Check out this new ArcNews article detailing a new mobile app deployed by the South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) in California.  Developed in part using Esri’s ArcGIS Runtime SDKs, the South Coast AQMD app offers users air quality updates and other useful information wherever they go in four Southern California counties: Orange County and major portions of Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties, including the Coachella Valley.
South Coast AQMD has been a long time user of GIS technology to facilitate consumption, visualization, analysis and sharing of air quality information and this represents them taking this mobile.  Maps are an integral part of the South Coast AQMD app and users will find, for example, a map showing the current and next day’s air quality information and another map displaying locations of alternative fuel stations for places they select.  The app is available for Android and iOS devices and key capabilities are outlined in the aforementioned ArcNews article.
