Welcome back to Telecom GIS in Five Minutes, Episode Eight. Today, we are going to talking about how Artificial Intelligence, plus geospatial technologies are working together to actively power the telecom industry.

So let's kind of unfold the story behind those buzzwords. Everyone seems to talk about AI, Machine learning a lot these days, but do you know the whole revolution actually started back in the 50s. Through the long history, robotics, computer evolutions, autonomous vehicle, and do you remember almost 10 years ago, in the early 2010s, we started to see AI voice assistant became mainstream. Ever since then, the power of ai has penetrated basically every industry. Commercialized AI is infiltrating every aspect of our lives with the faster and accessible computer and processing power.

Especially, the use of AI in telecom is increasingly popular, and it’s easy to see why. Not only because you could see some new positions or departments being established in your company for AI or machine learning; also because telecommunications are no longer limited to providing basic phone and internet service, the telecom industry is at the forefront of technological growth, led by faster mobile and broadband services in this new era.
