Overlay Route Events Error (ArcMap 10.8.1)

I am attempting to overlay several events against our network layer and keep running into the following error: 

Any ideas?

Hi BJ - have you tried running the tool in a model? I've only been able to get this tool to work inside a model.

Hello - 

Can you verify whether the GDB connected user you have specified for the connection to the LRS network and events has read access to the Lrs_* business tables (Lrs_metadata, Lrs_EventBehavior, Lrs_Locks etc)...

The events are in a local staging geodatabase (not connected to the R&H deployment) separate from the LRS. It appears that I would need to import these into same geodatabase in order for the tool to work?

The Overlay Route Events GP tool requires inputs to be part of an LRS dataset so you will need the LRS_ tables in your local staging geodatabase.
