Sorry I haven’t responded sooner. 1. I am using Connect 3.5.157 2. Yes. It occurs when trying to use the Web form on the phone. We are trying to make this reporting form available through multiple means to make it easier for hunters to use. 3. No. It does not occur with the field app. Here is part of an email from staff that have tested: One of our call center operators mentioned that some hunters had told that they had issues with the online reporting. She did not get details on the exact issues, but I played around with it on my phone and my computer and did run into one issue. When reporting on the website through my phone’s web browser (safari), I get an error the harvest date/time are incorrect even when they are within the correct parameters. This doesn’t seem to be an issue when I reported through my computer’s web browser (chrome). If I monkey around with the date and time (i.e. select another and then go back to the original) it will then accept the original date/time and allow me to get a confirmation number.

We are getting ready to roll out a Web version of our Deer Harvest Reporting Form. It works really well except for the entry of the dateTime. We have a constraint of .<= now() to prevent hunters from entering data in the future. Our testers are letting us know they are getting an error when they enter the date and time. Our workaround is to set a "wrong" date and time, then setting correctly. Has any one else run into this problem? Attached is a screen shot of the error. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated, Chris Anderson Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission

An idea for future development with side cars: Add a timer between them so you can move from one Web map to another, say 5 secs. For example, the viewer would see a map and read a small piece of text, tehn after 5 secs, the next side car then shows, after 5 secs, the next side car shows, etc. This may help some folks that are not experts with making GIFs, movies, presentations, etc.

I have a public-facing survey working well using the desktop/mobile app and am modifying it to work on the Web. During the testing phase, one of testers has noted that the manual input of a date into a dateTime question allows the user to input a dates that are physically impossible (e.g. 123/4567/8901); we know a hunter somehow would input a date like this. I have tried some methods for restricting the input to MM/DD/YYYY to match the desktop/mobile app with little success. I have seen where I can use a regular expression to do this. I think the syntax would be regex(.,'^\d{1,2}"/"\d{1,2}"/"\d{4}$'). I also am not sure which column this would be placed. Any help with this is greatly appreciated. The Bit.Ly is what is created through the survey123.arcgis.com. I have no control over that one. The base for the tiny url is https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/802a2afa3b5544a4ad9e83123b9a53ca

I just used the link because it will be used most by the hunters and staff to enter data. I had numerous staff try the link on the phone this morning, and it worked for almost everyone. But, there was still some staff that were not able to access. I also created a custom TinyUrl link that worked on some devices that could not open the Bit.Ly link. Because this is going out to the general public, we need this to work every time, so if a user is not able to access the Web form, it makes us look really bad in the public eye.

I built a deer harvest reporting tool in Survey Connect, published it, tested it, changed the permissions so everyone can submit to it, and distributed the link to open in the browser. On the desktop, it works fine, but on a mobile device, my testers get a 404 error when opening in a browser on their phone (I tested it on an iPhone and got an error screen, see attached file). If I type the address in manually, and honoring letter case, I can get it to work. More often than not, it doesn't. Since this will be going out to the public, the survey should open up when the link is clicked (it would be hard for a hunter to type in the URL on a phone in the field.) Has anyone else run into this problem? I have attached the XLS file that makes this survey. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated. Is there a limitation to how large the Web form can display an image using the media::image column? I am including one in a note describing the coordinate formats allowed in a Geopoint. I have tried displaying images of various sizes but it seems to display all my images at ~550 pixels. The only way I've been able to get it do display at full size is to place the image on a Web server and use the <a href> and <img> tags in between <p> tags and have the image open in a new browser tab. My file is currently a jpg (2 sizes are attached below). Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated. Chris Anderson Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission

I published a survey for hunters to report any deer harvested, and the hunters are already using it to report their deer. As much as we have gone over every scenario, button push, etc. the hunters could do with the app, something has come up where we need to update and republish. Can the hunters download/install the updated survey using the QR code/Web link without having to delete the existing survey? Or do they have to manually delete their existing survey, then use the QR code/Web link to download the new version? Is there an "easy" way to updating a survey that is already loaded onto a device? I have a survey that was working great, allowing users to download without any problem. After the latest update, v3.5.176, the mobile app gets stuck on downloading when using the link ("Open the survey in the Survey123 field app directly", see below) or the QR code. It "sticks" when the app has only been updated, as well as when the app was deleted and reinstalled. I have done nothing to the survey. I checked permissions/sharing on the feature layer in AGO with no luck. Here's the link to the survey: https://arcg.is/1amSva Any help you can provide is appreciated. Thanks, Jim. I actually found a work-around through the use of the feature layer settings. I made it where users can only add features; they cannot update features. So if a hunter edits a sent record and tries to send it again, they get the error below. If they feel they have a problem, they can call our Call Center to fix. Not pretty, but it works. It would still be nice to make the Sent folder read-only, but this will work til then.

Has there been any additional development with regards to adding the "file" question to surveys developed in Connect? I have added "file" to the types worksheet, updated the data validation, created and published a test survey with a file question, but the option for upload is not available. Chris Anderson

I know there isn't an option to lock a Sent Survey using the base version of S123 (without taking it into AppStudio and modifying). Is there any way to apply logic, constraints, relevancies, etc. that still work when a Sent Survey is opened and edited after submission? I would like to find a way to prevent a survey from being edited after submission, and I'm hoping I may be able to do it through the survey itself instead of S123. Any ideas on how to do this is greatly appreciated. Chris Anderson Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission PS - I know we can disable to Sent Box, but the group I'm working with would like to keep the Surveys on the device. This would help LE is they
