When downloading a map in collector, after choosing a basemap that's already downloaded to the device, it would be nice if the choose work area extent initially "snaps" to the extent of the previously downloaded basemap, rather than having to manually resize the screen to fit. The user could then further refine the work area if needed. It's tedious to line up the basemap with the extent window.

I'm not sure I would advocate allowing access to maps without any form of authentication. I think a better solution might be to support some form of local authentication. This could be done by generating hash values for a user's credentials when they successfully authentication while their device has connectivity. Those hash values could then be stored locally by Collector and when a user was required to authenticate while offline, Collector could simply hash the credentials the user is given and determine if the hash value for the credentials the user is giving matches the hash value of the credentials Collector stored previously. This would allow local authentication without you having to be online. In any case, I support resolving the core issue this idea presents - authenticating while disconnected.

I agree. This can now be done through the displayed coordinates of a recorded point, but if just ID'ing on the map by pressing with your finger, you still can't copy the coordinates that show up.

I recently experienced this issue again and remembered this post... checked on my bug report and there are no comments or updates to BUG-000104595: All layers from a web map are visible when opened in.. I also noticed that bringing layers from an ArcGIS Online webmap into desktop does not respect filters set in the webmap. I'm using 10.3.1 still, is this fixed in newer versions of Desktop? Our program as a whole hasn't made the switch to Pro yet.

We were having an issue where we were trying to make a copy of a hosted tile service that was created via a .tpk (through the method outlined here Limit Access to Public ArcGIS Online Layers - Crowdsource Reporter | ArcGIS for State Government ). We realized the issue was because we weren't putting in our credentials as the screenshot specifies, which was complete user error. BUT instead of getting an error message or warning about incomplete parameters, the window just said 'uploading' and was stuck so we didn't catch the issue as quickly as we would have had there been an error message. Is it possible to add a message that pops up specifying that the parameters are incomplete for this and similar windows in a future website update?

Still experiencing the same strange behaviour. I made it work by setting the group to public but only share the content to the organization (and this group, but not publicly).

Anonymous users do not see the route option. If you are using WAB and have the directions widget you must associate that widget with an organizational account and that will be associated with the credit charge.

I am currently experiencing this issue. I don't believe the feature service being saved in a map with layers checked 'off' is at the root of my problem, as the service is used for mobile data collection with the S1Mobile app, rather than Collector. It appears to be happening across all of the feature services with multiple layers that I've tested. The workaround of using My Hosted Services isn't very helpful, as most users who need to access collected data don't own the feature service, and it throws a wrench in data collection workflows where syncing changes back and forth from the field to ArcMap is needed. Any updates on the bug?
