I encountered this error and accompanying funky behavior when simply creating vertices to extent a line and/or line segments. Very simple - existing feature --> edit --> edit vertices. Then begin adding vertices to an existing polyline feature class. In this case, a feature class with 4 features. To solve this, I kind of followed an ArcMap Error that suggested Properties --> [Rebuild Spatial Index] ESRI Error and Solution . In Pro (v3.02) go into Feature Class Properties --> Indexes --> expand "Spatial Index" --> Recalculate. Solved. Unsure how this occurred.

That looks like a pretty sweet tool @DanPatterson linked. It also reminds me of doing 1) Union 2) Add field(s) Acreage and Percentage 3) Calculate Geometry --> acreage 4) Field Calculator --> calculate percentage. Tabulate Intersection appears to require an Advanced License. Also, I am unclear - do you need to itemize per rhizome buffer as with Dan's response, or just a single acreage for the total area? My interpretation of your question is that the buffers overlap, and that all you need is the total area of a dissolved buffer. If that's the case, it's much easier.

Well, my bad. I THOUGHT I had: Git-FileHash path/to/ArcHydroToolsforArcGISPro.sha256 But, I actually: Git-FileHash path/to/<ArcHydroToolsforArcGISPro.msi> So the protocol for verifying the checksum detailed at Downloading and Installing ArcHycro towards the bottom) was slightly misleading as it linked How to Verify the Checksum which was specific to ArcPro and detailed how to obtain the SHA256 file, when in reality, I had already downloaded it. Thanks @ChrisUnderwood ! Zach

Thanks @ChrisUnderwood . I was able to find and view the checksum in the Powershell using the ESRI-provided instructions (didn't know it was in a text file? - that's great). But where do I find the reference for that checksum value? On my link above, How to Verify the Checksum it instructs me to go to MyESRI --> Downloads, find the product and view the value. However we don't download archydro from MyESRI and there is no link for it on that page. See what I mean? I have the checksum, but I need to know what value to match it with.

uuuuuhhhhh, what is Field Map Designer? I clicked here in official ESRI Field Maps Google funnel top-hit: It took me here, ( field maps resources ) and then proceeded to direct me to a buffet of links and articles about Field Maps not Field Maps Designer specifically. I think the 10 minutes it took me to respond here is potentially 10 minutes well spent - rather than wade through the articles and marketing. 1) Do I need to use Field Maps Designer? Just good-old-fashioned Collector-ish web app setup in AGOL, nothing fancy. 2) This must be unintended/bug right? I dropped a gdb with features onto AGOL and into a webmap, then checked the settings for Field Maps/Collector. Now every FC without a domain includes a bar code scanner. So do I need to go through Field Maps Designer? Appreciate your help.

Hi. I want to verify the checksum value before installing archydro. Does anybody know where to find the checksum for archydro? All I can find is checksums for ArcGIS Pro - on MyESRI --> Downloads ( How to Verify Checksum ). I was able to generate the SHA Hash in the Shell, but I don't know where to find the target Hash in ESRI-land, and the doc only directs me to checksums in my Downloads on MyESRI, yet ArcHydro is not downloaded on MyESRI. Note that ArcHydro took me to the "How To" document ( archydro instrucations ).Thanks!

I received this geodatabase from a colleague for a field excursion, collecting data per the gdb domains, feature classes, etc. It appears that EVERY field without a Domain defined is enabled for Barcode scanning functionality in Field Maps / Collector. Does anybody know how to disable this? thanks, Zach

Hi @TomBole . I just got some time to jump back in. Not sure how ESRI defines a bug, but this may qualify. I have a dumb hack to darken background imagery wherein I place a polygon covering my entire map area and set it to a light grey fill. Then Blend --> Multiply. (NOTE! This was the problem - Multiply, not the layer in Blend Mode = Normal) This was specifically to enhance the World Hillshade and Terrain Hillshade Tile Vector Layers from ArcGIS Living Atlas. I checked that layer prior to posting, but apparently not thoroughly - it is the culprit. But, it seems unintended behavior. The clipped map displays in the Map but NOT the Layout. So I am unable to retain that layer. Once removed, the Layout is fixed. Thanks for following up. Happy to submit a report to ESRI if you think it's warranted.

Hi @BarryNorthey I appreciate the response. That's not the issue. I fixed it, but I had to remove a layer that had a blending mode of "Multiply". I'll explain in the response to @TomBole or as a separate answer.

Did you find a solution yet? I do this a lot, but an example would help. For example do you have a spreadsheet with X, Y, Elev, <field1>, <field2>, etc.? Then you either add more features to your spreadsheet or you change field values / add new fields?

Hi. I am Clip[ping] to an outline (Map Properties --> Clip Layers --> Clip to an outline It works in the Map Doesn't show in the Layout. The Layout is completely blank. No dumb mistakes, I'm zoomed in on the Layout; I've removed the clip view to confirm this and the non-clipped map will display. Has anybody seen this before? And...sh**. Z

Exported a figure from an Pro 3.1.0 Layout and the annotations near the mapframe edge and/or straddling it will print outside of the mapframe, to the edge of page margins. See Image Below NOTES: 1) The issue arises when printing with a Pro 3.1 pdf from Blue Beam; functions properly in 2.9. Note that Blue Beam is a pdf software used more by engineers. 2) Prints correctly out of Adobe with both versions. 3) It shouldn't be related to Export settings as I've tinkered with all of those. Please don't respond with "it's an issue Blue Beam". Sure, but Blue Beam prints the image properly with 2.9 figures. Note that both look correct on the screen in BlueBeam and Adobe (this is a screenshot). thanks, Zach

Exporting a layout to pdf that has the World Hillshade Vector Tile Layer from Living Atlas. But a black box appears on pdf. Also activates intermittently in map itself and layout prior to export. This is occurring with version 2.9.5 but NOT 3.0.2. Has anybody seen this before and have advice?

HI @saldanax. I've never used Create Spatially Balanced Points, and the documentation doesn't provide a methodology. But my understanding of your task is: 1. Create probability raster with values from 0-1 (float) 2. Run the tool as such: CreateSpatiallyBalancedPoints(in_probability_raster, out_num_points, out_feat_class) So you need the in_probability_raster. Do you have a model for weighting the slope raster into the probability raster? For instance 0-20 = 0.1, 20-30 = 0.2, 30-40=0.3, etc.
