Hi, I would like to connect the WebScene with a Story Map (http://storymaps.arcgis.com/en/) Is there a way to connect a point on the map to cityengine bookmark? I would like to have only one web scene with lets say 4 bookmarks- each bookmark one building, now when I select one point on the map I would have a link to WebScene precisely linking to the bookmark (point 1 - CityEngine URL to bookmark 1, point 2 - sameCityEngine but opens WebScene on the second bookmark and so on.... Is it doable? Lukasz

Hi, I am not sure if you can apply this info to Models, (probably Lot Shapes, or shapes, you may convert (right click on the model --> convert to shapes and try then, but you might loose textures) Start New Rule to apply code "Synopsis setPivot(axisMapSelector, cornerIndex) Parameters axisMapSelector (selstr) Selector which defines the mapping of the old scope axes to the new pivot (and scope) axes. Supported values are: xyz: Keeps the current orientation, i.e. in corner 0 (the origin, see visual guide below), the new x-axis will point along the old scope's x-axis, the new y-axis will point along the old scope's y-axis and the new z-axis will point along the old scope's z-axis. yzx: In corner 0, the new x-axis will point along the old scope's z-axis, the new y-axis will point along the old scope's x-axis and the new z-axis will point along the old scope's x-axis. zxy: In corner 0, the new x-axis will point along the old scope's y-axis, the new y-axis will point along the old scope's z-axis and the new z-axis will point along the old scope's x-axis. cornerIndex (float) Integer value in [0, 7] to select one of the scope's corners to become the new pivot.p. The setPivot operation lets you re-position and re-orient the current shape's pivot. The new orientation will be based on the current shape'sscope axes, the axisMapSelector and the cornerIndex. The new pivot.p will lie at a selected corner (cornerIndex) of the current shape'sscope, and the pivot will be rotated such that all axes point inside the scope. The new scope will have zero translation and rotation (relative to the pivot), and will stay at the same place (in world coordinates), but with different axes. The geometry is projected to the new scope (i.e. stays at the same place in world coordinates). Visual Guide The scope of the current shape prior to the setPivot() operation is depicted in the picture on the left. The numbers depict the cornerIndices. The pivots after setPivot(xyz, v) with v = the cornerIndex. Note the orientation of the pivots: in corner 0, the axes are the same as the original scope axes; at all other corners, the direction of y is the same (or the negative) of the y axis of the original scope. The other axes are oriented such that they conicide with a scope axis. The pivots after setPivot(yzx, v) with v = the cornerIndex. Note the orientation of the pivots: in corner 0, the scope axes xyz are replaced by the axes yzx. The pivots after setPivot(zxy, v) with v = the cornerIndex. Note the orientation of the pivots: in corner 0, the scope axes xyz are replaced by the axes zxy." <-----CityEngine Help Or you can try to move the model to the origin point in Sketchup: Lukasz

Also one more thing, It is a good practice to download Tutorials and Examples (see attachment) I guess there is a Slide Bar in Philadelphia Example then you can check how they organized the Layers , select some area go to File Export--> WebScene and you will see their setting Good Luck Lukasz

Hi You should look through the "General Discussion" If I remember, there was a post about "tailing" the map together in order to get good quality map, If you are new, I suggest to go through the posts and see what you can use in your project If you would like to have existing\proposed conditions you should have 2 layers (1.existing, 2. existing + proposed, OR it depends on your project for instance if you are going to demolish some of the existing buildings then 1.existing, 2. existing-after demolition + proposed) [[[ If you will have 1.existing, 2 proposed then in a WebScene you will have one or another ]]] In order to get a "slide bar" when you export to WebScene name those 2 layers [existing, existing+ proposed] with the same name To start the project check the attachment

Hi! I am not 100% sure, but I think you need to place your photo on server, you can use google drive and copy the image location for instance it will look like that : "http://www.googledrive/my_photo.jpg" and then you need to add the whole code to attribute : <iframe height="405" width= "600" src="http://www.googledrive/my_photo.jpg" ></iframe> You should check Carl's Blog : http://urban-scene.blogspot.com/2013...-to-start.html Lukasz

Hi, How did you bring that cej file into CE? It should be exported correctly and imported correctly, export it as a system file, inside select all the models and files that you or somebody else used in that scene, then import it into your machine by importing that system file, It was working for me without any problems You can not copy *.cej file and paste it into CE Lukasz
