Can anyone tell me if the Collector can still collect events when the device is not connected to a network, and push them when it gets back into network coverage? I cannot find any documentation on this. Thanks, --Adam

I am attempting to use the OD to show results of studies for individual counties. I need to be able to select one county and have the map show other layers' polygons and points, obviously linked by common attribute. I cannot display information for other counties at the same time because both polygon and point layer spill over into other counties. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, --Adam

I just updated to Data Interoperability 10.1 SP1 and also applied the Background GP for Desktop. Now I cannot run Data Interop Quick Imports in the background. Every time it throws two ERROR 001143: Background server threw an exception. Anyone else having this problem? Thanks, --Adam

Anthony, Thank you, that takes care of that issue. However, I'm experiencing the same problem with hyperlinking to a UNC file path. I see the exact same behavior that I was seeing with the url, but now I'm trying to hyperlink to a file via UNC path. For example: file path attribute = \\myserver\fileshare\filename.tif Results after clicking on hyperlink give me that file path appended to the end of the app url. the config hyperlink looks like this: <a href="{FILEPATH}">Image Link</a> Again, this worked in previous versions of the viewer/api, but not in 3.0. Any ideas? Thanks again for the solution with the URL. Kelly Kelly, With your example: file path attribute = \\myserver\fileshare\filename.tif , the following code worked in only the Application Builder 3.0 : <a href="file:{FILEPATH}" target='_blank'>Image Link</a> That opens another browser window with the image. I am still trying to figure this out in the PopUp.xml files in the stand-alone Flex Viewer. The one difference between the two is that the Application Builder does not use the <=!=[=C=D=A=T=A=[ ... ]=]=> wrapper.... EDIT: I just found out that the above code works in IE7 but not in IE8. There are lots of posts about this issue with IE8 out there on the web but no answers that have worked yet for me!

Adam/Andrea, I am thinking it might be your browser that changes the extension, could you tell us which OS and browser (and browser version) you are using? Sorry it took so long! Oddly enough, I was using Chrome for that download. --Adam

There shouldn't be an AppBuilder-2.5.zip file. The file you download should be AppBuilder-2.5.air which you then either double-click (or right-click and "Install"). This will start the installation... Which OS and browser (and version) are you using? Maybe the browser for some reason does not recognize or keep the (air) file extension. Could you try downloading it from a different browser? Or rename your AppBuilder-2.5.zip to AppBuilder-2.5.air. Bjorn, When I click the supplied link to download the AppBuilder - http://downloads2.esri.com/Support/downloads/ao_/AppBuilder-2.5.air I get a .zip file. Should the .zip be changed to .air? When unzipped, the contents are in a folder -- there are 4 folders along with files "mimetype" and "AppBuilder.swf" Is the download incorrect? ***UPDATE*** I just changed ".zip" to ".air" and the install seems to work correctly.... Thanks, --Adam

Hi Lloyd, I am having one heck of a time implementing this widget! I am attempting to utilize the files in HeatMapWidgetCode\v2\HeatMapWidget\src\HeatMap in my project. I am copying the "HeatMap" folder into my Widgets folder. I am using the default Flex Viewer 2.4 (only adding widgets-no other customization), Flash Builder 4, 4.1SDK ("use SDK default" setting in Library path-Framework linkage). The ArcGISHeatMapWidget will not build the swf in my bin-debug widget folder. The <esri_stl:ProgressMessage and HeatMapThemeView lines both show errors "Could not resolve esri_stl:HeatMapThemeView to a component implementation." I can, however, drop the compiled SWF from your HeatMapWidgetCode\v2\HeatMapWidget\bin\bin-2.4 folder into my bin-debug widgets folder, and it works.... Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks, --Adam
