This is due to a bug related to the version of Xvfb used (1.17) One workaround would be to run the following command: yum downgrade Xvfb Then restart the ArcGIS Server and it should run smoothly.

Hello John, Please also ensure that that version (32 or 64 bit) of the Portal resources matches the version of your Microsoft Office installation.

There was a known issue in the beta version regarding this error, it happened when the 10.4 ArcGIS for Desktop was installed AFTER ArcGIS Earth was installed. It looks like this issue persisted into the final release. I recommend running the ArcGIS Earth Repair Utility provided in this KB article: http://support.esri.com/en/knowledgebase/techarticles/detail/46001

Hi Omolara, I have seen this happen when Pro cannot access the license manager involved in handing out the Pro licensing. If you know the hostname/IP address of the machine where the license manager is installed on, as well as the port number used by the license manager (the default is 27000), you can do the following test: Open a browser on your computer and enter http://machinename:port or http://ipaddress:port Example: http://license.esri.com:27001 If it displays "Wê-60Wê-60Wê-60Wê-60Wê-60Wê-60" in the browser (in Chrome it will download a file with this string), then your machine does have access and you are probably facing another issue. If not, verify the following: 1) The license manager is started 2) The firewall is open for the port being used by the license manager 3) In the License Server Administrator program, go to "Availability" and make sure there are licenses available for the "Named User" line. I hope this helps! -Danny

Hello Zulima, If the 'Finish' button is accessible and it says the authorization completed, then it is complete. The 'Authorizing' text does not go away when it completes. -Danny

Nicola is correct. More than likely none of your previously authorized licenses will be available once you get the license manager started, although I doubt you will be able to get it started again now that the MAC address has changed. The license manager is very sensitive to changes to the hardware (be it physical or virtual) and a change of MAC address will usually irreparably break it. I just tested the scenario you are facing on my own license manager and unfortunately the only fix I found was to uninstall, clear out the trusted storage and start from scratch. This means you will have to reauthorize all licenses previously on the license manager. If you can deauthorize them, I recommend doing so before uninstalling. If you cannot deauthorize the licenses, you will need to call Esri Support Services to make those licenses available, and can run you through the steps needed to remove the trusted storage folders which store the license information.

Does the machine with license manager have multiple NICs, or did the MAC address/ethernet card change recently? If you go the 'Authorizations' tab then click on 'Machine IDs', are there any UMNs listed? Can you post the first line from your service.txt, which should start with "SERVER"? My service.txt reads: SERVER this_host ANY 27000 The 'this_host' should take the hostid that the license manager has listed when you click on 'Machine IDs'. From the errors you posted it looks like it is expecting 00155d381f02 but for some reason the service.txt is using 00155d381f33. If you do have two NICs you may have to disable one of them to reauthorize your licenses, although if you do not see those two UMNs, you probably won't be able to authorize anything at all.

The reference to the location of the config-store is in the the framework/etc folder in the installation path. You could move the files (not the folders!) from that location and then access the server manager endpoint, it should allow you to create a new site then.

Hi Andrew! That error is unfortunately rather vague, but I do have a few questions for you: 1) Are you using signed certificates for the ArcGIS Server (or web adaptor) and the Portal web adaptor? 2) From the Portal machine, can you access the two URLs you are using for federation from a web browser? 3) For the services URL, are you using the web adaptor URL, or the URL with port 6080/6443? 4) Is there a proxy involved?

Hi Adam! Portquiz only tests the outbound firewall rules, not inbound, which appears to be the issue in your case. As a test, I recommend turning off the Windows firewall on the ArcGIS Server machine, then attempt to connect to the REST endpoint from the web server machine. If it works, then you know it was the firewall, and you can turn it back on if need be but create an inbound rule for the ports required by ArcGIS Server (Ports used by ArcGIS Server—Installation Guides (10.3 and 10.3.1) | ArcGIS for Server )

Hi Jared, If you log into the admin endpoint and go to Security > Tokens, check what the 'shortTimeout' value is set to (it is in minutes). My guess is this value is set to 1, meaning every minute you are expected to log back in. If this is the case, you can change this to 30 or 60 depending on your needs.

Are you running the script as the same user who installed ArcGIS Server? The script seems to be checking the $HOME/ESRI.properties.... file, so it will not find any products installed by any other user. Also, the script does not seem to have been updated for version 10.3.1, so it may just list the installed products as 10.3, or it may not list them at all.
