Beginning with ArcGIS Pro 2.7, the online documentation system allows you to switch versions. If you haven't upgraded to ArcGIS Pro 2.7, you can access help topics specific to ArcGIS Pro 2.6 by using the Other versions dropdown. From version 2.7 moving forward, help topics launched from the application will connect to web help matching the version of ArcGIS Pro. See what's new in ArcGIS Pro 2.7!

Hi Tim, Since the help topic mentions "Format Map Frame pane", that would refer to the entire pane that allows you to point to any map or scene in your project. The word "Elements" you see at the bottom is so named because Map Frame is only one part of the many layout elements available to you. There are others. For more information, see Work with layout elements—Layouts | Documentation Hope this clears up some confusion, Jonah

Hello, The best documentation I could find is this following technical article. There may be more documentation but it is going to be from Apple/Android as installing certificates to a mobile device is going to vary from mobile device/OS to mobile device/OS. Error: The server you are trying to connect cannot be verified If we take Collector out of the picture, can you navigate in the phone's browser to the Portal URL and login from there? Does it appear without giving you any certificate errors? Regards, Travis

Tim, Unlike labels, annotation will not automatically update based on map rotation. You will need to edit the angle property of each annotation accordingly. For more information see https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/data/annotation/annotation.htm Hope this helps, Tom

Just a thought for those still struggling with this, we too have hundreds of services running. When publishing services, you can disable schema locking of the service by changing "schemaLockingEnabled" to "false". It is under Parameters > Advanced. In ArcGIS Pro it is under Configuration > Configure Parameters > Advanced. This help keep the services from locking the data and allows schema changes while services are running.

A alternative to this idea - which should accomplish the same goal - would be to allow users to save a "Legend Layout File". Basically a "layer file" for Legends. In other words, if you create a new layout (I'm working in Pro so using this as my example), and you create a Legend in your layout, you should be able to save the Legend properties as a file. As long as a new layout contains the same feature classes/shapefile/etc that you used when creating the original "Legend Layer File", you should be able to import this schema into a new layout and apply it to your legend. This way you'd avoid setting all of your properties again. I like your original idea of being able to copy and paste legends but I also realize that the dynamic nature of legends and how they update with maps might present problems with copying and pasting. Granted you could convert your legend to graphics and copy and paste all day long if you don't need to dynamically update or change the legend, which might be another alternative?

Thanks Thomas Useful help, I don't have time to continue this further at the moment but I do hope to come back to it. Not all of my tables are spatial. Only one is.

I found the issue. I was in properties of legend items and once in that, if you change the text size, it adjusts everything. Once you are in properties of legend items however it is not possible to come out of it in a logical way. If you hit the back arrow, it does preciously nothing. You can to click elsewhere on the layout window and then hit clear selection button. Now select the legend and you are back on the top properties window for it. Now go to, in my case at least, layer name and adjust the text size in there. Intuitive it is not at times.

When I have selected a font in ArcGIS Pro symbology and I then go to select another, it takes me to the top of the list. I find I have to keep scrolling down every time just to get to the next font. A fair bit of the time I am going through various character fonts to see if they are suitable so being placed at the top of the list each time is rather annoying and certainly not user friendly. It doesn't happen this way in ArcMap. I guess i might be able to go back to using ArcMqp.

I am working with a shapefile and need to add a new field with a precision and scale. When I open the attribute table add click add field, I can then add a new field. However when I select, double the precision field and scale are both set to 0 and grayed out. I set the umber formate to numeric but that didn't make any difference. I eventually went into ArcMap 10.5 and ArcCatalog and was able to add the field, with a precision and scale of 31 and 15 respectively. However that then reverted back to 0 0.

I started using ArcGIS Pro 2.0 recently for the first time. What are other peoples experiences of working with imported ArcMap documents in ArcGIS Pro ? I have hit an issue relating to the converting of labels to annotations. I created a new project and imported an ArcMap document it into it. I create a vector grid in ArcMap 10.5 using GT Wizard and I added the grid to the ArcGIS Pro project and then labelled the grid. I converted the grid labels to annotations but nothing seemed to get created in the annotation groups or if it did, nothing was being displayed. I also go no error message UK Technical support suggested create a new map layout. Once I did that and dragged the layers across to it, the convert to annotation worked, This suggests a problem with the map layout, with came from an ArcMap document. Has anyone else experienced these kinds of problems?

I packaged an ArcGIs Pro project yesterday and it took over an hour. This seemed excessively long. All it had in it was 26 layers, including 4 annotation groups. Each layer contained hardly any features. The total file size was about 43.6MB. Some of the layers were on an imported ArcMap document. I am using a dell i7 laptop with 16GB of RAM so it's at the optimum level as recommended by ESRI. Talking with UK support, they said an hour was probably about right. Should it really take this long? Kind regards Tim

Thanks Kory for your reply. I've selected a random page as an example: Set a custom full extent—Properties of maps | ArcGIS Desktop The below one for example tells you to use the Convert labels to annotations tool but doesn't explain where you can find it. Convert labels to annotation—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop Click through you get the tools reference: Convert Labels To Annotation—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop However that doesn't include any screenshots. Another useful thing would be the documentation number in the help file so you know which version the help refers to.

Those folders are automatically available in the dialog boxes like Add Data and Add Folder Connection. The user doesn't have to make a connection to the root.
