I was told by several of the Esri staff that the presentations are posted online. Their locate may be obvious but I am new to Esri so any help would be appreciated.

Hi Maria,
We're hoping to have our "Recent Proceedings" page updated today or tomorrow with the papers and presentation materials from the Paper Sessions and Technical Workshops from last week's UC. Please note this will be the first round of updates as we're still waiting for presenters to submit their materials.
We'll also have a page up on the User Conference site in the next week or two.
Cheers
The presentations of Esri UC 2017 will be updated soon at Recent Proceedings . You can also find other recent proceedings as well.
And videos of many of the tech sessions are posed Esri Videos | E360 Videos: GIS, Events, ArcGIS Products & Industries
and the YouTube channel esri - YouTube

Do you know if there are plans to post the closing session as well?
I have never seen them post the the closing. About the best you may get is https://community.esri.com/community/events/user-conference/blog/2017/07/14/uc-2017-daily-updates-da...
BTW - the other recording they never post are the "Road Ahead" tech sessions.
That's a pity. It would be nice if they at least posted a video of the intro and awards portion.
I agree especially since I was not able to attend the closing this year. I always like the candid Q&A of the closing session. But just like the Road Ahead sessions, I can see why they may not want to post.
re: the Road Ahead...this is what is in (possibly) the works and I can understand not wanting to post that. (industry espionage, etc. ...edit but mainly because most things are under development and this is just a first glimpse of what might be coming)
re: the closing Q&A, I've heard some interesting questions over the years, some which result in some impromptu polls...some that have an impact on future plans, some that do not. But I like the candid responses. That is what makes this an interesting session (although with pre-taped questions, I'm not sure how much is candid/off-the-cuff or is now more canned answers)
my opinion only.
with that said, maybe Christopher Catania recorded addition portions that can be shared?
If possible, that would be great. My company won an award in the map gallery and the map's primary author was not able to attend. I would like to share with him the nice comments made by the judging committee at the closing.
