I'm new to Geoprocessing, but would like to determine if I have a model created in ArcGIS Desktop Model Builder, can I convert that model to a Python Script for publishing to ArcGIS Server? I would like to convert it to Python because I want to add a couple of things that don't seem to be possible in Model Builder, such as write some output to a CSV file or even a text file. The Model Builder only seems to support GeoDatabases for output. Is there a way to output data to a CSV file once published to ArcGIS Server? Thanks, Charlie

After digging a bit deeper it appeared that some of the files for the Web Adapter were missing. I uninstalled it and re-installed it and now it does work as expected on Port 80. Thanks for the info and help. Charlie

I have gone through the installation of ArcGIS Server 10.1 SP1 and all seemed to go smoothly. However now that it is installed I have discovered that the Web Adaptor is installed on port 6080. I guess this must be a default??? So my Rest services are now showing up on http://servername:6080/arcgis/rest/services How can I change the port of that Web Adaptor to port 80 so that outside access is available to the rest services? I am running Windows Server 2012 with ArcGIS Server 10.1 SP1 Thanks, Charlie

We are trying to install ArcGIS Server 10.1 SP1 on Windows Server 2012 with SQL Server 2012 and everything goes fine until we try to install Spatial Data Server. Is there anything special about installing SDS on Windows Server 2012? Thanks for any help you can provide. Charlie

Version 3.4 of the JS API now says that IE 10 is a supported browser, but if you try the sample for the toolbar draw you will notice strange behavior with the Polygon and Polyline tools. The line does not draw on the start of a point click, but draws after you click on the second point. This sample is at: http://developers.arcgis.com/en/javascript/samples/toolbar_draw/ Thanks, Charlie

Thanks for the information. This sounds like it might be what I was looking for. I am getting the FK info from other code that wraps my JS map. Thanks Charlie

I am trying to use the editing widget to edit a feature layer in a feature service that has related tables with a Primary key to Foreign key relation. The problem I am having is the once I try to place a point on the map using the editing tool, I get an error stating that it violates the FK-PK policy. This is because I am not supplying the new point with a Foreign key value. So, I am wondering if there is a way to pass in or supply the editor tool a parameter when I add the new point to the map? Thanks, Charlie

Does anyone know how long ESRI plans to host the CDN delivery for older versions of the JavaScript API? Say for example version 2.4 or 2.6? Thanks, Charlie

Yes, it does still occur in the example, but seems to hide more of the popup window in some other apps I have made. I'll have to compare my CSS with what is your JSFiddle example to see if there are any differences.

Does anyone know if Bug NIM080359 has been fixed yet or is being looked at? The bug has to do with the popups not being positioned correctly on the map. Popups are often displayed off the map if close to an edge of the map. I am using version 3.3 of the API and am still seeing this issue. This thread talks more about it. Thanks, Charlie

I am trying to figure out what is the best way to go about using the IdentifyTask with multiple map services. All the map services are on the same ArcGIS Server instance, but I have several map services that need to have identify capability. Is there a best practice that people are using to make this work? Seems like this is a "common" requirement, but I did not see anything in the docs that talk about it. Thanks, Charlie

Thanks for the info. However, I am new to using the JavaScript API and JavaScript for that matter, and I am not quite sure how to use this information with the Default Editor Widget. I was looking trying to just resize the default editor infowindow using the map.infoWindow.resize(200, 300); statement but that does not seem to work. Maybe I'm just missing something here. Thanks, Charlie

Greetings, I am trying to find out how to change the size, fonts, etc of the infowindow that pops up with the "default editing widget". I have found through experimentation that I can use the CSS to change some of these properties, but not all. The only CSS elements that I have found are: .dj_ie .infowindow .window .top .right .user .content Can anyone tell me where to find all the elements that will allow me to change the style of the infowindow? Thanks, Charlie

I am trying to see if it is possible to get the startTime for each layer in a time enabled service. What I am doing is very similar to the Sample Time Slider with Dynamic map Service, but with one minor addition. Where the sample sets a hardcoded startTime, I want to get it from a specific layer in the service. I have added the following code to the sample as follows: var timeExtent = new esri.TimeExtent(); timeExtent.startTime = results[2].layer.timeInfo.timeExtent.startTime; The "results" array is passed into the function initSlider(results). This code works but it always gets the startTime of the first array item of results and not the item that I am asking for (ex. results[2]). I am not a JavaScript expert at all, so I was wondering if someone knows of a way to get at a particular array item of results? Thanks, Charlie
