Hello, I have been trying for some time now to do this, and it is very frustrating. After I geocoded, I now have the X and Y values and the addresses, but I do not have the unique number associated with them. There are thousands of them, so I cannot add them manually because of the time frame. Here is an example of what my current data looks like... In "Set 1" the first and second numbers represent the x/y coordinates. Then, it is the street address (110 Street, 111 Park, 112 Road, 113 Ave, and 114 Lane). In "Set 2" the first number represents the unique ID. Then it is the street address (110 Street, 111 Park, 112 Road, 113 Ave, and 114 Lane). Set 1 Set 2 1 3 110 Street 99 110 Street 2 4 111 Park 100 111 Park 3 5 112 Road 101 112 Road 4 3 113 Ave 102 113 Ave 5 9 114 Lane 103 114 Lane I would like to match and combine these somehow in Excel. The final output should look similar to "1 3 110 Street 99 110 Street". Since there are thousands of entries, I need to partially match the data and then combine the two cells together. My idea is to combine the "110 Street" together since both columns share it. If there is another way I should do this, please let me know!

Hello, I don't know if anyone knows this answer, but I thought I would give it a try here in our GeoNET. I need to do this first so that I can update it in GIS. I have two different Excel spreadsheets. They have almost the same data, but it has been updated so some entries are not there anymore or some items have been added. I have some items that are labeled "I" or "O" for inside or outside in the "E" columns. I need these in my new spreadsheet, and there are 300 or so of them. The values that are the same and need to match are KVA, LOW_VOLTAGE,COXX, and HIGH_VOLTAGE (rows A, B, C, and D). I would like to somehow have the formula look at these values from the original sheet, and if they are the same, it will put an "I" or "O" in the field "E" in my new sheet. Thank you very much for helping me!

Thank you for responding Kyle. I'm not sure but it seems like something was being accessed in that Geodatabase. I closed all my programs, and it still would not work. The solution was to create a new Geodatabase, and I do not have any issues now. Thank you for helping!

Update: It looks like it is just that particular Geodatabase. I created a new one and added in a feature to test the new one and everything works fine. I'm the only user for the Geodatabase that has the issue. Any idea on this?

Asrujit SenGupta Just curious, it wouldn't have to do anything with my license level would it? I'm on Basic (ArcView).

I am using a File Geodatabase. Also, this database is not being used by anyone else except for me.

Hello, I attached pictures to help ask my question. I have a Geodatabase, and I created a Domain. I did right click->Properties and chose the "Domains" tab. The domain I created is a Coded Value, and I chose Text for the Field Type. I was able to easily type in the information within the Geodatabase, but I cannot do anything within the Feature Class. I then did right click->Properties and chose the "Fields" tab for the feature within the Geodatabase. Within this tab, I cannot select anything such as adding in a new Field Name or selecting a domain. I also cannot update the current field names to choose a current domain. I completed a tutorial yesterday, and I was able to do that with their data. I would like to try to create a new Field Name, but I cannot even type there to add it in. Does anyone know what is going on, and what I can do to fix it? Thank you!

Hello, I was just wondering about ArcGIS Pro and ArcMap. I have both, but I do not know too much yet about ArcGIS Pro. My question is when should/would I use ArcGIS Pro? I'm still using ArcMap, but should I start to use Pro for some of my projects? Is Pro mostly for using with Online while ArcMap is more for of the traditional route? Any information would be great!

Darren, Do you have FME? I just watched a webinar on it. It is very exciting! Geospatial and Minecraft - Why You Should Care | Webinar | Safe Software I've been looking into this too, but I'm not familiar with it enough yet. I also did a search with something like "Minecraft GIS" and several articles show up with FME.
