Does anyone know if it's possible to replicate and/or synchronize data between a local SDE feature class and ArcGIS online? I want to make some data public that is inside our firewall - but it will have to be a copy to AGOL. Yes, I could replace the data each time there is a change on the local dataset, but seems like there might be an easier way. The local SDE could be in Portal but is not now. I'm just looking to have a read-only child replica in AGOL for public consumption.

Looks like ESRI states in the Release Notes that there is no longer support for Raster Catalogs in ArcPro. "Raster catalog support has been deprecated. You can use the following workflow to convert a raster catalog to a mosaic dataset."

I have the same question except my SDE data is in 10.2.2. I can try and add a layer file created in ArcMap for a Raster Catalog but the data doesn't show up. And how do you actually find direct SDE data in this thing!

ESRI's "solution":
As we both could see, based on the error there are in fact Global IDs already added to the table, but for some reason the replication process does not see the Global IDs. I have concluded that this is a data specific error and what I did to work around the issue follows.
1) Export the feature class to a file geodatabase from the SQL database.
2) Delete the Global ID field from the feature class in the file geodatabase.
3) Import the feature class to the SQL database from the file geodatabase (taking in account any naming issues).
4) Enable Archiving on the newly imported feature class.
5) Add Global IDs on the newly imported feature class.
6) Publish the feature class as a feature service.
7) The new Web Map created downloaded successfully to the Android device.
I don't really see this as a solution, only a temporary workaround. I did not have to go to File Geodb for this to work. I exported the schema XML and then imported into a new Feature class and loaded the data. No change really in the GlobalID since it was in the original record it was in the Schema. Republished the service on the new feature class and didn't even have to do anything to the Portal map. Then it synced fine. So I would say there is some problem in how ESRI is upgrading SQL databases since the "data specific error" is with the GlobalID's. Maybe a GlobalID refresh? Since it's not versioned anyway. Not sure what the trouble is since I used all the original data.

Copy and paste where? To a new database? I'm working with ESRI on a trouble ticket now so stay tuned - I don't want to have to debug the software in 2 places.

It wasn't the schema of the original dataset since I exported that and used for the new database.

Restarted the old service and got the Enable ownership to check, but still failed.

Surprise! It worked this way. Now it's not really feasible to recreate all our SQL databases from scratch. We had updated according to specs but there's something weird. One clue is that I cannot check the box on the service that will not sync on the Feature Access to Enable ownership-based access control on features. It's just greyed out along with the Query, update and delete options. I don't want to use that at this point, but I cannot use this service anyway. Any hints?

I will try and do that - have to go through our national or regional office, but worth it. Stay tuned.

There are no relationship classes or attachments. There are a few domains. For what it's worth, this originated as a 10.0 geodb. We had to jump through some hoops to get it up to what I thought was going to be disconnected editing. Upgrade DB, Upgrade storage type, blah, blah, blah. I know it's all new technology but it's very frustrating.

Table has GlobalID - there is only one feature class in the service. Data is in UTM NAD83, zone 11 as per my previous post, so I put in parameters for that. Still same error. I can edit in connected mode - just not disconnected. It's a non-versioned Feature class with Archiving on as per specs. Wish that were not the case but oh well.

So there was no dropdown in the Sync Model for "Per Replica" - there was only perLayer. Not sure of the order of xy on the extent but did both mins 1st, then maxes. Had to lookup the coordinate system for UTM NAD Zone 11 which I came up with as 2153. The basemap is a Tile Package in the same coordinate system. I ran the request and received the following errors in the Manager log. The service is published with a GlobalID so not sure what the problem is.

Well, if what you're saying is just to put in that web address, then I get a screen shot with some empty fields and I have no idea what to put in them. If I leave it blank I get a message "Unable to complete operation. Failed to parse geometry from input JSON". If I'm supposed to pass it some parameters I don't know what those are - thought the software was supposed to do that for me!

Installing the web adapter on my server did not make any difference in the ability to download. Still get the replica error even though I've "changed" services. Same service but just accessed through a different address. Do you need to register an ArcGIS Server with the Portal?

I also am using one single point feature class but I'm afraid Portal is very different with security than ArcGIS online, especially behind a firewall. I will probably be testing installing the web adapter (it's awesome to have a test server) this week to see if Portal can use services from a different machine than the Portal is installed on IF it has web adaptor. Just following the hunches.
