Patrick, Although I can't find any specific documentation that definitively states it is not supported, looking at the documentation for "Scripting with ArcGIS Python API", the version dropdown shows version 10.4 and 10.3 grayed out, which probably means it is not supported at those versions. -Danny

Hello Keith, This behavior typically happens when you have Windows authentication enabled for either the portal webadaptor application or the website that it is configured on in IIS, without having the proper Windows authentication configured in Portal itself. If you do want to use Windows authentication with your Portal, try configuring it using the following steps: Use Integrated Windows Authentication with your portal—Portal for ArcGIS (10.6) | ArcGIS Enterprise If you are trying to simply use the built-in users in Portal, you will want to go to the IIS manager on the machine where the web adaptor is installed and disable Windows authentication for the web adaptor application. Here is Microsoft's documentation on doing this:Windows Authentication | Microsoft Docs Note this doc shows how to enable it, just follow the same steps to disable it, but make sure to enable Anonymous authentication on the same window. -Danny

How much of an increase are they seeing? ArcGIS Server 10.5 has some new System services that run that could be adding to the memory usage, although it should be a negligible amount.

Can you post the command you are using to register your web adaptor? You can alter the fully qualified domain name and password for security purposes.

Mira, Thanks for the confirmation. It is my understanding that the supportSceneServices key will only be set to true if the Datastore has tile caching enabled. Can you confirm if the Datastore validates in your ArcGIS Server manager and if it shows up as "[managed]" there? If you have access to open support cases with Esri Support please send me a private message so I can get a case opened for you and we can take a deeper look at this together. -Danny

Mira, Thanks for the response. I looked at the Survey123 source code in AppStudio and it looks like it is also checking for the "supportSceneServices" attribute. Can you confirm if that is present and if it is set to true?

If you go to https://yourportal.yourdomain.com/webadaptorName/sharing/rest/portals/self (fill in your FQDN and web adaptor name in there), what is the value of 'supportsHostedServices' and 'hostedServerHostedFolder' ? You may need to sign in to see these values.

Hi Jose, Just to confirm, did you also upgrade your Datastore instance? Does the Datastore validate in ArcGIS Server Manager > Site > Datastores? Are you able to create an empty hosted feature layer? See Publish hosted feature layers—Portal for ArcGIS | ArcGIS for Server and access it? -Danny

Hi Jose, Are there any relevant log entries in the federated ArcGIS Server? Can you turn on debug logging in that ArcGIS Server, try to publish again and provide any log entries? If you check in ArcGIS Server manager > Services > Hosted, is the mentioned feature service listed there? -Danny

Hello Zorba, According to the documentation (Configure security settings—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS ), "If you disable the ArcGIS Online sign in option, members with ArcGIS Online accounts can still sign in to the organization through https://www.arcgis.com/home/signin.html." For your apps such as Collector, the user can create a connection the organizational URL rather than www.arcgis.com, at which point they will not need to enter the organizational shortname each time they log in through that app. I hope this helps! -Danny

I would actually recommend stopping the ArcGIS Server service and then deleting all of the .rlock files found in the various sub-directories of config-store as well as the .glock file. Sometimes those .rlock files do not get removed properly and lock a file which will cause that error.
