Hi Tom, I checked and there is no Page Query in the index Layer so I will contact Esri. When I was working with the previous version, everything worked perfectly! Have a good day.

Hi @SvenBiesdorf1, I had this same question, and didn't find an answer I really liked, so I decided to make a toolbox. It works very similarly to the solution posted by @JohnWatt here in the comments, but makes it a little more user friendly. Just export a .bkmx, specify the output folder, name, and coordinate system, and it creates a feature class for your bookmarks. @TomBole mentioned that you can use Bookmarks as the input for your map series which is true, but it is convenient to be able to set your extents as bookmarks and then also have an option for dynamic text fields. I have made the toolbox and python script available here: https://github.com/roirboya/Bookmark2FC_Pro

Not sure if this is exactly the same thing, but seems like it and I am using 2.7. I've documented what I call Ghost Layers in the Dynamic Legend. This is where a legend shows the layers you want and looks good, and like the OP stated, upon exporting to a *.jpg, suddenly the legend shows the [...] meaning there are hidden layers (Fig 1.jpg). Expanding the legend, I see a lot of layers on my map that were not included in the legend at all. Looking at the layers in the legend, they don't appear to show up either, but they show in the legend itself on the map (Fig 2.jpg) - The red shows what should be displayed and what the legend shows is displayed, the blue is what the legend in the map is actually displaying. My solution that I find works, is to just delete the legend, then use your <Ctrl-z> to undo the delete and then I always find all those hidden "ghost" layers now displaying in my legend in the Contents Pane. They are always listed below my last layer I want displayed. So it's easy to just select all those unneeded layers and delete them and then resave the project and re-export and I haven't yet had a map with it coming back after doing this (Fig. 3). Note: My figures were taken from various maps I've experienced the issue with and not the same map, but the general principle is the same. Just my little fix for something similar or even the same issue. Hope it helps...

The Save as Default option Tom mentioned for legends also works for table frame fields. It should help the table to look the same, even if you switch maps. You can learn more about it here: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/layouts/add-and-modify-table-frame-fields.htm

Hi Christian, Thanks for the screenshot and the layer file. This is a legend patch scaling BUG SPECIFIC to how the layer is symbolized and not a general issue with this functionality as was addressed with BUG-000132025. You have highlighted a different symbol configuration that the fix to does not address. ArcMap is handling this particular symbology in the allotted legend item patch space more accurately than ArcGIS Pro. As you stated earlier the likely issue is with the shape marker set along the outline. I'll enter an issue, however, at the same time, I suggest that you enter an issue with Esri Support. They can be contacted at https://support.esri.com/en/contact-tech-support. This allows for other users to attach to the bug and allow. It also helps us prioritize our work. Thanks, Tom

Hi Sarah, Currently all fields used to sort a Layout Table Frame must be visible in the table frame. There is an item on the Ideas site to expand this - https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-ideas/allow-sorting-on-any-field-in-table-frames/idi-p/931748. You may want to add your voice to this enhancement. Thanks for the feedback, Tom

I am having the same issue. Often I want to add a 2d polygon layer to a 3d scene, but when you do that for some reason the program defaults to placing the shapefile or feature class under the 3d layers in the table of contents. The data is rather large and thus ties up the program for a long time trying to render. Even if I press pause it can take up to half an hour to actually pause while the render wheel keeps spinning. While its "pausing" I can't do anything. I can't even force the program to close through the task manager until it stops rendering. It would be nice if 1) I had an option to add the polygon layer to 2d layers instead of 3d when I select "add to current map" from the catalog pane and/or 2) the pause button actually paused...

Avivit, 1. Yes, a dynamic legend on the layout is only affected by the current extent of it's source map frame. It is independent of other map frames and map views. 3. No, you cannot display different versions, with different layers visible, of the same map in different map frames. You will need different maps for this. You can copy/paste the maps and then change the visibility as needed. Here is the pertinent information from the help topic: Add and modify map frames There is an idea you may be interested related to your question you may find interesting - Locked Multiple Layouts in ArcGIS Pro.
