We've got a truly messed up city. Don't get me wrong, I love it... but I hate Addressing for it sometimes.
Some of our streets are LEGITIMATELY named "1234 NORTH STREETNAME AVENUE EAST" whereas others are "4321 SOUTH STREETNAME EAST AVENUE" and it makes my GIS group cringe everytime we hit "glitches" in our various systems due to this insanity.
I have recently started phase 1 of my "CREATE AN AUTHORITATIVE ADDRESS DATABASE USING THE LGM" where I have now cleaned up roughly 200,000 georeferenced points for rooftop centroids and pushed that list to the LGM SDE.SiteAddressPoint and now I have built an Address Locator - Single House Locator.
I pushed ALL of my addresses based on field names into the LGM.
So whereas I have an address 1133 South Wheeling Avenue East, I need the locator find it whether they enter it as "Avenue East" or "East Avenue."
Can anyone point me in a direction here? Do I use the MasterStreetName table?
