Ah, thanks for the suggestion, Richard! I guess I never encountered this in Map because I never had this snapping issue before. I also had the separate viewer window so I could see both layers at once so it didn't matter if one of them was turning on and off; I didn't have to try to see them while they were on top of each other.

It seems like there is a bug when saving a map from ArcPro to AGOL using the Web Map tool through the Share Tab. I created a new GDB, with a single feature class. Added five fields to the feature class. And added a single feature to the data. I configured the pop-up to the following. Reversing the order of the fields. Shared the map through the Web Map tool in the Share tab. Made no changes to the Web Map in AGOL. Then opened the Web Map in Field Maps. Started adding a feature and the field order reverted back to the order from the attribute table, ignoring the order set in the pop-up. However, the Pop-Up for added features in Field Maps is displaying in the correct order per the Pop-Up configuration. Now, if I open the Web Map back in ArcPro through the Overview page of the Web Map, Then use the Save Web Map tool in the Share Tab. Then open the map in Field Maps, the fields are re-ordered to the correct order based on the pop-up. I checked to see if clicking on Field Maps Designer would revert the order back to the Attribute Table order of One, Two, Three, Four, Five but it does not appear to be doing so. So, the bug appears to be at the initial sharing of the Map to AGOL.

I didn't realise either, only after looking at some documentation that I noticed it. Thanks for your help!

You can also run into this issue if a filter was set (and saved) in the Visualization tab of the item properties. You can remove it in the visualization tab as well, just need to remember to save. R_

That's a good solution, I like it. However - and I should have included this - having sync capabilities is not an option for a variety of reasons.

Not sure if it is an option for you, but if you create your own basemaps in EPSG:2227 and use that in the web map, then the entire web map will be in that coordinate system and Geometry($feature).X will report the coordinate in the state plane system. I do all my AGOL stuff in state plane in order to avoid these issues. R_

We are doing the same thing as @RhettZufelt , and get some interesting issues, have lots of retries built in to get it to work. Will ping colleagues to post some help as we figure things out.

Exactly what OP described is happening to me. I configured and saved the symbology, labels, and pop-ups on my feature layer. Then successfully brought it into Pro with the applied changes and minutes later it reverts back to default symbology and labels. Oddly, the pop-up configuration changes stayed. It is frustrating as I thought it was groundhog day, thinking I had made these changes to this layer already months ago...

I've been looking for this too. Looks like it's not built in yet, but you can access it through the CIM: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-api-for-python-questions/assign-layer-ids-using-arcpy/m-p/1362779

Hi Rhett, Thanks for your answer. I tried to modify the model in various part of it but I had no luck in solving the issue. Do you have any suggestion?
