There is a known bug related to this issue, here is part of my Esri Support ticket: [#NIM099481 The Locate Features Along Routes tool fails with error message, "999999: The table was not found," in ArcGIS for Desktop 10.2.1. ] [#NIM098098 The Locate Features Along Routes tool displays the following error message, "999999: The table was not found,".] The issue is not reproducible at ArcGIS for Desktop 10.1 SP1 and only reproducible at 10.2/10.2.1. Therefore the user may role back to 10.1 in order to run the tool successfully. I see that you're using 10.1, but perhaps we missed something in our testing and 10.1 is also affected. I just realized, the rest of the info is relevant, too: The Esri Support tech wanted to close the ticket when he found the first bug which identified the issue as being related to multipart features. But my issue did not include multipart features, so he created the 099481 bug, which is escalated and still open with a High severity.

Yes, there is, depending on which type of annotation you're using. The Tiled Labels to Annotation tool, used alongside a reference scale field, will do this for you. For this type of question, also consider using Esri's Ask A Cartographer site; it has proven more helpful for my cartographic questions than the regular forums: Esri Mapping Centre - Ask a Cartographer

When I publish a 10.3 service from ArcGIS Server and subsequently edit the service in the Collector app, the "Done" button will not be tapped if the field is required. But if I change the field in Catalog to allow Null values, the "Done" button in the collector app will work. Is this a known limitation, is there a workaround, or is it a bug? Thanks!

I can repeat this behavior in Chrome, IE, and Firefox. And I have cleared the caches. I will call Tech Support.

I prepared a bunch of Feature Layers and a Web Map in the My Content/Home folder, and then selected them all and clicked Move -> FolderA. The Web Map and one of the Feature Layers moved successfully. But four of the Feature Layers will not move. I get the error above (screen shot attached). I don't know what it means, or why the other Feature Layer moved successfully. I have confirmed that the Feature Layers are not shared, and do not already exist in the destination folder. They also are exactly the same (except for the data itself) as the Feature Layer which moved successfully. What am I missing? Thanks!

Hope that all worked out for you, Mike. And since I promised to update, here is my (similar but not related) issue, in case anyone uses this thread in the future: Since the beginning of the relationship class in ArcGIS, you could make a relationship class whose name is the same as another table in the database. Though not a best practice, it did work. As of DT 10.3, it doesn't work anymore. The 10.3 client will not be able to see the related tables. Esri has logged a bug for this which doesn't describe the behavior, but rather the fact that the 10.3 client can still see SOME of the tables, when it shouldn't be able to see any of them at all. Long story short: if you have relationship classes which have the same name as any of your tables, you'll need to rename the rel class to a unique name. I am renaming them in place, without rebuilding them. Also worth noting: as of DT 10.3, the program will not allow you to create a rel class w/the same name of another table. BUG-000084853 Inconsistent filtering of related tables, when the table name is identical to the relationship class name.

Sounds like 10.3 client/9.3 db compatibility. Check this link: Client and geodatabase compatibility—ArcGIS Help | ArcGIS for Desktop It suggests to me that functionality is known to be limited, so they say you can connect "to upgrade." I would verify w/Esri support.

Can you successfully create and subsequently see a view in 10.3? And, do you have the ability to confirm with an earlier client that the view itself is healthy and happy?

I can see table views, but cannot see all related tables. My 10.2 clients can see all tables, but my 10.3 client, using the same connection file, can't. I know this doesn't help you, but I wonder if the two are related. I'm creating an Esri ticket for mine, and will follow-up here if it proves informative for your issue.

I don't have Portal. I do have an ArcGIS Online Organizational account, and no, the feature is not there. I also queried the REST endpoint, and the feature is not there. It does not exist in the database, it only appears on the ipad, in the downloaded extent. I even checked another web map, on the ipad, which uses the same feature service. It isn't there, either.

The logs say it worked just fine. And the feature is still visible from the ipad. But the feature is not in the database.

I just upgraded our ArcGIS Servers to version 10.3, and now I get this error when attempting to use a server object extension which worked before the upgrade. I have tried reissuing the extension, to no avail. I have attached the server log, but Googling these errors just brings me to pages of... error lists, not descriptions or solutions. Any suggestions?

ArcGIS Server 10.3, ipad Air (iOS) I have a service to which I can successfully add a new feature while disconnected. Then, with connectivity restored, I sync. The sync appears successful. But the new feature is not written to the database. A json query of the rest endpoint for its ID returns "no results," and the geometry is not present in the feature class. Adding a feature to the same service while connected is successful. So it appears to be related to the sync. How can I troubleshoot this?
