Just to confirm, we did verify that registering spatial views using ArcCatalog or ArcGIS Pro made them once again usable in ArcGIS Pro 2.9.1. We are in the process of updating all of our spatial views that had previously been registered using SDE Command Line tools. An additional benefit to this is that once they are registered using ArcCatalog or ArcPro, they can now support ArcGIS metadata, whereas the command line-created ones didn't.

Hi there, I have a map service that contains a point feature class and a DEM raster (from mosaic dataset). When I published from ArcMap, the map service would display the DEM's Pixel Value upon doing an Identify in ArcMap or ArcPro. Now I have rebuilt the source project in ArcGIS Pro and the popup works fine in the project, but when I republished the service, when I try to do an identify on the actual service in ArcMap I get No Identified Features found, and when I click on DEM in the map in Pro, no pop-up comes up at all. (the pop-up does come up for the point features) How can I get my pop-up to work again for my raster when publishing from ArcPro to display the pixel value? I tried to turn on all of the fields in the Configure pop-up dialog, but that didn't help.

I would probably try to export them into a new file geodatabase or export to a shapefil.... while you have the project open with the file geodatabase open in the catalog pane, under Databases, create a New File Geodatabase... Then, for each feature class in the geodatabase, right click on it, and choose Export/Feature Class to Feature Class, then export it to your new file geodatabase. If that doesn't work, maybe try Feature Class to Shapefile. If that doesn't work, try just copying and pasting the feature class from the old geodatabase to the new geodatabase. if that doesn't work, then the data is probably corrupted.

If you were in Editing mode, and actually editing features, if you just closed your project without saving your edits, the polygons should still be there when you reopen, but it is still unclear to me what you actually are missing since the red exclamation points are something you would see in your map's layer list if you are missing the actual data source (file geodatabase feature classes)... If so, try this: open your ArcGIS Pro project again, then under View, turn on your catalog pane, and expand Databases.. if you don't see your file geodatabase, right click on Database and choose Add Database, then try to browse to wherever you have your file geodatabase stored. click on your file geodatabase and add it to the project. Then double-click on it to open it, and see if there is anything in it. if not, try right clicking on the database and choosing refresh. If there is nothing in the database, then unfortunately you have somehow deleted all of your feature classes. Once you have done that, there is really no way to get them back unless you were working on a network share that is being backed up each night or something, in which case you could request the restore a backup from the previous night. If the feature classes are showing in your file geodatabase, if you are still seeing the red exclamation points by your layers, you can try resourcing them to the geodatabase layers by going into their properties, and in the source section, try browsing to the geodatabase feature classes to source them... or you could just drag your feature classes into the map fresh from the catalog pane. I hope this helps at all; it is kind of hard to help when I can't see the project, but let me know if you have any other questions!

What did you delete by doing Ctrl X? All of the features from the layer (points/lines/polygons) while editing? or did you delete the feature classes from the geodatabase? or did you delete the entire geodatabase? what software are you using (ArcGIS Pro, or ArcMap?) note that if you clicked Ctrl X, that is "Cut", so theoretically if you haven't copied or cut anything else since then or closed your software, it is still in your clipboard so you should be able to paste whatever you cut.. but more information would be helpful to know..

We have found that in ArcGIS Pro 2.8.1, we were able to add all of our spatial views to a map just like normal by dragging in or using Add Data, but the ones that had been created using SDE command line (as opposed to being created within ArcGIS desktop) would just be identified as "query layers" in the Source tab. But now, in ArcGIS Pro 2.9.1, we are unable to add the command line-created SVs to a map by dragging or using add data. It just fails. (workarounds are that you can use the Add Data / Query Layer option, or you can add to ArcMap, then import that to ArcGIS Pro). other than that, it appears we will have to recreate all of our older spatial views if we want to use them in ArcGIS pro.

Interesting...I am trying to provide guidance to staff on indexing usage and settings so I turned off my "Update the index periodically" setting to see what difference it made, and come to think of it, I haven't gotten the ExceltoSQLLite message in a while... at least a couple of weeks.

You can provide referenced feature layers for download by sharing them to an Open Data site. Most of our items on our open data site are referenced feature layers that are pointing to our ArcGIS Server.

Hi Kara, I see all fields to filter, however if I choose a field whose values I want to choose to filter on, then it only shows me up to 5 of that field's unique values.

Our agency also has this need... we know we are able to use the member's Transfer Content option to move ALL content from a person to a folder in another person's content, however we often need to move just select items, especially in the case where the person who had the offline areas is not actually closing their account, but rather are just passing on a project or workflow to another staff member. It would be helpful if the Change Owner dialog allowed us to change the owner of layers with offline areas, or at least if the Transfer Content option had the ability to pick which items to transfer.

Currently the Open Data Filters dialog only displays up to five unique values to filter on for a given field. If there are more possible values, the end user must search to access them. The problem is the end user often will not know what other potential field values exist to filter on. My suggestion is to display all possible field values available for filtering on a particular field, not require the end user to know and search.

Hi Julie, I had this problem too today where the new values were not displaying in the filter interface (and removed values were still showing). I was able to fix it by unsharing and resharing the AGOL item, then clearing my browser cache. Then the new filter values displayed. The other problem we have is that only up to 5 unique values are available to filter on.. the user has to search for other values in a text box, which is not very intuitive with 16 possible values.

I am also having this issue. I have a hosted feature layer that I have a survey writing to, and I am unable to add a new field to it. I can add fields to other hosted feature layers, but not this one.

What I do is, if I have a related file I want to include, I add the URL to that item (the layer file on AGOL for instance) into the metadata of the main item under Distribution/Transfer Items/Online Resource, updating its Function to "Download" (down below in that tab). Then it shows up as an Additional Resource in the download dialog. Not super obvious, but at least associates it with that item and makes it available to the user. Here is the item download URL if you want to see: https://data-wi-dnr.opendata.arcgis.com/datasets/original-vegetation-points/explore?location=44.768460%2C-89.834211%2C12.96

Does anybody know if there is a way to reference the currently signed-in hub account's name from the Hub site? Something like "Welcome to the site, <name>"? additionally, is there a way to glean other profile information about them like what supporting teams if any that they have been added to?
