Hi i'm planning an Silverlight Application using the ArcGIS Server Silverlight API. The App should be used to show lots of huge raster data in JPG2000 Format. Now i am thinking about a way to publish those Raster Images. What would be the best way to do so? 1. Publishing the Images via Image Server which i load into into the MXD that gets published by ArcGISServer as MapService? 2. Or is there a Way to do it without the ImageServer? It would be great if you could tell me what the most effective way with the best performance would be! Thanks in Advance!

Hi, i dont have a lot of experience with the ArcGIS Image Server and have a general Question concerning this product. I have a mass of image data and would like to show single images in an Silverlight-Application. Because of the fact that Silverlight doesn't allow local data access, i need to publish the images. Is it possible to publish images in a certain folder and then access each image individually? So that i can set some kind of adress in my SilverlightCode to open the image in my app? Thanks in advance!

Hi I create a FeatureLayer by Code and by using the WHERE Clause i add Graphics to it l = new FeatureLayer();
l.OutFields.Add("NHN");
l.ID = "MyFeatureLayer";
l.FeatureSymbol = TS;
l.Url = "http://testestest";
l.Where = "Pointnumber"
testmap.Layers.Add(l); Another way i use is the results of Find and Identify-Tasks. In my SQL Server Database i have a Field called "NHN" and "Pointnumber". In my FeatureClass i also have the field "Pointnumber". Using the Pointnumber-Fields i get the Connection between SQL and FeatureClass.

I tried that but if i use TextSymbols in my FeatureLayer, i couldnt get different Attributes for each Point in my map. I always got the same Symbol for every Point. I dont know how to tell the FeatureLayer that it gets different Values for each Point.

Hi I have an Silverlight App with lots of Point Features in my map. Now i would like to be able to label some of the features (selected by query) dynamically with some attributes. I dont want to use the Tooltip, instead each Point should be labeld with a specific Text. The Problem is, that i dont want to label attributes from the FeatureClass but Values from a SQLServer Database. Is that possible? I use ArcGIS Server 9.3.1. Thanks in advance!

Ok i got it. But is it possible to Filter for all Features that are part of a Array? I have an Array with 20 Numbers. Now i would like to Filter for only those Features, whose Name is equal to the Numbers in my Array.

Ok thanks for your answer! I tried the following code but always get error. Whats wrong with the "Where" part? private void btn_phoehe_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e)
{
FeatureLayer l = new FeatureLayer()
{
ID = "MyFeatureLayer",
Url = "http://XXXX/ArcGIS/rest/services/Test/MapServer/0",
Where = "Name=Peter" };
map.Layers.Add(l);

Hi Can anyone tell me how to create a FeatureLayer in CodeBehind? I also need to implement a Where-Clause in my FeatureLayer and dont no how to do that either. Additionally i would like to know if it is possible to dynamically add Values to the Where Clause. For Examaple: FeatureLayer.Where = Number = XY OR Number = XYZ Somehow like this i think the normal way would be. But i have a List with lots of Numbers and i would like to add a Graphic to every Feature with an entry in that List. Thanks in Advance!

Hi I have got a Silverlight App that displays hundrets of different Point-Features in my map. The Attributes of the Points just consist of Name and Coordinates. Because of the fact that with ArcGIS Server 9 i cant access "normal" tables that are part of my MXD (Am i right that this is featured in ArcGIS Server 10?), i created a SQL Server Database with different tabels. In This table i have a lot of Attributes for the different Points in my Point-Feature. So for each Point there are n-Entrys in the SQL Table. My Problem is now, that i need to highlight the Features in my map that have specific attribute values in the SQL Server Table. So in the SQL Server table there are for example Height-Attributes. Now i would like to highlight every point with a Hight greater then 20meters. I have no Idea how i can realise this effective. The only way i thought about is a Find-Task in my Silverlight App. So first i filter the Data in the SQL Table for every entry greater 20meters. Then i extract the Point-Name of those Entrys. After that i can do a Find-Task for every Entry. Problem is, that i only can enter one specific SearchText for the Find-Task. So i have to execute the Find-Task for EVERY (maybe 200) Point specifically, but that takes to much time. Any Ideas? Hope you understand the whole Problem,...i reallly need help!

Hi I created following TOC from the Silverlight Samples Page: <ListBox ItemsSource="{Binding ElementName=map, Path=Layers.[0].Layers}" MinWidth="330" Margin="5" FontWeight="Normal"> <ListBox.ItemsPanel> <ItemsPanelTemplate VirtualizingStackPanel.VirtualizationMode="Standard" /> </ListBox.ItemsPanel> <ListBox.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"> <CheckBox Margin="2" Name="WasserhaltungMXD" Content="{Binding Name}" Tag="{Binding ID}" ClickMode="Press" Click="CheckBox_Click2" IsChecked="{Binding DefaultVisibility}" /> </StackPanel> </DataTemplate> </ListBox.ItemTemplate> Now i have two Question: 1. Is it possible to group the TOC by individual Groups, so that the List box consists of some kind of TreeView, and not all Sublayer-Checkboxes are shown at once?? 2. Is it possible to create a Slider to change the Opacity of the Sublayers, like one can do it with the Layers??

Ok, thanks for your answer. I now have a FeatureLayer for my PolygonFeature, but it takes to much time until the FeatureLayer is loaded. Also it adds a black Border around my PolygonShapes. How can i stop that?

Thanks for your replies! I tried this: <ComboBox Grid.ColumnSpan="2" Margin="4,6" Name="ms_detail_combo" Grid.Column="2" Grid.Row="1" ItemsSource="{Binding ElementName=map, Path=Layers.[0].Graphics}" IsEnabled="False"> <ComboBox.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <TextBox Text="{Binding [Messstelle]}"></TextBox> </DataTemplate> </ComboBox.ItemTemplate> </ComboBox> But my ComboBox doesnt show any Items. I think the Path of my ItemSource is wrong, but iam not quiet sure. I have a MXD with two Features, and i want to show the Attributes of the first Feature. So my ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer is the only Layer i got, but dont i have to set the Sublayer (My first Feature that has Attriubute Messsstelle) as ItemSource? How can i do that in XAML?

Hi, I have a ComboBox which shows the Names of some Features in my Layer. Now i would like to higlight the selected Feature with a red dot, so i need to add a graphics layer to it right? My Question is, how can i get the Feature to add it to the GraphicsLayer? Is the FindTask or QueryTask the only way? Can't i just say something like GraphicsLayer.Graphics.add(FeatureID)?
