Hi Robert - The service is not public. The data table looks like this though and there are no Null values. The icons shown in the popup above reference these fields. Icons are displayed based on the gif image value in each field, referencing them in the assest\images folder in flex or via a virtual directory. i_bile_35.gif displays a white icon for the activity is available; i_no_bike_35.gif displays a grey icon that the activity is not available. There are also corresponding fields with Y / N values. Ideally I'd like the popup to only reflect the Y values but display the icon images. Is there a way in the WAB to develop the mapclick popup (infowindow?), or should it be set in the web map? I'm felt I was just getting a handle on Flex and am now treading water in WAB. Thanks.

Hi all - I have a popup from my old Flex site that I would like to re-create in WAB. It's displayed below and was configured using the
tag with {NAME}
, etc etc.> to pull in image icons referenced in the data table. Question #1: I'm trying to configure the pop-up in the web map using the "custom attribute display" option, but I don't see a way to display the icons horizontally referencing an tag, or via a virtual directory. Is that possible to do? And if not - egads, where would I begin to recreate the popup? The images represent Yes or No values for whether the activity is available at that location. Question #2: Ideally I'd like to configure the popup to be queried for only the activities available at each location, similar to the Park Locator Local Government template. This seems more extensive with coding, but if anyone has suggestions on where to begin or what forums to read and get started, I'd appreciate the guidance. Thank you. - Meg

Hi all - Does anyone know if a custom widget exists for WAB that mimics the behavior of the Activity Search in the Park Locator Local Government temple? http://tryitlive.arcgis.com/ParkLocatorLG/ And if not, is there a relatively easy way or any documentation to take a widget from that template and mold it into the WAB environment? Many thanks, Meg

Hi Brain - Your comment mentioning you finally got the Park Rec Finder to work internally prompts my question because I. Am. Stuck. I'm publishing our web map through Portal, editing the config.js file and then moving the application over to our IIS web server. But I consistently get errors saying 'No Basemap found' or "Item does not exist or is inaccessible". Any words or wisdom? My webmap, services and groups are set to "Everyone" in the Portal and I've changed the Portal API URL to the point to my Portal Rest API but I'm not sure if there are other settings to consider since the directions for deployment are for the AGOL environment. Many thanks, Meg (bartender!)

Thank you Jacob! We were using a self-signed certificate but just purchased a CA-signed which has cleared up some problems already. I'm going to review the Portal docs above as well as follow the proxy set up from this link to get our internal sites up and going. Internal ONLY Web Map Sharing Issues If you run across any docs on developing applications behind the firewall and then deploying them publically via Amazon that would be incredibly helpful. Thanks again, Meg

Hi all - As someone who came up working with data and maps and is now charged with deployment and security, I find myself feeling lost under the hood. Can someone refer me to any beginners documentation on how everything actually works together? I've installed Portal for ArcGIS behind our firewall for web map development and am using WAB Dev. Edition for app creation for our staff's internal use. But in the near future I will also need to deploy applications hosted by Amazon for the general public, and I'm trying to understand the security and deployment options for both scenarios. As an example, I'm getting confused on the roles of the Web Adaptors, Proxies and SSL / CA certificates. I'm fine to follow the instructions for deployment, I just like to understand *why* things are set up the way they are. Many thanks, Meg

Good morning Robert - I'm back at it again. This morning I removed your eBM widget from the client / widget directory, deleted the application, then re-installed your widget to the client folder and added it to a new, clean WAB app. I've done no additional configuration to your widget and still get the blank image on top, with my two basemaps below. The out-of-the-box widget is working fine. But this morning when after selected the basemap cache for the mashup, I was not able to select to photography cache. I would click on the green + sign and nothing would happen. And finally when I try and remove the standard hillshade, it seems to completely remove it from the gallery. I can get them both back by refreshing the site. I hope I'm not bombarding you too much with this, but if you have any insight to continue helping that would be great. Thanks, Meg

Hi Robert - In my web map, I did check the "use as basemap" option for the hillshade that you see on the thumbnail. In my Portal I have only two basemaps to use as the defaults - the two that you see in the thumbnails. I unchecked the "include ESRI basemaps" in the map settings section of My Organization which is why (I assume) they don't appear in either the out-of-the-box widget nor yours. I never added either basemap manually to the widget, not deleted the ESRI basemaps since the setting on Portal seems to override it. I'm taking off right now, but will check back in on Monday since I'm a bit unclear that you've figured it out, but I haven't! . Thanks again for all your help.

Hi Robert - The Web Console for NET, CSS, JS and Logging returns this message: widget [widgets/eBasemapGallery/Widget] created. WidgetManager.js:106:21 Unknown property '-moz-box-shadow'. Declaration dropped. style.css:8:17 http://....../webappbuilder/apps/4/widgets/eBasemapGallery/images/BlankThumbnail.png [HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found 2ms] I'm not sure if I'm looking in the right spot, but the 404 error is the only one I see, and the blankthumbnail.png is not in the apps/4/eBMG/images folder.

Okay - got it! Thanks! Seems to be working in both Chrome and Firefox. Should one of the two basemaps populate the top image on load though, or do you have to manually click a lower image to start the mashup? In my perfect world, with only two basemaps in our application, there would be the ability to have them both participate in the mashup on launch, similar to how you had it set in the Flex Viewer widget. Thanks again, Robert. Your contributions are invaluable.
