I am trying to use the web Appbuilder for ArcGIS Portal (10.5) with an add data widget. According to the documentation at --> Add Data widget—Portal for ArcGIS | ArcGIS Enterprise there should be an option to configure the widget to add local files. When I attempt to configure this widget in Portal 10.5 WAB the only options I am presented with are Allow my content, Allow my Organization, Allow ArcGIS Online. There is no option for Allow File. Conversely, if I login in to ArcGIS Online and and create a new app with web appbuilder there is the option as stated for allow file within the add data widget configuration. Does anyone out here on GeoNet have the same issue or know if this is a bug or documentation error? I'm fairly new to Portal for ArcGIS coming from a few years experience with AGOL and web appbuilder.

Did you ever come up with a solution for this? I have this same question due to IT requirements at my new job.

Hi Alex, I didn't but I have changed jobs and the project I was using the above for has wrapped up. While we weren't able to successfully parse out the preferred field we wanted to use for X,Y we were able to work with our data collection input source to get what we needed for the project. We were so close to resolving this though!

Hi Alexander, Thanks for this sample. I have it about 99% working but I think it is getting hung up somewhere in the service. Maybe the last step? In my monitor page I can see that I have data coming in and the input also indicates this. However, I am not getting an output. See screenshots attached below. Any ideas where this might be getting hung up?

Due to these same issues I had to opt from using a stream service with GeoEvents to having GeoEvents receive and add features to a feature service. Then, I used the ArcToolBox "Create SQL Query Layer" to do my select for max(DATE) by unique ID and publish that to a separate service. This workflow allowed me to keep my AGS machine from being resource depleted and also get the "live points" in a map service to be consumed online. This was not the ideal workflow I was hoping for but it allowed me to accomplish what was needed without standing up a seperate machine just for running GeoEvents that could handle a stream service.

Hey guys, I'm not sure if using the field calculator (regular expression) is the function in GeoEvents I should be using to accomplish what I need so let me try and explain. I have geoevents recieving a JSON REST endpoint that contains data that looks like/similar to the below. { "record" : { "ID" : "18", "PARENT_RECORD_ID" : "0", "PARENT_PAGE_ID" : "0", "PARENT_ELEMENT_ID" : "0", "CREATED_DATE" : "2016-06-29 17:43:32", "CREATED_BY" : "username", "CREATED_LOCATION" : "36.863681:42.992592:557.165466:65.000000:18.446595:-1.000000:-1.000000:1467211407.825839", "CREATED_DEVICE_ID" : "917f86ddc676fa0ef39f910c6460838d4451f0b8", "MODIFIED_DATE" : "2016-06-29 17:43:34", "MODIFIED_BY" : "username", "MODIFIED_LOCATION" : "36.863681:42.992592:557.165466:65.000000:18.446595:-1.000000:-1.000000:1467211407.825839", "MODIFIED_DEVICE_ID" : "917f86ddc676fa0ef39f910c6460838d4451f0b8", "SERVER_MODIFIED_DATE" : "2016-06-29 17:43:38", "project_number" : "8675309j", "project_name" : "name of project", "project_nickname" : "nickname", "date_of_report" : "2016-06-29", "data_type" : "completed_activity", "admin_div_1" : "some_governorate", "admin_div_2" : "Any_Town", "admin_div_3" : "Any_Loc", "admin_div_4" : "Any_where", "a99999_benev_funding" : 204, "a99999_benev_funding_male" : 0, "a99999_benev_funding_female" : 204, "a91602" : 85, "a91602_male" : 28, "a91602_female" : 57, "a99999_children_counseling" : 16, "a99999_children_counseling_male" : 6, "a99999_children_counseling_female" : 10, "a99999_hhheads_seminars" : 0, "a99999_hhheads_seminars_male" : 0, "a99999_hhheads_seminars_female" : 0, "a99999_cohesion_activities" : 47, "a99999_cohesion_activities_male" : 18, "a99999_cohesion_activities_female" : 29, "a90107" : 31, "a90107_male" : 15, "a90107_female" : 16, "a90309" : 97, "a90309_male" : 39, "a90309_female" : 58, "a90308" : 12, "a90308_male" : 6, "a90308_female" : 6, "a99999_leaders_trained" : 0, "a99999_leaders_trained_male" : 0, "a99999_leaders_trained_female" : 0, "a99999_cfs" : 40, "a99999_cfs_male" : 20, "a99999_cfs_female" : 20, "a50200_health_services" : 366, "a50200_health_services_male" : 128, "a50200_health_services_female" : 238, "a50200_dental" : 0, "a50200_dental_male" : 0, "a50200_dental_female" : 0, "a50200_obgyn" : 76, "a50200_obgyn_male" : 0, "a50200_obgyn_female" : 76, "a99999_emergency" : 60, "a99999_emergency_male" : 30, "a99999_emergency_female" : 30, "data_submission_status" : "validated", "assign_to" : "username" }, From here I need to use the record.CREATED_LOCATION coordinates to generate two new fields for latitude and longitude that can be used for the geometry. The 1st two sections of the record.CREATED_LOCATION are the x:y. Can some one point me in the right direction for what needs to be done to achieve this? Or alternatively let me know if there is another place in the geoevents manager I should be setting this up? So far I have my JSON feed successfully passing records into a feature service, just not mapping the points.

Hi guys, I had the same error come up in my organization with a hosted feature service yesterday. Mike's suggestions may have fixed my error. However, I also realized I had an active definition query on the "problem layer" when published that I believe to be apart of the error. Removing the definition query and republishing has resolved the error for me. -Charlie

I am publishing from a 3rd party platform iFormBuilder with their ESRI Connector (Esri Connector and iFormBuilderMobile Apps - ArcGIS Integration - YouTube ) I have been using this workflow for about 10 months without error until yesterday. I work in International Aid and Development and have field crews reporting mobile assessments and reports with iForm that I need connected to our GIS. I am also in conversation with Zerion to see if there error is on their end or the ESRI end of things.

When trying to view details or add a feature layer I published to AGOL (under my account) I receive an Error message that states "Invaild URL Invalid URL". I use AGOL quite extensively and this is the 1st time I have seen this error message. Has anyone seen this before and know how to solve? I have already tried deleting the feature service and republishing to AGOL with the same results.

I know there are many versions of the export tool out there so maybe try using this one? I am running Windows 7 and Ops Dashboard version 10.3.1.1026 | Runtime Version 10.2.5.825

I noticed that as well. As far as I understand the add-on is not supported in the web browser version.
