the trace parameters: trace location, barriers etc; then get back the trace result. https://developers.arcgis.com/rest/services-reference/trace-utility-network-server-.htm

Hi @jbugarin You could start to download the spatial dataset from the Government's Open data website where suits your area of interest. E.g. cadastral data from local government, demographic data from National Bureau statistic, satellite images from USGS, Geoscience Australia, etc. to build your own dataset that relevant to your topic. Below is the analytics tool link for tool usage. https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/geoanalytics-desktop/considerations-for-geoanalytics-desktop-tools.htm

I have an issue with ArcMap 10.8.1 connect to Portal for ArcGIS 10.8.1. All machines are in the AWS environment with a proxy server settings. After setup the portal connection in ArcGIS Administrator. The ArcGIS Connection shows connected but the Sign-In option of ArcCatalog and ArcMap are still greyed out. Suspect on the issue that the ArcMap cannot verify the Portal's certificate as to connect to Portal via ArcGIS administrator or ArcGIS connection it prompts the security warning about the certificate. Use Fiddler on the desktop machine it shows 403 vaulttest.domain.com:8200 (access is forbidden) Not sure if this will prevent the connection from ArcMap to Portal? if so, should every desktop where using ArcMap requires to open 8200 port from each desktop to the vaulttest.domain.com issued certificate server? Is anyone aware of what 8200 port? does this is using by ArcMap

Hi Kenneth Does your hosted ArcGIS server allow use admin URL via WebAdaptor URL? https://webdaptorURL/hostarcgis/manager If yes and if you could un-federate it with Portal. Then federate it back with the Hosted ArcGIS server via WebAdaptor URL. You will able to see the drop-down list from the hosted ArcGIS server URL (This working for me for Enterprise 10.8.1). The valid SSL certificate is for hosted ArcGIS WebAdaptor SSL If you did not allow the hosted server to use the admin URL via WebAdaptor then you can do that via the portal admin page.. in the federated server (the hosted ArcGIS server one) and click update... then it will update it to the hosted server. https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000023182 How To: Select a hosting server through the Portal Administrator Directory

Hi Annina Rupe, The config.ini is a plan tex file. It can be created in any text editor (notepad, notepad++). Please reference to python configparser help document below. 13.2. ConfigParser — Configuration file parser — Python 2.7.17 documentation You will create the section and variable names in the config.ini. eg.[program] is the section name; layer1, layer2, and layer3 are variable names. The HUC8, HUC10, Countries are the values of your variables which will be read into the python script. The config file location can locate in the same folder as the python script (or anywhere the script can access, as long as you define where to read in the script). There are examples from the python help doc. [program] layer1=HUC8 layer2=HUC10 layer3=Countries
