Robert, Many thanks for these widgets, and the many others you've kindly shared. Question for you: Would it be possible to "wire" the query-related-records functionality of your Relate Info window to work with your enhanced Identify tool? I want to look into it but thought I would check with you about how doable it is before wasting a lot of time. I'd just like to consolidate how the end-user gets info from map features. In my viewer there are now two ways to get info - Identify tool against layers in a dynamic mapservice and simply clicking on featurelayers. Regards, Mark

Thanks for the reply Vince. So as far as you know this hasn't been logged as a bug? Lucus - did you call Tech Support about this issue? If not then I will. Thanks

I just want to jump in here - we've encountered this bug 4 times now in a 4 week span. This is EXTREMEMLY frustrating as it corrupts the featureclass and we've been forced to delete it and recreate it (along with any relationship classes associated with it, which in some cases are numerous). The problem occurs when we're editing data in SDE (SQL Server 2008, ArcGIS Server 10) that is in a Geographic Coordinate System NAD83 CSRS. The data frame is often in a local UTM zone with the same datum. Operation that cause this error include: Append, copy and pasting features, and digitizing new features. ESRI - please step up with a patch for this. Vince - thanks for posting the sdelayer alter fix. there was still a corrupt feature in the featureclass (no geometry) but at least we were able to edit the FC and delete the offending feature. Has this been logged as a bug? Sean - The bug you've posted doesn't really describe what is happening to us. Mark

I found the problem. It had nothing to do with the field type - the problematic field was named "End" which must be a reserved word in SQL. The error message was a little misleading 🙂

Hello, I'm attempting to import an XML schema from a File Geodatabase (originally created in 9.3 but upgraded to 10) into a version 10 SDE Geodatabase (SQL Server 2008). The import keeps failing when it encounters DATE fields in a featureclass. The error says "invalid SQL syntax [Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 10.0: Incorrect synatax near 'DATETIME2'.]. Has anyone seen this error before? Mark

Hi, Is it possible to update features in a feature service using a where clause? It appears as though you need to know the OBJECTID of the feature you want to update when it would be better (at least for my situation) if I could say "update the geometry for the feature with SiteID = XXX". The only way to do this right now is to send a query request and then use the OBJECTID returned to send the updateFeatures request. Thanks, Mark

Two of the three related info examples aren't working - the one with Kansas Wells and the SF 3-1-1 calls. The feature layers don't seem to want to draw so as a result I can't test out the new widgets. Are they working for you?

Hi Robert, I'm having problems getting the sample sites to run - it looks like the sample data isn't coming in. I'm anxiously awaiting the related info tool though! 😄 Thanks. Mark

Hi Robert, Any chance this is more straight forward in the 2.2 viewer? If not, is it possible to make this work with your enhanced search widget? Is there a way to bypass the search widget and just have the viewer execute the search if it finds URL parameters? Thanks in advance for any advice. Mark

I'm just trying out the Legend widget for the first time today and I notice that unless the operational layer is a "feature" layer it isn't showing up in the legend. I have a couple of dynamic mapservices in my operational layer list and they have a single data frame with 3 - 4 layers in them. Is this a bug or is it by design?

Thanks Robert. That seems to have been the problem (I also cleared the REST cache which seemed to resolve some inconsistencies between the layer name I was using and what the service had). Cheers! Mark
