Hello Everyone, I have a data feed that gives me two points (FromLat/Long, ToLat/Long) per event, the beginning and ending of a roadway issue.  For example, ICE COVERED ROADWAY. I need to find a way to capture the roadway line between the two points and be able to display it as ICE COVERED ROADWAY.  Sometimes the length spans different routes (names, numbers, etc.). I have access to road datasets, but do not know how to approach setting up the data or process it to clip the lines between the points. I have thought about trying to use a Routing Service, but do not think I can connect to one with the available connectors. Scenario 1: You have a simple statewide, county based, choropleth map‌.  You need to display it at its full extent and allow users to select a county.  That simple action then drives a number of other elements, displaying many different metrics on that county to your users.  A subtitle for the map explains: "Select a county to see statistics." Simple, right?  Sorry - No. If the user mistakenly pans or zooms, they need to then know how to get their map back to where it started.  you have to add another button in the Map element and then change your subtitle: "Select a county to see statistics.  If you happen to move or zoom the map and want to return to where you were, find the Home button in the map frame and click or tap it." Scenario 2: The map contains many complex, overlapping polygons that require a lot of time to load.  Once loaded, they are cached.  Movement in this scenario is catastrophic. If the map pans or zooms, the polygons must load again.   In its default extent, the user is able to see the results of removing various polygons at a statewide level, and no map movement is required.  I need this for a working group that is studying various combinations of RF footprints in a statewide, multiband, P25 land mobile radio system - to create coverage classes.  I am using a Category Selector to choose the footprints. Locking the map frame in the Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS‌ to panning and zooming - if that is the needed functionality - is essential.  If a dashboard only needs a map with selectable counties at a statewide extent, why let it inspect the backyard of your neighbor - or look at the entire globe? In both of the scenarios above, I need the user to push a button or select a county.   Any other operation is not wanted.  Any other operation creates confusion and necessitates extraneous explanations "just in case" a user does "something else." I have used GeoEvent configuration export to migrate GeoEvent inputs, outputs and services to new installs within my own environment - with mixed results.  I have some regularly logged errors in my current GeoEvent Server that are happening because it is making calls to a couple of servers that haven't been in operation for years.  No, there are no visible references to any of these servers within any Input, Output, Services, Components or Settings.  I'm guessing that the import has made this happen.  Not sure. So now - I have been providing a GeoEvent service to a colleague, who now has her own GeoEvent install, and would like to do this on her own.  What do I need to do to prepare an Export for sharing with someone else?  A few that I am thinking of: Any Credentials.  Like login strings in Inputs to connect to remote data sources - or Data Stores (credentials to ArcGIS Online, etc.) "hostName" information - for example, in an input: Seems as this just refers to the name of the host where GE is installed.  Will this be overwritten on the new machine? runningState="STARTED" or clusterCommand="START"? It can be nice to import items and NOT have them running.  I have no idea what the Cluster Command is, but it seems to coordinate with the runningState. Within GEDefinitions:  owner="myusername@mydomain" Will this just overwrite in the other person's environment - or is this retained and will be an issue if this user is not defined in the other install? AND ONE LAST QUESTION: If I want to share one complete GeoEvent process, from Input, through Service and Output, do I need to do a "Selective Export" for each of the components (input, service, output) OR can I just export the SERIVCE?  The Service export seems to contain everything that is in it, including input, output, all definitions, connectors,etc. Thank you! --Adam ...
