I've seen some related issues posted, but would like to get a summary of recommendations and guidelines ... I am currently transferring ('manually') several classic storymaps to the current framework. These all contain several maps, scenes and other embeds each which are running just fine in the classic template. In ArcGIS StoryMaps I keep running out of memory and crashing (during editing), or simply facing grey rectangles where content should show (same content like classic, mostly map journal template!) I seems the local memory requirements are significantly higher for ArcGIS StoryMaps, and I have to resort to simply linking and creating buttons to other content items, or including screenshots instead of live maps. This leads to a much less immersive experience than I would aim for. Is there any set of guidelines regarding all that? overall memory requirements? number of included maps and scenes? are layers per map a critical item? should I use local layers instead of Living Atlas content? I try to minimize the number of separate maps, therefore multiple embeds with different activated layers. Would it help to use a higher number of simpler maps? does it make a difference whether maps are used as singular blocks, or within sidecars? are apps more memory efficient than maps? ... Recommendations are much appreciated! .Josef

True. Thanks for pointing this out! Too bad this request has been out there so long already without being taken up and implemented ...

Lessons like https://learn.arcgis.com/en/projects/assess-burn-scars-with-satellite-imagery/ had been developed for Pro, but now could be supported with AGO (Image Analysis, in this case). Would be nice to have alternative platform options.

In addition to the 'equal' and 'not equal' selectors, it would be helpful to work with a 'contains' option as well, in case the target category field contains multiple selection inputs from its source (eg a multiple choice / multiple option field fed from Survey123).

thanks again, this I am aware of - my question is more about the handling of de facto interrupted lines due to degraded signal etc. Avoiding long straight connections across gaps in recording.

the actual values / labels might not be suitable for sorting (see example below), I therefore would need 'manual control' over their ordering, just as I have for bar symbology. Inserting an extra field into the source table / feature service of course should be avoided. would this be an enhancement request, or is it doable in any way I have not figured out yet? thanks, j

John, thank you for clarification, this is about what I had expected. Interrupting the track, or somehow labeling the out-of-threshold section would be nice, but likely will dig too deep into the data model. Long term, perhaps this could be handled like with tracker, when I can access accuracy when displaying - although this might not help with vertices missing altogether. Right, I would support the enhancement request you mention - omitting 'degenerate' since-point lines altogether. thanks again, Josef

Good to point out possible causes - thanks! In this case: all with GNSS only, and working well over large stretches of road, then seemingly (?) interrupted / degraded GNSS signal, after a while continuing ok. I think we understand the reason, but looking for adequate ways to handle the resulting trajectories.

In a QC project, required horizontal accuracy is set to x meters. When after successfully starting capture of a track for a period of time this limit is not met, the last and again first points within the limit are connected by a straight line, which of course does not correspond at all to the actual track. Any suggestions how to resolve this? Interrupting the track line would be adequate, this then would be a multipart feature ...? Any other ideas? Thanks!

Using Survey123 web app on desktop or tablets, I would like to control (enlarge) the size of the map window. Any way to modify this? Thanks, js

It would be helpful to be able to set a storage quota per user (role). As item storage impacts credits use, an a-priori handle on storage would be desirable.

Nikhil, 7901565169 ... from what I have learned in the meantime: my access might have been based on a beta, which was superseded and thus removed (?) by the license renewal on Jan 1. thanks, Josef

thanks for your quick response! Well, I am the administrator, and there were no changes applied around the turn of the year. When I 'Edit role', there is no 'Create and edit notebooks' option anymore ...
